For the heartwarming wedding story of the day, look no further than this joyful grandma. She lit up the celebration at her granddaughter's wedding in her role as flower girl, with the charming now-viral photos of her merrily throwing rose petals into the air.
Taken by Thomas Felts Photography, the images have drawn digital cheers and tears from all around the web. So where'd bride Brenna Kleman get the idea to make her grandmother the flower girl? It was actually an idea she got from someone at her job as a nurse, where a sick patient told her they had been the flower girl at their grandchild's wedding. Brenna thought it was a fantastic idea: Per CafeMom:
"“[Grandma] was very emotional,” Kleman recalled. “She was almost in tears because she wanted to make sure she did OK on my special day. My sisters were there to tell her how amazing she did.”
Opting to stay (semi) anonymous and go simply by "Grandma," neither she nor Brenna thought the photos would go viral. But despite being anything but traditional to make Grandma the flower girl, the wedding photo moment was too magical for the world not to notice. As for Brenna, she and Grandma have always been close...and ws inspired by Grandma's loving 63-year marriage to her grandpa.
So what does Grandma have to say about becoming a viral sensation? Per GMA, Brenna said:
"Grandma says people really need a positive story, so she's happy that she can be a part of it!"
It was truly a beautiful sight to see...and from all the attention it's getting, we think grandma flower girls might end up being one of the next big wedding trends for 2020!
