We just returned from a relaxing 5-day stay at the Conrad Osaka and immediately are planning a return trip to this wonderful city - with every intention of staying at the Conrad. Why the Conrad Osaka when there are so many others? As someone who stays in hotels on average of 150-180 nights each year, one of the key differentiating factors that separates good hotels from great hotels is the staff. At the Conrad Osaka we were treated with unfailing hospitality with everyone we encountered. From the moment we stepped onto the property we were met with warm smiles and sincere greetings - beginning with the doormen to the front desk associates to the folks in the lounge and restaurants, the staff just radiate hospitality. Not the kind you receive as a “courtesy” or as an “obligation”, but the kind that is tangibly different. Special thanks to Momoko for taking such good care of us throughout the week! She took the time to talk with everyone in the Executive Lounge and showed genuine interest in everyone she engaged with while always working diligently. In actuality, every Conrad team member we encountered exemplified this same level service - A big “Wow” deserving of a round of applause to them all. Clearly, the management have assembled an impressive team.
Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect on your stay:
1. Hotel Interior / Lobby - Impressive surroundings with amazing views. The Conrad Osaka signature scent throughout the hotel is delightful and soothing. If you know, you know - it’s on our list of “must-haves” next visit.
2. Room - comfortable beds, great HVAC system, wonderful shower and great water pressure. The Sharp television in the room made me realize it’s time to upgrade the one at home. Solid channel offerings that other hotels should emulate. Exterior noise was non-existent.
3. Concierge - stellar team, these folks make it happen with a smile.
4. 40 Sky Bar - relaxing environment, creative beverages.
5. Breakfast - extensive options (Western, Japanese and Chinese), without sacrificing flavor or quality. The roast beef offering is next level - cooked perfectly, smoky, tender, full of flavor. We need that recipe. It’s that good.
6. Location - centrally located, easy walking distance to Osaka Station & the Metro, with dining options galore all around. Conveniently, Family Mart is next door.
7. Housekeeping - these folks are on point and manage to make it happen twice a day. It’s Instagram ready every time.
8. Restaurant Servers - these folks are everywhere at once. It’s very evident they’ve received extensive training and their ability to speak a number of languages is quite impressive. Kudos to each and every one of the kitchen staff.
Over the years we’ve stayed at a number other hotels in Osaka, but I think we’ve found “home”. This is a beautiful hotel, making it worthy for consideration on anyone’s list, but deciding to stay here is really an investment in your own well-being. After a day of exploring, it’s the kind of place you actually look forward to coming back to knowing you’ll be well taken care of.

Our stay at Conrad Osaka was exceptional from start to finish. The thoughtful touches throughout made us feel completely at home, and every interaction with the staff was delightful. The team always went above and beyond—whether it was offering helpful recommendations, ensuring our comfort, or greeting us with a warm smile, they truly made our experience special.
The swimming pool and spa area were stunning—elegantly designed, comfortable, and welcoming. Every visit to these areas was greeted with warmth, and it provided the perfect space to relax and unwind.
We also loved the dining options at the hotel. Breakfast was beautifully presented and tasted amazing. What impressed me most was how the manager, Valentino, thoughtfully recommended I try the most popular beef option from the buffet. Their Eggs Benedict was also absolutely delicious. KURA Teppanyaki stood out as an unforgettable dining experience—the chefs were incredibly professional, and every dish was crafted to perfection. It’s clear the team takes great pride in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
It’s hard to imagine anything surpassing the warm and unforgettable time we had at Conrad Osaka. We loved our stay so much that we’ve already decided to stay at Conrad Tokyo for our upcoming trip.
Thank you to Valentino and the entire team for creating such a wonderful and lasting memory. We can’t wait to return!

This was our first time in Osaka, and we chose to stay at Conrad Osaka for two nights. While the hotel boasts an impressive lobby and a 5-star location, the overall experience left much to be desired, especially given the premium price.
Location:
The location is undeniably excellent. It’s close to Osaka Station and sits right above Osaka Metro. The Keihan subway is just steps away, and bus 62 across the street conveniently takes you to Osaka Castle. On a rainy day, we discovered you could even reach Namba Walk without stepping onto the surface streets. The area is full of restaurants, and we enjoyed exploring nearby options, including a fantastic okonomiyaki restaurant. There are also several dining options in the building across the street, making it easy to find a meal.
Check-In Experience:
This was one of the most frustrating aspects of our stay. While the hotel tried to create a “tailored” customer experience, it ended up being inconsistent and inefficient. Upon entering the building, I was asked for my name. On the 40th floor, I was asked again. At the front desk, I was asked a third time before being told to wait on a couch while they “confirmed” something. After about five minutes, a staff member escorted me back to the desk, and yet again, I was asked for my name.
I had emailed the hotel months in advance, mentioning that we were celebrating our anniversary and requesting an upgrade as a Diamond member. While I understand the hotel was fully booked, I was disappointed that no effort was made to acknowledge our celebration meaningfully. I was offered complimentary breakfast and lounge access as Diamond member, but it felt like a token gesture rather than genuine hospitality.
The Lobby and Room Access:
The lobby was uncomfortably warm during check-in, possibly due to the large windows letting in direct sunlight. It was unpleasant to walk in from the low 40s (Fahrenheit) outside into a space that felt like it was in the 80s.
Accessing the rooms requires a bit of a process. You need to take one elevator to the 40th floor, cross the lobby, and then take another elevator to your room. While not a dealbreaker, it added unnecessary steps to getting in and out of the hotel.
The Room:
The room was fine but unremarkable for a luxury hotel. The view was nice, but the amenities were average compared to other 5-star properties. The oversized oval bathtub was a unique touch, but otherwise, it felt standard for a city hotel in this price range.
Lounge Access:
The evening cocktail hour was disappointing. You’re required to choose a 50-minute time slot, which felt restrictive. We found it odd that staff actively reminded guests of their time limit, even when the lounge was half empty. After being told that food and beverages had been replenished, a staff member informed us that our time was up, despite us simply relaxing by the window and enjoying the skyline. This approach felt unnecessarily rigid and detracted from the experience.
Overall Experience:
The most disappointing part was the lack of effort to make our anniversary special. Despite notifying the hotel via email and phone, the only acknowledgment was a small chocolate cake. I was hoping for a thoughtful surprise that would make the trip memorable for my wife, but it never happened.
While the hardware of the hotel is fine, the service falls short of expectations. After the first night, I wished we had chosen the Ritz-Carlton or even the W. For the price, the experience was below average, and I wouldn’t stay here again.

Let me first start the review saying that this was my 16th Conrad hotel, obviously big fan of the brand. But this stay of three nights (THR-SUN) was a bit disappointing, although there were also positive aspects. We arrived at the hotel at 12.30, and hoped that our upgraded premium king room would be available. No luck, so we settled for entry level deluxe room, as we had business meeting and needed to change, did not have time to wait in the lounge for the room that wasn't yet cleaned. No big deal. Deluxe room was still rather large, nicely appointed, with very comfy bed and luxurious bath. We had problems sleeping though, as air in the room was very dry and windows obviously couldn't be opened, and there was no humidifier or similar device that would help with the issue. We did end up visiting executive lounge on 39th floor every day for evening spread and once also for afternoon tea. Afternoon tea was pleasant and calm, but evening cocktails were just pure zoo. Cannot remember if I ever saw assembly style lines for the buffet at any Conrad, a bunch of super hungry people were attacking the food as if they had not eaten for a month. On Saturday evening we just gave up and left, as all the food disappeared in less than 5 minutes and although staff were tying to replenish it, hungry mob could not be beaten. Almost the same picture repeated itself with breakfast - had to wait in line on Saturday (10min) and Sunday (7min) around 9:30am to get the table. Wasn't overly impressed with the breakfast - although food was of great quality, choices were rather limited for us as western persons. Also service flow was rather slow - we waited for mint tea more than 15 minutes. Upon check out we were informed that breakfast was also served in the executive lounge on Sunday - too bad that this was not written anywhere. Overall, they have great hardware, great views, but crowds destroy lots of (what should be luxurious) experience.

Amazing hotel, as expected. Stunning views of Osaka from the lobby, restaurant, bar, rooms! The room was very comfortable and spacious - there was plenty of space to unpack, relax and work if needed. Breakfast was amazing with an extensive selection, several items made in-house and excellent made to order tea and espresso. We went to the lobby bar one evening and the service and drinks were excellent. The hotel location is also great with a subway station right beneath the hotel, and within walking distance to Osaka station. We also enjoyed the spa, with whirlpool, steam room and cold plunge options!

Excellent hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it very much. The views from the lobby are great. Like many hotels in Japan you take one elevator to the lobby and then have to walk to another elevator to your room. Also, we had executive lounge access. TOO MANY KIDS. Even though they have kids leave at 7PM it is a zoo sometimes. It is not the kids fault, it is the parents that let them disturb everyone else. At minimum there should be an age level (12 and up). This is not exclusive to the Conrad Osaka lounges...it is happening all over. Overall though a beautiful hotel and good location.

My wife and I decided to stay at the Conrad Osaka during our honeymoon because she was recommended it by a co-worker, and it did not disappoint! The lobby on the 40th floor of the tower has breathtaking view of Osaka where you can catch the sunrise and sunset. If you’ve ever stayed at a Conrad before, you’ll also know their attention to detail and service is unmatched from a hotel staff. Every part of the trip felt high touch.
Speaking of high touch, at one point the property manager, Valentino Sebic, came up and greeted us. He’s a genuinely wonderful person who cares deeply about his team’s hard work and his guests’ experience at Conrad properties. To illustrate what I mean by Conrad properties, we let Valentino know we’d be headed to the Conrad Tokyo later in our trip, and he called ahead to let the Tokyo team know about our plans and to greet us warmly (which they did). Since it was our honeymoon, we also had a bottle of champagne on ice and cake waiting in our room in Tokyo. Truly wonderful to see Conrad teams working together to enhance experience across multiple properties.
Back to the Conrad Osaka…
When we arrived early in the AM from Kyoto, we were offered breakfast despite not being able to check-in to our room. Once we got to our room, we were floored by amount of space we had with floor to ceiling windowed views of Osaka and automatic curtains that drew up when we first walked in.
The gym was also great. My wife and I prioritize exercise when we travel and the clean environment had everything we needed to maintain our fitness. We don’t swim but there is a beautiful lap pool on the property as well - again with views. Every inch of this property has views!
With our AmEx access, we were given entry to the Executive Lounge for daily Tea (3P-6P) and Cocktail (6P-8P) hours. These were excellent opportunities to get out of the room and plan our next steps into the evening.
The food was great. We’re not breakfast people but became breakfast people after seeing the spread they put out daily at the Conrad. I believe there is live music nightly on the property as well.
The Conrad sits on top of Higobashi Station with ready access to anywhere you need to go in Osaka. We walk a lot as well and it was great for that too. Check out the Nakanoshima Museum of Art as well which is a 2 min walk from the hotel. It’s an excellent museum with a great collection of modern art.
In short, book your stay here! The view pays for itself and you won’t regret the way you feel every time you come on property and are greeted warmly by everyone.

Conrad Osaka was a wonderful place to stay for our honeymoon. The views from the lobby and our corner room where breathtaking. We felt the value of the expense in the hospitality of all employees we interacted with. The concierge was extremely attentive when, due to my error, our baseball tickets we tried to have shipped to the hotel were returned to sender. They tracked the package for us, realized the issue, and helped us book new tickets. Special recognition for Larry and Airi from the executive lounge for lovely conversation and great local recommendations.

The Conrad Osaka is an exceptional hotel. We checked in three days ago. The location is perfect. The check in was seamless and the wow factor of the lobby being on the 40th floor and overlooking the city cannot be explained and must be experienced. Our whole stay has been flawless. The room is comfortable, attractive and extremely well kept. The bathroom is perfect. The breakfast is sensational. The staff has been nothing but efficient and friendly. Valentino Sebic, the quality manager was helpful and gracious. This is not our first stay at a Conrad, and we have always been happy, but this is one of the finest hotel experiences we have had, bar none. When coming back to Osaka, I would not hesitate to stay at the Conrad again.

I had fairly high expectations for this stay, and the hotel generally met them. We booked the Twin Deluxe room (their standard room) but were upgraded to Twin Premium view room because we booked under the Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts program. I picked my own room on the 37th floor facing North based on the descriptions of the views, and I believe that was a mistake; I thing you get better views from the South facing rooms, but I’m only speculating based on the view from the lobby level. In any case, the views were pretty nice — some buildings, the river next to the hotel and mountains further away.
The room was large and well laid out. We very much appreciated the floor to ceiling windows with a chase lounge in front of it. The Twin beds are really equivalent to the US double size beds. I find this to be the case at all luxury hotels in Japan so far, and find it very confusing (why call them Twin?). It may be because, unlike the US, there is no single uniform size for Twin/Single beds in the Japan hotels. The beds in the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay were noticeably smaller, though still wider than the US Twin beds.
Anyway, the beds were somewhat too hard for our taste and getting mattress pads didn’t really help. This was the only real negative of this stay.
The room had a Nespresso Vertuo machine (I wish it was the Nespresso Original, but better than the alternatives) with plentiful capsules (6 regular in espresso and lingo sizes and 3 decaf). As always at nice Japanese hotels, nice fine bone china cups were provides, as well as different tea cups.
The bathroom had plentiful countertop space with twin vanities and a couple of small drawers. Dyson hair dryer is standard, which my wife loved (since she has the same one at home) and I didn’t.
The shower is spectacular with amazing water pressure from the rainfall shower head or the hand shower.
The closet had plenty of hanging space and drawers. One of the most wonderful features was a permanent luggage bench next to the closet that accommodated two carryons side by side.
Just like all other Japanese 4 and 5 star hotels we have stayed at in our two trips, the hotel was as quiet as a vault, unlike the typical US hotel where you constantly hear and feel doors slamming and people talking and yelling. Part of it is cultural, even my fellow Americans are keeping their voices down in the hallway. But it’s mostly about better design and soundproofing.
Because this hotel was built in 2017, it was more modern and notably nicer than the Conrad Tokyo we stayed immediately before this one. The food was also better, albeit extremely overpriced in my view considering how inexpensive good food is in Japan in general. We ate one dinner in the Tepanaki restaurant because we had $125 Amex credit to use.
Breakfast was free for us and was outstanding, with great selection of different types of food and drinks, and excellent quality. We also had access to the Executive lounge and there is decent food available in the evening. Great selection of local sparkling waters as well.
Overall, highly recommended, especially if you can use Amex FHR benefits. We booked 3 consecutive nights using 3 separate Platinum cards. You can add your Hilton Honors number to the Amex FHR reservations. Because I’m Hilton Gold and there was a double-points promotion, the net cost per night for us was an incredible $160 after factoring in $600 in Amex credits, the $125 credit for food (special deal, normally it’s $100), and the value of points.

Conrad Osaka was wonderful, spectacular, magnificent, customer-service focused, and a shame to have to depart.
The hotel is located on the upper floors of the Festival West office tower with immediate access to the Osaka Metro. Great location with amazing views from throughout the 40th floor lobby, bar, and restaurant.
The room was one of the best city-hotel rooms in which we’ve ever stayed. The room was large enough to move around our king-sized bed and still have a large desk/table area and a sofa. Fully automated lights, HVAC, curtains. A very large bathroom area, with sliding doors for privacy, giving way to a glass-enclosed rain shower (with the best water pressure of any hotel in which I’ve stayed) and a large soaking tub. A separate toilet area was down the room’s corridor with automated Toto bidet/washlet features (the only drawback being that the lid and seat did not automatically open/close). The room was modern, well maintained, and the nightly turndown service was a pleasure to which to return - especially to find our “duck toys” in new positions each night. A cute touch guaranteed to bring a smile.
The breakfast buffet was wide ranging with eggs, American-style meats, Asian entrees, soups and salads, fresh fruits, and the most wonderful pastries. The pistachio crossaint (with a hint of raspberry jam) and the freshly delivered, crème-filled donuts would be the highlight of anyone still enjoying sold foods.
But, the icing on the Conrad cake is their superlative customer service. Helmed by Quality Manager Valentino Sebic, who made sure to speak with everyone at breakfast to ensure the perfection of their stay, the staff at the Conrad went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. By way of example, when we had an early-morning tour and asked if there were fresh donuts, the waitress informed us that the donuts were not yet ready, but the restaurant manager promptly came to our table to advise that the pastry staff could come in earlier tomorrow should we have another early morning and wish for donuts.
If ever we were to return to Osaka, returning to the Conrad would be assured.

Let alone the quintessential location, the marvelous view of the Central Osaka and meticulously designed layout of a room, I’d like to comment that this hotel is the one and only that serves cutting an apple for guests at the breakfast buffet restaurant.
When I picked up an apple, a lady approached me, asking whether kitchen cut the apple for me. She also asked whether or not to leave the skin.
Also everyone at the Hotel should try the cocktail invented by Mr. Kitakawa at the Executive Lounge. Nothing can beat it when you feel thirsty.

The Conrad Osaka is a great place to relax after a busy Osaka day. The lounge has a club feel and had some nice bites and drinks.
The pool and jacuzzi are also a great place to unwind but the pool does get busy.
We had a corner room which had lots of space and panoramic city views including beautiful sunsets (see photo).
The breakfast was delicious especially the okonomiyaki.
The concierges were helpful especially Asako.
My only complaint is the hotel hallways are very dark which is similar to the Conrad Tokyo.
Overall, I would not hesitate to return to the Conrad Osaka.

Not worth it.
Having stayed in nearly all luxury hotels in Osaka, I find this hotel inferior even to premium hotels from other groups like Sheraton, InterContinental, or Marriott—it falls far short of the standard expected of a "luxury" hotel. Admittedly, the property has impressive facilities with excellent design, but the level of service, particularly towards loyalty members, is disappointingly stingy. Despite higher room categories being available, Hilton elite members receive no upgrades. My original reservation for a high-floor room was downgraded upon check-in to a lower floor, justified by the previous guest's late checkout, even though it was already close to 3 pm. Furthermore, my request for a late checkout (even until just 1 pm) was bluntly refused. Turndown service arrived three hours late—at 8 pm, by which time we were already preparing for bed. High-speed Wi-Fi requires an extra charge, and the complimentary member Wi-Fi was inadequate, unable to handle even YouTube videos in 4K. Members received only two small 500 ml glass bottles of drinking water. Even during a special anniversary stay, elite members received no upgrades, no late checkout privileges, and surprisingly, not even a welcome letter. The hotel's iconic spiral staircase was closed off due to a private event, with no prior notification. Additionally, on our arrival day, the lobby was chaotic, filled with non-guests attending an unknown event. At this price point, the experience is definitely not worth it—I’ve had far better stays elsewhere for merely one-third of the cost.

Fantastic! Not cheap but worth it. Great views, great room, great service, great breakfast. A must stay place in Osaka. Great teppanyaki. Clientele well heeled and the very few children there were absolutely delightful and well behaved.
10/10 best hotel view in the whole world! Valentino made our trip special, and the C Grill has the best hospitality in the city. If you are looking to make your trip special and memorable, make sure you come to stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed.
