The best things about this hotel are its location and value priced rooms. Palermo is a safe and happening neighborhood filled with bars restaurants and shops that are frequented by locals and tourists. Duque is smack in the center of Palermo that makes it a great base to explore this beautiful city. Yet the hotel is quirky with comfortable but dated decor and fixtures in the lobby and rooms. There is a small pool that is refreshing in the hot and humid summer (the room AC worked great) but the spa is nothing more than a closet sized sauna, small indoor jacuzzi and a massage room that must be reserved in advance for an hour. While breakfast is included with rooms, the food, coffee and service were unremarkable so we found better nearby. You get value for your money here as long as you keep your “boutique” expectations in check: a comfortable room in a fab location.

We stayed at the Duque Hotel for 4 nights in September, what an amazing hotel. The staff, the facilities, the room, breakfast, the spa all were just perfect. Perfect location for the restaurants and shops in Palermo. Would highly recommend.

100% recommend staying at Duque Hotel. My wife and I stayed with them for 5 nights and we were blown away by how great of an experience we had. The room was a bit small, but very comfortable and clean. Everything was perfect. The staff was super friendly and beyond helpful. The breakfast spread every morning was extensive and delicious. And finally the location in Palermo Soho was ideal for what we were looking for - walking distance to hundreds of restaurants, cafes, parks, shops, and the subway.

My wife and I had a wonderful multiple night stay at the Duque boutique hotel in Buenos Aires and were very happy with the central Palermo location, clean and well-maintained accommodations, the friendly and very helpful front desk staff, and the crazy shower water pressure. Location The location is fantastic. You’re just a few blocks from a bunch of restaurants in the area, ranging from the great treehouse-themed cafe Moshu to the aptly-named Burger Joint to the famed, Michelin-rated parrilla / steakhouse Don Julio (note: absolutely get a reservation several months in advance online). There are also a lot of classy, if pricey shops within walking distance, and the Palermo neighborhood itself is very safe, with people walking about at all hours. There is a decently-sized Carrefour supermarket on Scalabrini Ortiz if you want any grocery items, and several pharmacies nearby. Additionally, as the hotel is just a half block from the major Avenida Scalabrini Ortiz, it’s super easy to just walk out of the hotel doors and catch a cab to anywhere in the city. Additionally, when returning, you can just tell the taxi driver to take you to the corner of Scalabrini Ortiz and Guatemala, which is easier than giving them the address and having them look it up on their phone. The inflation has been changing things recently, but as of July 2024 taxi rides were about 3000-5000 pesos (roughly $3-4 US dollars) for rides to major sites like the Teatro Colón, San Telmo market, Recoleta cemetery, etc. Accommodations We were on the second floor facing Guatemala Street with a small balcony. There can be a bit of noise from the traffic, passing trucks, etc., but it’s fairly manageable given that there are three layers of closures between the room and the outside - a thin sliding glass door, folding metal shutters, and then interior wooden doors. If you’re a very light sleeper, though, you might want to consider earplugs or set up an iPad or somesuch to play white noise. The room itself was nicely sized and appointed, with a standard flat screen TV, comfy king bed, and a decently-sized bathroom with a toilet, separate bidet, and walk-in shower with a sliding glass door. Speaking of the shower- I don’t know if this is a Buenos Aires thing or if it’s specific to the hotel, but the water pressure was intense, and not in the needle-y water saver shower head way. The shower head itself is just a normal non-rain head shower head, but standing under it was like you were standing under a broken water pipe - absolutely glorious. No issues with hot water, either, despite the sheer volume of water coming through. Hotel Services In addition to a classy seating area / library with comfy couches, there is a small room with a couple of computers and a cute little cafe in the back of the hotel where the complimentary breakfast is served with a nice selection of foods including medialunas (Argentine croissant), yogurt, juices, and tarts in addition to eggs / omelettes made to order. There is also an automatic espresso maker in the back, available 24 hours a day, which makes serviceable Americanos, macchiatos, etc. There is also a small spa in the basement with a sauna, hot tub that can accommodate maybe 6-8 people, a tiny massage room, and an interesting surround shower which we tinkered with briefly but couldn’t get working. If you want to use the spa, they ask that you notify the front desk an hour beforehand so they can pre-warm the hot tub. There was also a treadmill that I can’t imagine anyone ever uses, given how walkable the neighborhood is. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, particularly the people at the reception desk. They cheerfully helped us with directions and allowed us to store our luggage before flying out in the evening. Speaking of the front desk, be aware that you have to give them your key card when you head out and then get it back when you re-enter the hotel by telling them your room number. Not sure the reason for that particular policy, but it wasn’t a big deal. So, all-in-all, I wholeheartedly recommend the Duque Hotel if you’re staying in Buenos Aires. It’s really a perfect little boutique hotel for a great stay in a great city!

The hotel is neat and clean, very well located and had everything we needed for our short stay. Staff were very accommodating and helpful, specially Florencia from the front desk and the nice breakfast lady. Highly recommended

The classic room is Neat & clean. Staffs are helpful & speak English. Breakfast was included & served good food. Common area is Nicely decorated, cozy sittings. They have a small outdoor pool. Location is convenient. Check in & check out was quick & efficient.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Duque Hotel. The hotel was very charming and clean, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the location in Palermo can’t be beat (within walking distance of tons of restaurants, bars and parks). We would absolutely stay here again.

They bent over backwards to make us feel at home. The breakfast was great and the cook was able to make eggs for us as well. pool area is sweet, though the pool was too cold to use even in the heat. The hot tub area is a nice touch but feels very sad and dingy. Dim lighting. Ammonia smell. Just kinda sad and cramped. Location is great!

We spent two nights at Duque Boutique Hotel in Buenos Aires. One night before a cruise and one night after the cruise. We arrived a little before their normal check in time after very long flights. Flor greeted us warmly and advised that our room was ready. The room was small but quite comfortable and functional. We loved exploring the Palermo SoHo neighborhood. There are lots of shops, restaurants and bars within a few blocks of the hotel. Flor kindly made dinner reservations for us at Cabernet, a wonderful parillla not far from the hotel (great steaks). After a great meal we slept soundly. The included breakfast was extensive and tasty. They will cook eggs for you the way you like them. Later that day the staff arranged for a taxi for us to the cruise port. Upon our return about 2 weeks later we arrived around 10:00am. They were happy to store our luggage until our room was ready. Our room again was very clean and comfortable. Francisco, Flor and others there were very helpful for us. Unfortunately the Botanical Garden is closed on Mondays, but it was nice to just walk around the park. At times we found the WiFi did not work very well in our room, but there is a comfortable guest lounge on the ground floor. Internet was fine there. Duque Boutique Hotel and Spa is a wonderful place to stay in this huge city.

Lovely, friendly boutique hotel in a great location for a quiet night's sleep but premier bars and restaurants only a five minute walk away. The room was very clean with crisp bedding and both air-conditioning and ceiling fan. My room also had universal electric sockets and three USB charging points located at a desk beneath the television. Hotel staff spoke fluent English and were friendly: they were always welcoming and frequently asked what more they could do. Breakfast was provided and qas extensive with pastries, cakes and fritatas on offer together with made to order eggs and toast. Asepf service coffee machine was also available. Outside had a small enclosed garden with seating and swimming pool. An excellent hotel. Highly recommend.

Super hotel in great location, friendly, helpful staff. Good clean rooms with all the amenities you need. Well presented breakfast with a good range of food and freshly prepared hot options. Good garden area with a pool and spa. Handy location for getting taxis to all the main attractions

Just enjoyed a 3 night break at this nice hotel. Hotel is spotless with a lovely little courtyard. Continental style breakfast is good and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is very safe and ideal for walking around Palermo and short and cheap uber rides to downtown attractions. We attended an Asado event organised by the hotel and had a fantastic night of eating delicious Asado and drinking marvellous wine. Don’t miss this if it’s on offer whilst here.

Was just not our cup of tea (already spoke with the front desk) - from airport to room, not the best experience - 200 characters. Just do your homework, we should have done ours better would have alleviated stress all around. I just wanted it short and to the point.
