Dubrovnik in summer is always bustling. Tourists flood in the old town every day and by night time it is usually less crowded. That is when we could enjoy the peaceful side of Dubrovnik. For this reason, staying close to the old town is definitely a plus when looking for a hotel room in Dubrovnik.
The Hilton Imperial Hotel itself is an art piece. From the outside, it looks extremely classic and luxury. Inside the hotel, the design is even more classy. We were lucky to enjoy the executive lounge every day where scrumptious bites and various kinds of wines were served. Staying so close to the old town means that we could have a walk there or in Lokrum island in the morning, then come back to fresh up ourselves and have a drink, followed by walking the walls. We never got tired of the beauty of Dubrovnik.
On the downside, the design of the bathrooms is a bit dated. Also, the indoor pool was tiny, but we have already been to many beaches in other parts of Croatia so that didn’t bother us. The breakfast was amazing but we didn’t know that there was an option for made-to-order eggs throughout our two-night stay.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Firstly, I have to say that this hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring the old town of Dubrovnik - literally a short walk from the Pile Gate. Also, no issues with cleanliness in either the room or public areas.
However, whilst the rooms were bright and fresh, it felt outdated and lacking in some aspects. Firstly, there was a wardrobe but, aside from bedside cabinets, no drawer space. T-shirts, shorts and the like had to be stored on the shelf above the hanging rail which really isn’t much good!
The bathroom needs modernised - shower was over the bath instead of a walk-in shower which is more normal in 5 star hotels. Still mystified as to the purpose of the stool provided in the bathroom as it was too low to use at the mirror! And if you have a bath, a bar of soap would be good rather than bottles of body wash and gel half way up the wall!
No significant noise from adjacent rooms but occasional loud noise externally from motorbikes screeching up the hill from Pile Gate.
Overall - ok for a night or 2 as you explore the old town but, due to the absence of adequate storage or outdoor seating (other than the terrace at the bar), I personally would look elsewhere.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! The hotel staff, especially kudos to Mara Kacic, the Guest Relations and Duty Manager who was so personally helpful to my needs as a handicapped guest as well as all other staff members were friendly, professional and eager to assist. The hotel is decorated with old world elegant charm. The room rate included a full delicious breakfast buffet as well as a menu for other items not on the buffet such as omelettes and French Toast. There was an outdoor patio where we enjoyed breakfast as well as indoor seating. The bar area also served light fare. The location of the hotel was great as it was a short walk to the Pile Gate of Old Town Dubrovnik and all of its history and grandeur.
As a person who used a mobility scoote, navigating the nearby street to get to the Pile Gate was a challenge as there was NO CUTOUTS in the sidewalks to get from the hotel to the Pile Gate. This was in no way the fault of the hotel but rather of the city itself who has not adopted any handicapped accessible features whatsoever. But we managed by lifting my scooter down or up the curbs to get where we wanted to be.
I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone wanting a very special experience in Dubrovnik.

The hotel treats Hilton Honors members very well and we had a much appreciated upgrade to include the VIP lounge which was a valuable treat and visiting the lounge before dinner was a perfect start to each evening.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and breakfast on the terrace each morning was truly exceptional.

This is perfect for exploring Dubrovnik's atmospheric Old Town. A high quality well run hotel. Did not feel too formulaic or corporate at all.
It loses a star only on price, and lack of outdoor pool - we had upgraded to a room with a balcony and a view (which was nice to have drinking a coffee first thing in the morning - but was expensive (> $ 1 k /night).
Breakfast buffet was good, the executive lounge with free canapes and drinks 5 - 7pm was fine but crowded when there are large groups of Americans staying (as an American chain)
The concierge staff were extremely helpful in booking restaurants and providing excellent advice.

What a beautiful, elegant hotel with a rich history. This property exceeded our expectations. This was our last hotel after a 28 day travel itinerary and a comfortable place to end. The location is excellent and just outside the walls of the old city. This allows for quite a bit more privacy away from the crowds. Service is formal but helpful. The bedrooms were well appointed - we stayed in the annex - quiet, and comfortable, and the concierge very helpful in assisting us with day trip options and recommendations. The buffet is good with Ala carte options and attentive restaurant staff. We would highly recommend the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik.
What to avoid: While there, we did get a manicure and pedicure at the onsite Spa and while the service was polite, the quality of the service was not great. I left with my cuticle nicked and bleeding for a few minutes, then hit with an alcohol swab, no real apology, and finished with enamel that had bubbles in them on all my fingers and toes when they dried.

Executive suite. Best hotel location
Loved easy walk into old town
Quiet room and average size.
Nice outside terrace for breakfast w eggs cooked to order. Access to executive lounge was great for waters and end of day drinks and small bites. Bed pretty hard. Pillows little mushy. Appreciated spa use on last day but spa nothing special. Nice blues and wood and cream decor in rooms and common area. Jan and Jasksa especially helpful. Five star hotel probably means older crowd and there were few families and younger couples but older crowd overall.
2 days w outstanding private guide, Darko Simunovic. Gianni and Peppino great gelato. Every dinner was excellent seafood and fresh vegetables. Dalmatino, Arka, Posta.

Location, charm and modern amenities
Perfect location and outstanding property. Hilton Gold amenities were very good with a nice lounge, enormous breakfast and a room upgrade… and only 30 Euro’s for valet parking was a great surprise. The hotel pricey, but worth the points if you have them.

We stayed in the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik for four wonderful nights in early September. We were recognized right away as Diamond members and were upgraded to a Deluxe King Suite and had access to the Executive Lounge. The weather during our stay was pretty warm so after a day of exploring it was a nice way to relax with a cold drink in the lounge.
We ate breakfast at the hotel (included as a Diamond) 3 of the 4 days and the buffet and cooked to order items were excellent with a nice selection of hot and cold items. We also had a very nice quiet dinner in the hotel one night as well and enjoyed it.
The room was well appointed and housekeeping did a great job of keeping it cleaned and organized. The best thing though about this hotel was the location. You literally walked out the front lobby door and five minutes later you were at the Pile Gate entrance to Old Town and restaurants, etc. We could also walk to the Cable Car ticket area and station from the hotel in about 15 minutes. This would be our first choice if coming back to Dubrovnik. Thank you for your hospitality!

Excellent customer service, amazing location, and great breakfast. The Imperial has an old world style and charm - and some of the oddities that come from old world design like random stairs. We had a King Superior Room without a balcony. The room was spacious and well appointed with a well stocked mini-bar (for those that want to pay), small table with chairs, side sofa, large flat screen, and full bathroom with tub. I found the bed to be a bit on the firm side for me but generally comfortable with nice cuddly pillows. The view was of the front drive, i.e. we were over the lobby, but it was fine and quiet. Everything was very clean. We had some minor maintenance issues that were corrected promptly. The swimming pool is indoor but has a glass roof and they have a sauna and steam room. I liked that they had a cold foot bath to walk through to reduce sand and dirt in pool area. The breakfast was a full buffet with a lot of variety to meet different dietary needs. We used the executive lounge for coffee, light snacks and fruits, and the cocktail hour, which has a pretty well-stocked bar and some heavier foods like gnocchi cups, sliced ham, and cheese. The concierge was fantastic. He provided very good recommendations and advice on traveling around the city beyond the old town area. The location right outside the gate is perfect. You can walk right into old town in two minutes. Traffic is pretty bad (no joke, some of the worst I've seen), but on leaving it took us about 45 mins to drive to the airport mid-day on a Tuesday in August. I would absolutely stay here again.

We read great reviews of this hotel, and we had a great experience as well. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. We were delighted that not only was our room available ahead of schedule (our flight arrived in the morning) but that we were also upgraded to a corner suite due to his Diamond status. The suite was large with a huge balcony. The bathroom was spacious as well, with two sinks, which is always nice to have. Martina, the guest relations manager, reached out to us before our stay, and she arranged a car pickup at the airport (easily billed to the room). We had hoped to thank her in person for making the arrangements and also for upgrading us, but missed her whenever we stopped by the front desk. So THANK YOU MARTINA!
The breakfast spread was wonderful, and service was attentive. The executive lounge was a great place to relax and have a snack as well. We dined at the restaurant for lunch one day, and the staff was lovely there as well. When we asked the front desk to arrange a ride to the ferry on our departure day, they gave us breakfast boxes since our departure was so early. Another lovely gesture!
This hotel is in a great location. Just a few steps from Pile Gate, so you can walk to lots of restaurants and the old town. Plenty of bank ATMs if you need to get euros.
The concierges were helpful when asked. The only nit I had is that they felt a little snooty to me, so I was reluctant to approach them. But again, overall the staff at the hotel is lovely.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!
