Cornaro Hotel

I stayed in hotel Cornaro for the first time. Besides friendly staff and very good position in the ciry centre, hotel has an amazing spa! Miss Lara’s face treatmant was exceptional - worth every penny! Would reccomend trying both massage treatments , face treatments and spa.

What an amazing place to stay. Location is absolutely fabulous. The staff fell over backwards to be helpful. And the breakfasts were sensational. Really can't fault the hotel in any way. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to visit the beautiful coastal city of Split.

Great location. Loved the spa also. Good gym if you want a workout. Good breakfast. Nice people. The rooftop bar has incredible views of Split. Pro tip- Uber needs to know exact location for pickup, they were confused. To me the location is what makes the place shine!

The hotel is beautiful! The location to Old Split is just a few minute walk from the hotel. There are many restaurants, shops, the promenade and the old world charm and history of Split. There are two entrances to the hotel, one of which is handicapped accessible. The hotel staff were friendly, professional and very helpful. The extensive full breakfast was included with the room rate. There were meats, cheeses, breads, pastries and also made-to-order omelettes if desired. One of the days that we were there it rained so I indulged in a facial at the hotel's spa which was wonderful! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Split!

Had a wonderful stay at the Cornaro Hotel it is perfectly located to the old town, Riva and all the wonderful restaurants. The reception team were fantastic, especially Lidija and "Super Mario" .the breakfast and room were excellent. Will return.

This hotel is not 5 stars for a multitude of reasons. Firstly, the bellman asked if we wanted help with our bags, which were in great number. He said he was going to get a trolley. He did not. We can only imagine him, moving two bags at once from reception to the elevators, down the hall and away from sight, going back to retrieve the rest, and leaving whatever he had moved or not moved left unattended. This was unsettling to us and really put us on edge once we found out as he delivered our bags, and we saw him struggling to get them one by one off the elevator which was across from our first room. Their website notes that all rooms have walk in showers. This was important to us, as we have mobility, back, and hip issues. Our room had a very deep, raised tub; it was very hard to get in and out of. Further, when we turned on the air in the room we checked into, it made an incredibly loud rattling sound. There was no way we could have slept in that room. Someone on the staff should have reported it, and the room should never have been available for occupancy. We had already begun settling into the room, which takes us about an hour, when we discovered the noise. Time and effort was wasted. We only had one night to enjoy the beautiful city. The television was smaller than my computer monitor, and a five-star hotel would place at least one bottle of water in each room. The one we are staying at right now (elsewhere), very properly rated, offers unlimited water, as have all the others we have stayed at around the world. And, speaking of water, the tub did not drain properly, which was gross and potentially dangerous. Lastly, when we checked out, no one asked us how our stay was. This, too, is not indicative of a five star. Actually, not even a four-star hotel. On the positive side, the breakfast was lovely. The choices were plentiful for all palettes, and the coffees and fresh juices were delicious. The server was terrific and attentive. I wish I had gotten her name; she would have rated 5 stars. All I can say is that she served us on the non-smoking terrace, and she was blondish. They did have a smoking room for dining, which we also found disgusting, as it was right next to the buffet. Again, not 5 stars. More like no stars.

But Thea was amazing and well worth breaking my rule! The sauna was hot and the cold shower a great beginning. But it’s Thea that really made it worthwhile.

This hotel is outstanding. Staff are very friendly and polite. They advised on places to visit away from Split . Trogir and Omiš were very nice and only a short ride from Split .Breakfast had plenty of choices with option of fresh cooked food also . Breakfast staff so helpful...

Rooms were excellent with plenty of toiletries in the bathroom .Beds comfy . TV had a few English channels. Location of this hotel has to be the main reason for staying . Turn out the hotel either way and you are in the centre . Small supermarket across the road if extras needed. It is worth the star rating .

The service from the moment we walked into this hotel has been exceptional! We have loved every member of the staff, we actually started our trip at this hotel, and ended. They remembered us. We have enjoyed using all of the spa services, especially this deem, and finish saunas. We had a group of couples who had an incredible time on the rooftop deck with its amazing view of the city day or night. This is been a true luxury trip, and every hotel we have stayed at has been wonderful, but the breakfast service at this hotel was the best quality we have enjoyed in Croatia.

Having spent two nights at Hotel Cornaro this summer, we immediately decided that we had to come back. We have now checked out after another three nights there, and we were just as happy this time! The location is very convenient, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the roof top terrace is a wonderful place to spend a sunny day or a warm evening, and the breakfast is UNFORGETTABLE. We have never stayed at a hotel with such a variety of hot and cold food, locally inspired dishes, fruits, bread, meat, fish, cheese - you name it! And everything being refilled until the very last minute before closing time.

I would rate this hotel overall as excellent. Location is 10/10 -We picked up a rental car at SPU and drove here, we did not use the car until we left. Upon arrival go through the back outside entrance to drop off the car to valet. -From hotel the walk to Diocletian’s Palace was around ~4 minutes and ~7 minutes to the Riva promenade walk. Plenty of eateries, bars, gelato all within a quick walking radius. -Within that radius is also most of the land and boat tour meeting points. -We went to Diocletian’s Palace at night in September, around 7pm and it was empty. -Spa services was ~$130 for 1 hour massage which was very nice. Similar to Swedish massage. -Breakfast is fantastic with a wide variety of spread. -The bed was two twins pushed today, which is ok, standard across Europe. -Towels were a little sparse in the bathroom. -Staff was very friendly and happy to help with any questions. Would recommend this hotel for a stop in Split.

This is a lovely hotel, the staff are exceptional in their dealings with visitors, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We loved our stay in Split, the rooftop bar manager made every visit to that lovely spot particularly nice, he brings the space alive.

The only problem we had was outside noise in the early hours but at least the staff provided ear plugs and the roof pool is only for sitting in with a drink but it keeps you cool.

We loved this hotel. We had a great time in Split. The hotel was very in center of town and within walking distance to most site. The receptionists and concierge were very helpful in helping with any activities you might want to do. I would go again, loved Croatia.

The Hotel Cornaro is an exceptional hotel located in the heart of old town. We could easily walk to the Diocletion Palace, the Riva and so many fine restaurants and wine bars. The roof top pool with bar and restaurant was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The rooms were fresh, the beds luxurious, offering everything you needed. The staff were very warm and welcoming. We really felt appreciated during our stay.
