First Time in Turks and Caicos - Club Med

Food is very good, although there is only one restaurant open at a time
Lots of activities, can partipate or not. We didn't do too much, just relaxed
Rooms are older but clean, comfortable, separate, private toilet was a nice touch. Can get Ocean view balcony which costs more but was worth it
Cons: if the main restaurant is closed your only choice is Sharkeys, afternoon menu is mostly fried food and service is slow
Tables in the main restaurant don't get cleaned for breakfast and lunch so the servers and clients have no idea if the table is available. Most of the time you need to clean it yourself, get your own cutlery and water. Need a better system

The beach was breath-taking with crystal clear water and soft powdery white sand! The rooms are definitely old but the bed was clean and comfortable (two twins pushed together into a king). The food was good and there was a nice variety, however desserts weren’t good at all (and I love dessert!). Erik was a knowledgeable, patient sailing instructor and we even got to see a dolphin during our lesson! The bar staff was friendly. Overall a great experience. Oh, and make sure to bring DEET if hanging out at the beach in the evening, as my husband and I had many (sand fly?) bites on our legs. Pool was large and clean. Always something to do with many activities offered!

We are regulars at the Club Med and enjoyed our stay. Sophie was the acting Chef de Village and was truly fantastic- so much energy and always took the time to chat.
The pickleball courts were great and so were the yoga/meditation lessons. We enjoyed sailing as well and the boats were in good condition. Food was great. Finally, I enjoyed a massage and had Lourdes. It was one of the best massages ever !
Two things that could be improved.
1. Staff at the main restaurant… especially the back terrace. Not enough staff meant that tables were left dirty for long and guests had to hunt for their own silverware and drinks. This was a daily issue. I felt bad for the staff as they were trying hard but just needed more help.
2. The mattresses… I could not get a comfortable night sleep. This could be just my room but the rooms are definitely dated. AC is noisy too. Rooms are clean and have everything you need.
Lastly if you depart on a Saturday the airport is chaos. Make sure to arrive 2.5 hrs early. Specifically the passport / security control. Not sure FastPass is worth it but the lines are long and people skipping all the time due to lack of staff or flights being called in.
The airport needs an overhaul. Just hasn’t kept up with the growth of tourism on the islands.

We had a wonderful time at Club Med Turks and Caicos. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
We participated in as many tennis lessons as we could and found the tennis coaches, Joel and Max, to be very knowledgeable , skilled, and helpful. They were always upbeat and welcoming to everyone. They tailored what they were doing to each participant’s skill level and were consistent in providing feedback and positive re-inforcement.
We also spent a lot of time at sailing where we learned a lot from the group (Raphael senior and Junior, Nathan, Eric, and Loic) . They gave us useful pointers to accommodate the variable conditions . When sailing was busy, they worked really hard getting boats in and out of the water and keeping the guests safe.
We would also like to acknowledge the new manager, Max, who was visible and approachable throughout the day. Max was always cheerful and asked how our stay was going every time he saw us. Max seemed very invested in ensuring we had a good time.
We would also like to give a shout out to the dive team, who were very supportive and adaptive to our experience level.
Lastly, we met Michelle and Simone who had such vibrant energy and enthusiasm. They brought infectious good vibes anywhere they were.
The food was stellar. We were worried about having only one restaurant , but variety was not an issue.

A special thanks to Raphael and the entire water sports team (Nathan, Eric, Loic, and young Raphael). They provided us with paddleboards, kayaks and sailboats every day and were always happy to provide advice.
Big thanks to the circus team who helped Julie on the trapeze. (Jacob, Mason, Emily, Jake, and Morgan) They always took the time to say hello as we passed by.
The enthusiasm and energy demonstrated exhibited by Sophie, Crisalina, and Max in the shows and afterwards is so much fun to watch.
The food was excellent, so a big thanks to Alex and his team.
We hope to be back soon.

The grounds are well kept here, and we appreciated the spacious feel of the incredible beach and facilities. If you arrive in the spirit of a summer camp experience, the rooms are fine, the food options always have something yummy and there’s lots of stuff to do. If you are enjoying the summer camp feel, you may want to skip the white night dancing, and the Ruby night where the college kid GOs you befriended in volleyball are paid to wear next to nothing, gyrate up on crates and have the 60 year olds you were just dining with taking pictures of their Backsides while they dance. It’s just awkward for anyone that has college kids or knows college kids, so skip that, and just go for the salsa lesson and the campy- humorous legends night that offers fun without the creepiness.
The Folks at the bar worked very hard to keep lines short and made wonderful mocktails as well as alcoholic specials. The transportation to the resort is not included and requires two days advance reservation. We just jumped on a taxi van with eight other people and got there for $50 from the airport.

I am gluten free and there were always options for me at every meal. No problem finding seats at the beach and rarely had trouble with seats at the pool. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!

This was my 4th time over the years visiting Turkoise and will be my last. I felt as though the quality of everything has declined. Rooms had mosquitoes all over them and were in need of a little facelift.
Front desk staff and most of the bartenders seemed annoyed and angry all day. The food was less than good (less the bread which is wonderful).
Unfortunately many water activities were closed the week we were there due to heavy seas.
The most trying part of the trip though that left us frustrated and tired is the PLS airport. It’s the worst (on a Saturday). A full 2 hour security line and then when you got into waiting lounge it was wall to wall people.
Ugh. Glad to go home.
We will look to other islands for next trip to Caribbean.

Second time to Club Med. Club Med works for the people who understand the model of what it offers and plan activities accordingly. We go for the beach, tennis and fitness. We are in our 60's and that is an average age there. Much improved this year were the freshly painted room, enhanced yoga classes (Edith and Karley)/palapa, and new outdoor furniture. We spend our time in classes or on the beach. The pool is loud and crowded. Sharkies can be loud and rowdy, not our scene so we just don't go there. No beach service for drinks is a plus for us as the beach remains quiet that way. We enjoy the trapeze show, but not the other shows.I would recommend having a white wine choice other than chardonnay available at dinner inside. I also agree with a previous review that the entire inside dining area/decks should be available on white night. I had to purchase a $45 bottle of wine in order to secure seating for 2, rather than eat at a table for 10. Shout out to the Wine Cellar to making that happen on short notice. There were women standing in a line to chase down tables on the one raised deck facing the pool 30 minutes before white night started. That seems juvenile to me. Please remember that not everyone is there to be social with the staff or other guests. Food choices are enough to please everyone, rooms are quiet. No hot water issues. In fact, no real issues in any way. I think we will be back next year.

We loved the club med Turkoise for many reasons:
1. Beautiful Location in grace bay
2. Perfect beach long/wide and enough chairs
3. Small resort so you get to know the GOs and the classes are not as full
4. Fitness classes with Michelle are PERFECT and just enough to work out and be very satisfied
5. Sailing team are pros
6. Excellent food at all times
The only thing that we would improve: the service at the buffet for water/table/wine at lunch and dinner. Most of the time we had to get our covers and water by ourselves.
Note for snorkeling: you have to take a boat to go to the coral barrier; it’s been windy all week and we got seasick and didn’t have fun for this reason which is out of control of the club med but to take into consideration if you want to go
Thank you to you all; we will be back 100% !!

The water color was incredible!! But the bottom of the ocean was pretty rough on the feet, so we spent very little time in it. If we were to go again, I would definitely bring some cheap water shoes.
Bugs were no where to be seen, which was great. In fact, we ate out on the deck of the dining hall for each meal and I normally hate to eat outside because of the bugs.
The rooms and the architecture of the property were certainly dated, as advised, but everything was very clean. They had daily maid service for the room and resupplied canned water in the room each day. The location of the room (on the 2nd floor in Water Cay) worked well for us.
The food was excellent with a very good variety for lunch and dinner. It was nice to have the option of going to get food at Sharkie's when the main dining hall wasn't open.
There are no servers to stop by to take drink orders by the pool (like they did when we stayed at Iberostar Grand Bavaro or Secrets The Vine), but if you were by the pool it was easy enough to walk to the main pool bar to get a drink. I do have to say the I felt the alcohol in the liquor was weak. I would ask for heavy tequila in my drink (and watched the bartender poor a good bit in there) and five drinks into the day didn't feel like I had a lot of alcohol. Might have been a good thing! There didn't seemed to be a lot of blenders for frozen drinks. Only two at the main pool bar, one at Sharkie's and zero at the small bar near the beach (JoJo's). They also struggled to keep up with clean cups. They would often given smaller cups as the larger ones were being cleaned and no where to be found.
It certainly has plenty of free things to do for active visitors. Sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking, tennis, pickle ball, ping pong, billiards, yoga, water aerobics, a nice fitness center, and a circus trapeze, to name a few. There were also a number of pay options. They had evening entertainment each night with a show in the theatre or a circus trapeze performance. They also had a small stage by the pool bar for a guitarist/singer each night.

Outstanding vacation at Turkoise. Our daily routine was fitness classes in the morning by Michelle who is fabulous. Sailing in the afternoon headed by Rafael, along with Nathan, Eric, Lois, William and Raphael. Club Med allows you to sail even in very strong wind conditions as long as you are competent. No other resorts do this. Then, pickleball in the late afternoon on excellent courts. The food was impeccable (but, don’t expect to lose weight no matter how active you are. Sigh.). Phenomenal beach and pool. A perfect vacation!!

Absolutely great week at Club Med, again. This is my 12th Club Med trip since 1979 (yes it ma old). It is my first trip to Turks but my three children have been here. I concur with all the review that rate the beach exceptionally beautiful. The ultra soft white sand and the clear blue water are nothing short of dreamy. You can walk the beach for miles. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well manicured. On this site there are complaints about the rooms. Our room was great, beautifully decorated, clean with a modern mattress and a great shower. House cleaning services was exceptional, we would return from breakfast and find our room immaculately clean and supplies (Sunny was our spectacular, friendly house cleaner). One must understand that Club Med provides great locations, outstanding cuisine, lots of activities, entertaining at a reasonable price. The first Club Meds provided tents as sleeping facilities. Who spends time in a room in Club Med anyway, we barely had time to sleep with all the activities and disco at night. A GREAT THANK YOU the Chef De Cuisine, Hector and his staff. The food was outstanding at all meals. We never had the same dishes at any meals. From Beef Wellington, Salmon Wellington, Eggs Benedict, Mussels (that were spectacular) we truly enjoyed every meal. There is nothing like Club Med bakery, a wide variety of freshly baked goods with every meal. The GO team was great, eager to please and very responsive. The shows were great specially from the trapeze team. The native staff is a lot more friendly than we are used to at other resorts, also very accommodating. All is all a beautiful experience that we will treasure for a long time, e are sad to be home and cannot waist to return.
Thanks to all the staff.

We had an incredible time. This is great for couples, family or friends! We went for our honeymoon and it was so much fun. We are not ones that like to sit at the pool and beach all day and drink. There were tons of activities that were included with our stay that we took advantage of every single day. The food is absolutely incredible and super fresh. The Staph is out of this world and the best customer service he will ever receive. The rooms aren’t anything crazy but in our opinion, you’re on vacation so what do you need a crazy room for? We love Club Med and we cannot wait to go back.

The resort itself was very nice and in comparison to the other options in Providenciales a tremendous value. But the strength of this resort is its people.
They were all friendly and helpful, but there were several people who deserve special recognition.
Mariana - she works at the front desk, but she was helpful with everything from our room to a suntan burn and she was so sweet, we wish we could take her everywhere we travel.
Rosalie & Magalie - our new best friends, not only were they great bartenders. But a blast to hang out with and very open and friendly.
Luis - the housekeeping manager who was the life of the party, but when we had an issue in the room, he got it fixed immediately. In fact, we told him about the issue when we saw him at dinner and by the time we got back to the room less than an hour later, it was already resolved.
Also, a big shout out to Fern and Alicia (front desk), Joshua and Ana (concierge), Alex (bartender) and Dorsi who was very friendly and seemed to be everywhere at once. Ana, thanks for the HDMI cable.
** Pro Tip: Always pack a HDMI cable, TV doesn't have a lot of choices. I know you don't go there to watch TV, but I like to wind down with the TV on. So I was able to watch Netflix & Amazon. Other US streaming services were blocked (Hulu, Disney).
In conclusion, the food was good, the beach is really amazing. It was my 2nd time there and my wife's 4th, but we met a guy who been there over 100 times. He loves it that much! A great place to go on a budget, it isn't Buckingham palace, but they will treat you like a King!

After being back a week now from our trip to Turkoise. Here’s the review and yes, this is a “TLDR” Alert
We had a blast and soaked up as much as we could. Zero complaints. With this being our 4th CM trip and resort that spans almost 40 years, and I can say…it was long overdue and just what we needed. We honeymooned at Buccaneers Creek in 1987 and had family trips to CM and returned to Turkoise as we have begun are journey into our 60’s. Really looking forward to returning to a CM next year, not sure where yet. So, here are our 5 points of review and I hope it helps future and returning travelers with the caveat that this is our opinion so feel free to ignore it.
1. CM may not be for everyone. We went with the expectation that the staff (GO’s, waitstaff, housekeeping, etc) would be there to assist and not wait on us at every waking moment. If you sit at a table and the room is busy and the water glass isn’t filled in 2 minutes, get up and pour it yourself and ask if you can get some for everyone else at the table. Accidentally get white wine instead of Rose, take a gulp, and pour in red wine, problem solved. It’s not that big of a deal. But it was to a few folks we had to endure listening to. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to be there and how could such a small insignificant inconvenience turn into a staff beratement session. So, consider what your expectations in advance and just smile and ignore the little things that don't matter. It’s just a glass of water.
2. To us CM is an experience that is NOT a typical American experience. Sit at the group tables, join the daily programs, enjoy the beaches, the breads (OMG fantastic) and try the Ceviche, Poke Bowls, try everything. Not sure, take a small portion. Enjoy everything that is not in your normal food selection. We thought the food was great, better than we expected and we had only positive comments and be sure to share the positives with staff.
3. Accommodations / Beach – Rooms were great….again, much better than I remember and we had zero issues. We could care less if a closet door hinge was broken, or there were missing tiles in the shower. That’s not why we were here. We were there to enjoy our time together at the beach, pool, dining and reconnecting with each other while eating desserts in comfy chairs near the theater. The beach was unbelievable and the best we have ever been to in the Caribbean…hands-down. Number one priority for us and not disappointed.
4. I think this one might grind the gears of a few folks so please feel free to disregard. When we travel, we believe that we are guest in our host countries, and we try to be good guests. Yes, we pay to be there…but that doesn’t mean we have the right to bring boom-boxes to the pool and blast CCR or, get hammered and be the loudest voices in the place. At every CM we have been to there has always been a vibe and we really enjoy it and embrace it as much as possible and we would encourage other to seek it out. Please keep your fellow travelers in mind and why they are there with you.
5. Last, no matter what happens on a vacation trip, and we have been on many that didn’t go as planned, we/you are the ones who choose how it will impact your experience. You have the choice to be happy and enjoy the moment or go into a tirade on the helpless towel lady because they are out of replacement beach towels. Happiness is a choice…smile, be nice, and do one thing to make someone’s day and you will have a fantastic time at Turkoise or any other CM.

The club needs some serious upgrading. The rooms are basically similar to a Motel 6 level. Our AC never worked for an entire week. We complained every day and was told it was fixed, but it wasn't. They finally resorted to giving a stand up fan to help cool down the room. The beach shade is inadequate for the number of guests. The rooms don't come with a hair dryer and when we requested one, they delivered it. Unfortunately it moaned and overheated so we had to get a new one. The room chairs screech every time you move them - they need chair leg pads to fix the issue. The bar is understaffed and the well booze is awful. I'd suggest they charge a tad more and supply decent well liquor.

The trip started off well as soon as we arrived at PLS when we were greeted outside by Irlanda who was holding a Club Med sign. She had a list of the names of guests checking in that day.
Check in went very smooth due to my silver status with Club Med they permitted us with no extra charge to start using the facilities at 1 PM. We had to wait till 230 for our room to be ready. The room was very clean modern on the third floor. Whoever has knee issues make sure you get something on the first floor as there are no elevators..
Food
There is a buffet, which has many different types of food to eat love the different soups that was prepared by the chef and rotated every several days carrot spinach, seafood, meatball vegetable soups were fantastic. I really enjoyed the lamb shrimp, red snapper, tilapia, salmon, dishes kudos to all the chefs they made the experience very pleasant . Great job by Brenda, who made the effort to find out if we were satisfied. On white night there was crab legs and shrimp. Sharkeys was really convenient burgers, shrimp, cocktails tuna wraps, grilled cheese sandwiches were a lot of fun to eat, especially during happy hour at 5 PM while listening to a musician performing.
Sports
Tennis Pickleball sailing snorkeling, water polo, aqua aerobics volleyball made it all fun for everyone. Kudos to Emrick, and Thomas, who assisted with everything. Kudos to Gabriella who gave us a great water aerobics workout.
Overall, a lot of fun for couples as there are no children permitted.

Unforgettable 30th Anniversary at Club Med – Fun, Friends, and Paradise!

Yes, the rooms are a bit dated and basic—but they were clean and comfortable, and honestly, we didn’t spend much time in them because there was so much to enjoy. This was our second Club Med trip (the first trip was to Punta Cana Club Med), and once again, it didn’t disappoint.
A huge shoutout to three incredible G.O.s—Rosalina, Magalie (Maggie), and Molly. These amazing young Canadian women made our stay truly unforgettable. They joined us for meals, went snorkeling with us, and brought such a fun, genuine energy to the experience. Keep an eye out for them—they're a big part of what made our trip so special.
We took full advantage of the included activities: snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, and even pickleball. We also tried the Fly TCI hydrofoil (electric surfboard), which we booked right on the beach beside the resort—it was thrilling and so much fun. Highly recommend giving it a try!
Grace Bay is hands-down the most beautiful beach we’ve ever seen. The powdery white sand stretches for miles, and the crystal-clear, warm turquoise water is simply stunning. Sunset walks along the beach were magical—don’t miss them!
We did venture out to the Fish Fry on Thursday night, but honestly, it wasn’t worth it—we were back at the resort within 30 minutes. There’s so much to do at Club Med that you really don’t need to leave.
The food was excellent, both at the main restaurant and Sharkies. The atmosphere is relaxed, friendly, and never pretentious—exactly what we were looking for. We met so many wonderful people and made lasting memories.
We’re already dreaming about going back. Highly recommend Club Med if you’re looking for a fun, welcoming, activity-filled beach vacation in paradise!
