Evening meals were superb - we couldn’t see past the seafood selections - I saw steaks and various other meals and they looked very appetising.
The bar was cool to relax at - a cool beer and / or a fresh coconut chopped to drink. ( then scoop out) was a favourite.
The bay was a joy to snorkel in- 100 metres or so from hotel had a private beach with loungers and shades free of charge.
The water itself was so warm - with live coloured coral and wonderful array of coloured fish - sea cucumbers etc - I even saw some tuna!
I would highly rate Bedarra beach and we will be back next year!!

Delightful small well run hotel on the coral coast of Fiji. From start to finish our stay was hassle free, from arranging transfers room airport to checkout and everything done with a smile on their faces. Rooms comfortable and spacious. The sea view room was compromised a bit by the air-conditioning unit being on the wall outside but otherwise a lovely room.
The staff were very good, friendly and helpful and despite often claiming .
‘fijian time’ were very efficient. Happy hour cocktails were ‘proper’ cocktails and the atmosphere was great with a mixture of guests and locals. The restaurant food was excellent and because of that we chose to eat there every night even though there are other recommendations near by.
The grassy area above the beach for sun-bathing has great shade and access to the snorkelling on the coral reef is immediate ….. and the fauna on the reef was amazing ( my wife felt it was better than the Great Barrier Reef!).
We altogether had a very relaxing and memorable time there.

You have several places to eat close by as well as the delicious restaurant onsite. Happy hour was my fave part of our day!! With delicious cocktails, AMAZING service and the soothing voices of the singers while you wind down from your day adventuring.
We jumped on the bus to go into Sigatoka, took transfers to our daily activities and the staff helped us out with anything we needed.

I hope you love Bedarra Inn as much as we did
The Bedarra Inn has the best staff. They are helpful, respectful and entertaining. The hotel is comfortable and has everything one could possibly want. Sunset drinks on the beach is a wonderful experience. We have recommended Bedarra endlessly.
This hotel is absolutely amazing. Big shoutout to Mariah for some incredible hospitality. The only negative of this hotel is the food, it definitely needs some improvement and we didn't really enjoy the meals. But overall we would come here again and again.
A relaxing start to our vacation

We chose this resort because of previous reviews and were not disappointed. We wanted somewhere to relax after 7 weeks travelling and we certainly did that. It is a little dated but rooms are very clean and comfortable. We ate breakfast and dinner every day and both were excellent value. Dinner was always beautifully presented and delicious. We used the free snorkel equipment and kayak on the small beach. Because of the coral and seaweed not a beach for swimming really but with a snorkel great. Spa treatments were excellent value, especially the Daily Specials.
What really makes this place special is the staff. Everyone does what they can to make you feel special and for you to enjoy your holiday. Everyone always gives a cheery "Bula" as you pass them with beautiful smiles.
It wasn't busy when we visited so plenty of sunbeds at the beach and pool and choice of table at breakfast and dinner. We would see most guests at Happy Hour!
Would thoroughly recommend if you want a reasonably priced, friendly hotel with no frills. We will remember for a very long time our first Fijian experience.

No, it’s not a chain resort and no, it’s not the fanciest place, but it was super clean, comfortable (bed was fantastic!) and I loved how small and personal the hotel felt. Staff knew our names immediately upon check-in, and were more than accommodating to our requests. The beach out front isn’t great, but I loved the private seating area with chairs and palapas for shade. If you’re looking for a smaller local hotel on the Coral Coast, this is it.

We arrived at Bedarra as an exhausted and very worried couple, after discovering on boarding our flight from Australia that my husband had lost his wallet, house and car keys. After a very warm welcome at Bedarra the fabulous staff swung into action and spent that evening and the next day helping us to communicate with authorities in Australia and eventually establishing that his belongings were with customs and safe. At this stage our appreciation and enjoyment of this delightful Inn began. It is the perfect escape for people who enjoy simple, refined, peaceful surroundings. At dinner time, we had classy music, fabulous guitarists, joined occasionally by very gifted singers. Lots of fun during happy hour when guests got together to talk about the days events and form new friendships over a glass or two. We chose to use Bedarra's taxi for airport transfers, best thing we could have done. David our driver was wonderful, a big shout out to him, to the wonderful admin staff who gave us so much help, the wait staff, the musicians, everyone. The location was perfect, Absolutely beautiful. Hope one day to return. Bev and Dave Walker Goulburn

The reviews were spot on. The Bedarra Inn was perfect for our much needed relaxing holiday.
We upgraded rooms when booking and weren't disappointed. Huge room with a nice, comfy king bed. TV, mini fridge, ceiling fan, 2 single couches and ensuite. Very clean and lovely touch of little flowers from the garden. It's a smaller hotel, so you aren't disturbed by noise or hundreds of other guests. Staff were all lovely and keen to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Onsite restaurant had breakfast, lunch, dinners and a bar. Menu was a little limited and roughly Australian prices, (which we were surprised by). Some nice gentle music was played by talented guitar players which was lovely.
Small pool in front of the restaurant was nice to cool down in. They have snorkelling gear and kayaks guests can use during the day in the beach area which is only 20 or so steps from the hotel. We loved the seating on the beach. Nice, private area for hotel guests to enjoy.
Getting there from the airport was a bit harder than I expected. I didn't research as much as I should have. There is a public bus that has loud music and open windows. That one takes the longest and is the cheapest. Then there is a air-conditioned public bus (which we jumped on after waiting 1 1/2 hours at the airport when we missing the first one that came by). It was packed and not that comfortable, cost us $16FJ for 2. It took us just under 2 hours to get to Sigatoka, then we got off, got water and basic supplies from the supermarket and caught a local taxi to the Bedarra Inn (10min and was $10FJD). Not wanting to do the bus on the way back, we organised with the taxi driver to drop us back to the airport for our trip home ($80FJD). He told us taxis going to the airport are cheaper as they can pick up fares at the airport which makes it more worth it. There were also private transport options, but all seemed really expensive so we didn't look at them.
Nearby: Nice and quiet neighbourhood. 5 min walk to Outrigger (go to the beach for an easier walk there). Was good to see a big hotel in action and be grateful we were staying in a smaller one. You can eat there if you book apparently (looked pretty expensive though). The also have a good gift shop (has clothes, jewellery, wooden products, gift trinkets eyc and a small tuck shop (Cadbury chocolate was $10.50 a block lol). Others recommended the Crab Shack nearby, but neither of us eat seafood so we didn't go there. A 10min walk to another restaurant (under the Ramada), but it was mainly Indian foods and we were a bit over Indian food (lots on hotel menu too). A small grocery store is located just down the road behind the Ramada. Very basic but they had water and snack food.
We didn't end up doing any tours this time, after a busy year we just chilled at the hotel and enjoyed "Fiji time".

What a first class hotel! We had a thoroughly enjoyable time( although the weather could have been kinder😉) The accommodation was great and staff were superb . The spa treatments were excellent and happy hour was a very joyous daily event. Dinner choices were excellent, with daily specials that kept you guessing. We opted for inclusive breakfast, which was also very good. Pool and beach were very good, with plenty of seating. The lagoon was fascinating ( watching the waves break on the reef) . Footwear essential if going coral hunting though.

Had a lovely stay, room was good size with bathroom &separate toilet located just off the bar restaurant area, easy access to these & outdoor pool etc. Loved happy hour from 5 to 6pm each evening with half price drink selection. Staff awesome, friendly & helpful. Easy access to beach across the road with lounge chairs & shade so you can chill. Other bars & restaurants near by, but dining & drinking was fab at the Bedarra. We went to a wedding at the Outrigger a few mins walk up the road which is a lot more expensive to stay so we made a great choice staying here...not overcrowded with kids & people. Overall a lovely stay & very reasonable cost wise.

Great facilities, and we stayed at multiple rooms during our trip to Viti Levu.
Most of the rooms are "roomy", with the amenities you require.
I can not think of any downsides, except for the rooms close to the bar which could be slightly noisy on busier evenings. However, if you like the hustle and bustle, that's definitely tolerable background noise, and ends at about 9pm.
Location is perfect, right on the beach. You'll love walking from your room, straight onto the sand.
