Maybe it is timing but there were 2 large conventions while on property and it felt like being at a fraternity party. 25-30 year olds every where who were loud and intoxicated. Property is huge and rooms nice. Service disappointing, concierge were worthless. Have stayed at multiple 5 star properties...

**Avoid This Hotel at All Costs – Worst Customer Service Experience Ever!**

If I could give this hotel zero stars, I absolutely would. My recent experience dealing with their reservation customer service team was hands down the most frustrating, unprofessional, and infuriating interaction I’ve ever had with a "luxury" hotel.
I encountered a simple reservation issue where a room credit was not applied to my reservation despite that being in the advertised package. This was a simple issue that should have been easy to fix. Instead, I was met with nothing but rudeness, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. The front desk staff were dismissive and unhelpful, essentially shrugging their shoulders instead of making any effort to resolve the situation. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was transferred to 5 different representatives. After waiting an absurd amount of time, I finally got in touch with a manager who, shockingly, was even more unprofessional than the staff. Instead of assisting me, they were condescending and defensive, acting as if I was the problem rather than a paying customer who simply wanted the reservation fixed and the room credit assigned.
I spent HOURS on the phone trying to get this resolved, only to be transferred from one unhelpful representative to another. The easiest part of the process (and the best customer service) was when I called back to cancel my entire reservation and spa appointments (dodged a bullet by not staying here!)
This hotel desperately needs a lesson in customer service, professionalism, and basic hospitality. There are plenty of other places to stay—trust me, anywhere else is better than this nightmare.

Our experience was excellent and felt luxurious. Pay the extra money to get a Fairmont Gold Suite. There is a separate lounge (with is own concierge) for Gold guests only. Breakfast and evening appetizers are included in the lounge. We went during the Christmas lights. It was amazing and made you feel like you were at a carnival. The room itself is very comfortable. Get a room with a couch. Also, I wish we had a southern facing room to get the daylight sun on the patio (balcony). We went to two different pool areas. Everything was clean and comfortable. Get food at the pool shack.
Fish tacos were good. The Bourbon steakhouse was ok. Nothing fabulous. The food was good, but no bread with the meal. Instead, the first thing brought to the table was French fries with a couple of dipping sauces. Forget the French fries and offer bread. Very expensive. Dinner for two with no drinks was $300+. Lots of walking, but chauffeured golf carts save you some time. I want to go back.

The holiday lights and fun holiday activities made our stay for several days at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess wonderful. With extensive decorations throughout the entire hotel property, we spent every night visiting different holiday areas. The train ride that runs throughout the property provided an easy way to see many of the lights and areas we wanted to visit when walking around.
The Gold Floor section on the hotel property provided a restful, quiet area away from the evening light shows and music. The Fairmont Princess Gold staff provided excellent service in the lounge and helping with restaurant and other reservations. All Gold staff members were very helpful in answering questions and making recommendations so our stay was memorable. The morning breakfast and afternoon canapes in the lounge are very nice. Gold team members really focused on providing Great Customer Service!
The Plaza Bar was an excellent location for food and beverages plus experiencing the evening light shows and festive music. Servers provided great recommendations for beverages and food.
With all the holiday lights and attractions throughout the Fairmont Princess property, guests really do not need to leave the property. The different style restaurants and bars also provided excellent options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really enjoyed the golf carts hotel staff use to transport guests around the property throughout the day and evening. We look forward to returning again.

This is our second time at the Fairmont Princess. Last year we stayed in the gold jr. suite. We liked the resort but didn’t like the location of that category of room.
This year we booked a “deluxe” view room facing the lagoon. (Which ended up facing the children’s play ground, not the lagoon- which matters during Christmas)
The day before arrival I called the hotel to ask about getting my husband access to the spa gym (there are 2 gyms). I was told that we could buy a pass upon check in tomorrow.
Upon check in the following day (after flying in from another state) we were told that they do not sell spa passes on Saturday and Sunday (we are here Friday-Monday). I explained that I had called the day before and was told we could buy them, the front desk male went and asked his manager who told him that the only way we could get the spa access for my husband was to upgrade to a different room at $500 EXTRA a night ($1500 for the stay) on top of the nearly $2000 we already paid for the deluxe room.
No thanks.
So we are told are room isn’t ready and to come back. Not a care given at my concern for being told two different things.
After an hour and a half I get a text that our room is ready, so we come back to the front desk to get the keys.
We are met with a female and a trainee.
We explain how that left a bad taste in our mouths as this was a “resort vacation” for us and had we known we wouldn’t be able to pay the $75 for the spa pass, we wouldn’t have come.
They go back once again and speak to a manger, who says the same- upgrade at $500 a night or nothing.
If we could leave, we would, but we can’t.
We usually go to the hotel del Coronado for a Christmas hotel weekend, but we liked this hotel so much, we came back- never again.
This was my early birthday celebration- thanks for ruining it.
Fairmont Princess- let me ask you this- is it worth losing customers over a $75 pass?!
Train your staff so everyone is on the same page.
Like another reviewer said- so many options- it’s a lot of money- go somewhere you and your money are appreciated.
