America has its fair share of quirky couples, with no shortage of weird, wacky, and offbeat wedding venues to accommodate them. Some of these are straight-up, classic Americana. Others are just straight-up weird. Others seem weird at first, but are actually the places where these couples met, which makes them sorta adorably romantic. Either way, these are the absolute funkiest and most fun ones that we could find!
For couples that love animals, the zoo might be the perfect place to wed. Let your wedding go wild with a zoological celebration where the animals can be a part of your big day. You might get some completely unique wedding photos!
At a Furry Convention
Dolly Parton sure can write one heckuva love song, and Dollywood is as fun as amusement parks get. But did you know you could incorporate Dollywood, a perfect slice of Americana, into your relationship by having your wedding there? Dolly is a real southern belle and (in our opinion) romance expert, making her Dollywood creation the perfect place to say "I do" in unforgettable southern style.
In Zero Gravity
This couple took their love to all-new heights for a zero gravity wedding where they and a few select guests floated in mid-air for an out-of-this-world celebration of love. It's expensive (like, really, really expensive), but no one can deny you'd have the most unique wedding of anyone you've ever met!
Seriously, is there anything that Costco doesn't sell?! Apparently you can get your wedding ring here, and then tie the knot right where you bought the ring. This couple met in the frozen food aisle, so hey, the shared love of Costco is what originally brought them together. That said, you don't have to meet there in order to wed there. Just make sure you bring your membership card to get in, and don't get distracted from your vows by the free samples!
In Taco Bell
The reception, of course, was catered entirely by Taco Bell, including Baja Blasts to drink. I'm not sure what a Baja Blast is, but it's a flourescent shade of blue I'm pretty sure doesn't exist in nature. Either way, hopefully all the guests are hungry and will like the Nacho Cheese Doritos® Locos Tacos Supremes (whatever those are).
At the Dollar Store
Move over, Costco! The dollar store does weddings as well! One one hand I want to tease this couple, but on the other, I want to shake their hands and learn from their frugality. The dollar store offers insane discounts, so why not marry at one? We doubt they'd only charge a buck for this, but it's still gotta be one of the most cost-effective weddings around.
On a Bungee Jump
This bridal bungee is one wild way to wed. A number of bungee jump operators invite couples to "take the plunge" for a post-nuptial jump just moments after saying "I do." No better way to make sure your married life together gets off to an exciting start! Okay, so I couldn't find a bungee jump wedding provider in the US, but I can almost guarantee you could find a US-based operator to accommodate your insane idea.
In a Treehouse
Now this is one I would do in a heartbeat. Marrying in an enormous luxury treehouse puts Mother Nature into stunning perspective, giving you incredible backdrops for every moment of your wedding. It's super romantic, super unique, and can be done at places like Treehouse Point in Washington state. What's better, you can start your treehouse honeymoon as soon as the wedding is over.
At Burning Man
Burning Man is one of the most outrageous events in the world. For one week every year, a seven square mile section of the Nevada desert becomes a glowing, thumping, 24-hour psychedelic city of art, music, and giving known as "The Playa." It's more than a wild event, it's a temporary community built by attendees for just a few days a year that culminates in the sacrificial burning of sculptures and other structures. With nothing else in the world quite like it, for Burning Man devotee couples (also known as "Burners), it only makes sense to say "I do" at a mind-blowing event they look forward to every year.
