The royal wedding is finally over as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set off on their new married lives together. If you didn't get a chance to watch live, below is a recap with some video to help you get up to date on all the highlights.
Royal Wedding 2018 Aisle Walk
Since Meghan's dad had to cancel his plans to attend the wedding at the last minute, Meghan made royal wedding history by beginning her walk down the aisle by herself. A way's down the aisle the beauitufl bride was joined by 96-year old Prince Phillip, just weeks after a major hip surgery.
Serena Williams' Insta Feed
Social media went wild over the wedding...but when tennis superstar Serena Williams posted a video to Insta talking about getting up early to get ready for one of her best friends' weddings (without metioning Meghan), it wasn't long before people realized it was the royal wedding she was talking about attending!
But that wasn't the only thing Serena was serving to her Instagram fans. After changing into her evening gown for the reception, she was snapped wearing sneakers -- after all, dancing the night away in heels is a great way to get a whole lot of blisters!
The Royal Wedding 2018 Dress
One of the most popular subjects of royal wedding speculation was what Meghan's dress would look like -- and who would design it. As expected, Meghan's dress of choice was a sartorial stunner, with a boat-neck dress to harken to tradition, while boasting an elegant veil with an impressive 16-foot train. Traditional and conservative yet bold at the same time, just as we predicted.
Her headpiece was hand-embroidered with native flowers from each of the 53 countries of the Britsh Commonwealth. And she looked beautiful in a diamond tiara once worn by Queen Mary. As for the designer, the fashion genius behind Meghan's dress was Claire Waight Keller, the first-ever female artistic director at Givenchy Paris, one of the biggest names in fashion.
The Royal Kiss
The world stood on the edges of their seats when those magic words were uttered: You may kiss the bride. The kiss was tasteful but loving; a picture-perfect peck for social media feeds and news cameras broadcasting the royal wedding to viewers all around the world.
The Royal Wedding Flowers
Here's some heartwarming royal wedding trivia you probably didn't get on your live streams: after the big day, all the flower bouquets from the royal wedding were donated to an east London hospice named for St. Joseph. We're glad that instead of being tossed in the trash, the royal flowers were used to warm the hearts of the residents there. And when a prince gets married, trust us...there are lots of flowers.
The First Drive
To get to the wedding, and to leave once they had been declared husband and wife, Harry and Meghan climbed into a classic Jaguar retrofitted to be converted into an electric car. It's just another one of the ways they paid homage to the classical while maintaining a modern, progressive twist. Oh, and the license plate? The numbers were -- 190518, representing May 19th, 2018 -- their wedding date!
