Cool or Crazy?

This is either the craziest thing ever, the coolest thing ever, or a little of both.

The Florida Beach Wedding With Nearly Three Dozen Bridesmaids

While most brides have just a handful of five to ten bridesmaids, made up of their closest friends, this bride went a different route. In fact, she named no fewer than 34 bridesmaids for her Florida beach wedding. The best part? She says if she had more time to plan, she would have had 50 instead of a paltry 34. The bride is singer and influencer Casme Carter, and she had her Florida beach wedding in Destin, Florida, where 34 bridesmaids joined her for the ceremony.

Many of the bridesmaids were women Casme made through women's empowerment seminars, and through school and work -- as an entertainer, she lived in numerous cities and made great friends in each. She could include them all, so why not? More power to her! The wedding went without a hitch (almost--more on this later), but the question on everyone's minds is, how does even the most amazing maid of honor manage 34 bridesmaids? The answer? Clarity, simplicity, and flexibility!

Managing 34 Bridesmaids: How did she do it?

Managing 34 bridesmaids isn't easy, but for this bride, it was well worth it. Rushed by an Army deployment with only three months to plan, including 34 bridesmaids seemed like an impossible task. But one of the keys was flexibility. An itinerary was set, and the bridesmaids had guidelines for their dresses. But by not making every bridesmaid wear an identical dress, it took a lot of stress off -- not only for Casme, but for the bridesmaids as well.

It's hard enough getting friends of all shapes and sizes into the same dress, so this is a way to take that pressure off and make sure everyone looks and feels their best. In addition, Casme planned it herself instead of burdening a maid of honor with accommodating dozens of bridesmaids, many of whom she never would have met. Casme knew Destin was the perfect beach wedding spot for her, as she had been a singer at over 50 weddings there for other brides...now she just had to pull of the perfect wedding.

And pull it off she did! The only bad part of the celebration was when, during a wedding morning swimming session, a rough wave knocked the wedding ring right off of Casme's finger. Her bridesmaids and other friends jumped in the water to look for the ring, but to no avail. Of course, there are more important things in life than the ring...like having all your best friends and family there to support you. Better yet, her new hubby snagged an emergency ring in an instant, proving yet again that he was the perfect man for Casme to wed.

Now that's a recipe for happily-ever-after!
