Best Natural Hot Springs in the USA

Hot springs are an invigorating way to relax and romance. Soak up the mineral-rich waters, naturally heated by magma below the earth's surface. When you get there, just be sure to test the waters first. Since they are heated by magma, some can get hotter than any conventional hot tub.

Many of these springs have adults-only hours and are clothing optional. That means that while you won't have to worry about children running around, you should be ready for the potential to catch a glimpse of some nude bathers. Then again, maybe you want to disrobe and go truly "natural" in these natural springs yourselves! It's entirely up to you.

Whether you keep your bathing suit on or not, these are the most invigorating, beautiful, and romantic hot springs in the USA.

The Boiling River, Yellowstone National Park

For something called the Boiling River, it should be assumed that the water here gets really hot. But the truth is, this Yellowstone attraction is a cold-water river fed by a mega-hot mineral spring. With both mixed together, the temperature is a perfect level of heat for an invigorating soak and swim. The river is closed during spring due to the water level being too high, but is open all other seasons. For an extra special experience, go during the winter and soak in the steaming hot waters while you're surrounded by a winter wonderland of ice and snow!
