What an amazing time! Came here for a one night stay with my girlfriend in March. The staff go above and beyond and really made out trip unforgettable. We were greeted with water and towels to freshen up and we stayed in the
Grand Junior Suite Corner Balcony. The room was phenomenal and had a breathtaking view.
We also booked a couples massage and it was really one of the best experiences I've had on a vacation. Highly recommend for couples or those looking to relax. I would definitely stay here again.

A great breakfast is offered. Good but limited food offered for lunch and dinner. The workout room is located at the basement level with very poor internet service in the gym.

We were welcomed when we arrived and our bags taken to our room while we checked in. The view from our balcony in room 507 was amazing! Both the room and bathroom had lots of space. All the staff were so attentive and friendly.. The concierge recommended great places for dinner and helped us rent a vehicle. The rooftop pool and main pool areas were relaxing and never without pool service and clean fresh towels. We will most definitely be back! Thanks! Stacy and Brian room 507

We stayed at the Miramar for 8 nights.
On arrival we were allocated an ocean-view suite which was totally unacceptable - you could only see the ocean if you hung off the side of the balcony. They had a suite available on the 9th floor with an additional cost of 400 US dollars. After refusing the upgrade and unacceptable suite, they found us the suite we had booked which was excellent. This initial check in experience was poor practice for a hotel of this standard. Off-putting and unwelcoming.
Once settled the hotel was very good.
The suite was spacious and well appointed. Coffee machines and coffee provided. However, trying to negotiate getting tea bags for the room from reception was impossible. We just gave up!!
The views over the terraces are absolutely stunning and often it was enhanced by seeing humpback whales in the bay. The pool, breakfast, room-servicing and front desk staff were excellent, friendly and helpful.
The pool areas had stunning views over the bay and were very comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent. Food around the pool was also excellent.
The hotel is high up overlooking PV. To get to town there are taxis available at all times. We used Uber and the cost of a return journey was about £8GBP/$10US dollars return. This was a great way to have the peacefulness and views of the hotel and madness of PV as and when you wanted it.
The hotel is very good but not excellent. It lacks attention to detail that a good manager brings to an excellent hotel.

The property was beautiful, peaceful, fantastic views, and quiet. We couldn't believe how quiet it was even with a wedding on the roof both nights. The extra decorations for our 50th anniversary was a great surprise! The only part we didn't enjoy was riding on the cobblestones up and down the hill but that was nothing against your beautiful hotel. By the time we left we were hugging everyone like family and even shared Salvatore's banana bread. The breakfast buffet was our favorite and we even have a picture of all your staff serving us. Salvatore and Antonio answered every question we had and were so helpful getting a taxi. Francisco Mendoza took very good care of us and promised to help us the next time we book since we will definitely come back to the top of the mountain!!! Antonio Rodriguez helped my husband plan the entire trip through emails that he responded to immediately. We have never had a family of helpful, loving members taking care of us on a vacation as we did at the Grand Miramar and look forward to seeing you next year!!!

We enjoyed five nights here with views that were head spinning. We had a sweet that was very large and spacious and overlooked the bay. The best part of this is not the view. It is the employees everyone is so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is off the charts good I am not a breakfast person and yet I couldn’t wait to go down and try something. The chef would even make omelettes custom ordered my husband use the spa and said the massage was a 10. Yes the hotel is high up on a mountain which requires a cab to and from town, but it is well worth it for the beauty

Poor management and customer service. We booked a master suite to stay 16 days. The Room didn't have blackout curtains, and we requested to have a room where we could sleep. The only option was to gave us a 2 room place, BUT , we needed to pay extra usd $2,000 and more. No even a certificate for a dinner, or a first night discount in the suite that didn't meet our expectations. Most hotels can give an upgrade to acknowledge guests that stay for more than 5 days, specially paying for a master suite. No customer service at all.
Service though at their restaurants and cleaning lady were really good.
The hotel is not luxury at all.
Location is not good. Far away from everything, and a very bumpy road to go out and down.

One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The hotel staff was exceptional they were kind and precessional and not pushy at all, they did not try and up sale my wife and I on anything and they had good advice if we asked. Special shout outs to Salvador at the front desk, and our servers Jorge & Abel. The room view was absolutely stunning! Room service was quick and professional about 20-30min wait times. Taxis were out front waiting for you to travel anywhere. My only complaint if I even call it that, was the doors to the rooms were very loud when they closed which woke me up a few times late at night and early in the morning from other couples down the hall, I am a light sleeper. Otherwise all I can say is this is a great place to spend time on vacation! 10/10.

We loved Grand Miramar so much! Everything was perfection from the easy booking with Cesar to the warm greeting we received upon arrival and easy check-in. People on the bell desk are best ever ... greeting you, helping with transportation or anything else you need. Loved they had security checking people coming into the resort it made it feel really safe/secure. The views are simply amazing from every part of the hotel. Our Grand Junior Suite was so clean, spacious and had very amenity we appreciated ... kitchenette, jacuzzi bath, fabulous shower with lovely bath products, comfy king bed with nice bedding, decent TV with only a few English channels and awesome balcony with views.
The food at the resort was fabulous. Breakfast was the best food we had in all of PV! Many authentic Mexican options that I tried everyday and of course, they had standard items also like fruits, eggs, oatmeal - anything you can want and you could also order special items but we never did because the offerings on buffet were perfect. We ended up having dinner at Eugenia 3x during the week. The food was awesome and the sunset views crazy gorgeous. I wish the menu would change though as it's the exact same menu we had last year on our visit. Service was good - the servers worked so hard and they were very busy.
The resort is on the top of the mountain and getting up there is no joke! it's only a five minute drive from the highway but it's steep! We did end up going into town more that we thought at least 1x per day and sometimes twice. The Ubers were a bargain getting up and back and we used taxis too when we could not get an Uber. We ended up walking down/back a few times. Truthfully, it's easier to walk than take cars up/town those steep cobble streets!
The main pool was cold so I could not swim laps. (I did use the gym instead). But I think they turned the heater on the day we left as large pool warmed up! The smaller pool on main pool deck was lovely. The upstairs adult pool on top was simply gorgeous and with sun, would be perfect (it's heated) but we had about 4 days of cloud so it did not warm up until the end of our trip. Super comfy chairs though and nice relaxing music so we literally spent the entire last day of our trip just relaxing and reading. Service was fabulous there so we just had some drinks, etc. and there was never a need to leave the resort.
Overall this hotel is SIX * out of five! Ha! We loved it. It was our 2nd year in a row at Miramar. Grand Miramar exceed our expectations in every way! In fact, we've been all over Mexico for the past twenty years and I'm certain this was our favorite trip ever ... Puerto Vallarta is so charming and this resort being out the crazy busy area made it the best of both worlds!

DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff kicked us out in the middle of the night on our second night. They proceeded to call “police” who handcuffed me and took the cash out of my wallet. They then drove me and my girlfriend around to ATMs to have her withdraw more money.
In addition, I reached out via Expedia and my CC company to get a refund since they kicked us out and we didn’t stay the whole trip. The hotel staff lied to both Expedia and my CC company and said we were there the entire time! THIS HOTEL IS VERY UNSAFE AND WILL SCAM YOU!

It's a beautiful hotel with friendly service. We like that it's in a quiet & secluded area AWAY from downtown but only a 5 minute Drive there.
The service from everyone was great, ESPECIALLY from
Seraphín Hernandez (front desk), Nancy (housekeeping), Mario (bellboy), Alberto (bellboy), Ulysis, Jorge, Abel, Monica in "Cielito Lindo" restaurant, Raul (downstairs pool area), & the gentleman that offers the pool towels in the main floor pools, they were VERY Attentive, Friendly, Pleasant & Professional.
Thank you Grand Miramar for a wonderful & relaxing stay.
We look forward to returning.
Muchas gracias Grand Miramar :)

Having been to this hotel twice before I was mildly disappointed in its gradual decline.
Though the staff try hard, it seems the management have decided to cut costs and increased prices. Most notably the selection available in the included breakfast that has lost in quantity and quality. Particularly notable was the rather stale pastry, the omelettes fried in oil not butter and the feeling that breakfast came right out of the freezer.
Also I noticed with sadness the loss of the small shop where you used to be able to get snacks. Now apparently you can only get drinking water or ice through room service, yes no ice machine.
The money saving has also killed the welcome margarita when booking in. It’s a little thing I know, but noticed by your repeat customer.
$15 service fee? Having paid in advance for our stay we are faced upon arrival with a $15 usd per day “service fee”. Alas the old Mirramar didn’t shake down its customers like that. Disappointing.
Previously this hotel felt like a luxury hotel. You were a valued guest. You felt though expensive, it was worth the splurge. The perception now is that it’s just a hotel, quite far out from the town where they put economy before experience.
Again the staff are excellent, the management… poor
Alas though we have many good memories, we won’t be back.

Our vacation stay at Grand Miramar exceeded our expectations! The views of the ocean and city are stunning! We choose a Junior Suite , over 1000 square ft, huge suite, kitchen, living room, huge walk in shower with separate soaker jetted tub. The customer service was TOP NOTCH, all the workers are very friendly and professional! The breakfast buffet was delicious with stunning views overlooking the ocean. Ulises Lopez was an outstanding waiter who went above and beyond each day we had breakfast at Cielo Lindo. Abel and Edwin at Cielo Lindo were always ontop of everything, they also provided outstanding service. We decided to have dinner at the Eugenia at the rooftop pool, the views of the sunset were empecable! Perfect place to end your vacation stay. Luis at the Eugenia was our waiter, he went above and beyond. Outstanding customer service. He was very professional and made our dinner feel very romantic with lighting a tea light at our table. Food was DELICIOUS and very affordable. We have traveled to Vallarta many times and we have stayed at other resorts and we gotta say Grand Miramar will be our first choice of stay from now on! Thanks to all the wonderful staff there , we will be booking our vacations at Grand Miramar from now on. The only request I would have for Grand Miramar is to have chilaquiles at your breakfast buffet and to upgrade to a bigger shower head! Huge beautiful shower but the current shower head did not do justice for the size of the shower other than that, our stay was the best we have stayed in Vallarta! Thank you Grand Miramar for making our wedding anniversary a great one ! We will definitely be returning.

Honestly, I don’t see a reason not to book this hotel! I paid $300 for two nights and it was the best stay of my whole trip (I stayed in 3 different hotels for culture and experience over 8 days). Alberto Alvarez is one of the best hotel staffers I met on site and it’s almost like we become friends how kind and helpful he was. I will definitely be coming back to stay here in the future and hopefully for a longer stay because everything was top tier excellence. The rooms were nice and clean, the tub, the space, the shower, the staff.. all amazing. It was almost as if this hotel was the best you could get in the area. Yes, it is up in the “Beverly hills” of the city, but for the price of the rooms and the inexpensive costs of Ubers and taxis, this place is unbeatable with the views and experience. The breakfast wasn’t my favorite but room service is fast and dedicated and everything was at least a 7/10 in terms of taste. For the pictures I took and luxuries I experienced, one would think this hotel was about $700 usd per night. THATS how luxury this hotel was. Amazing staff ! I cannot stop raving about them and how even the taxi service got me to my bus on time because I was running late and wouldn’t have made it any other way. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended. Do not second guess this stay ! Definitely worth it. Ask for Alberto ! He says to never fear because Alberto is here and that’s the truth ! Love love love the stay. Thanks to the staff for being some of the most welcoming of people. Top notch stay for sure. They will even pair you with safe and quality excursions! I can guarantee this will be my spot if I was to ever come back. And this was my first trip out of Texas EVER in my life. Great experience!
