Our Favorite Celebrity Halloween Costumes Ever

When it comes to celebrating Halloween, celebrities have the money to go all-out with their costumes. Some in particular have a reputation for taking their costumes to an extreme, with Hollywood movie-level prosthetics leading to complete transformations. Here are some of our favorite celebrity Halloween costumes from through the years!

Happy Halloween from Morticia and Gomez Addams

A post shared by Sophie Turner (@sophiet) on

At a celeb-studded Halloween party last year, now-married Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner showed up as Gomez and Morticia Addams -- and everyone was in love. The couple's gothic costume was a perfect fit for the duo, and made for a wonderfully gothic evening!

Katy Perry as Hillary Clinton

Katy Perry Halloween Costume

2016 was a great year for celebrity Halloween costumes. For proof, look no further than Katy Perry's dramatic transformation into Hillary Clinton, a look she achieved with drastic prosthetics worthy of a big-budget movie. Katy is probably used to being in the makeup chair for hours, so it's no wonder she had the patience to get ready in this fully-blown Hillary Clinton caricature outift, complete with realistic facial prosthetics and signature red power pantsuit.

Rita Ora as Post Malone

Post Malone Halloween CostumePost Malone's iconic look is ripe for costume enthusiasts...and singer Rita Ora pulled it  off perfectly! From the denim vest to the face tattoos and frizzy hair, Rita's 2018 transformation into the rapper and record producer is enough to cause anyone to do a double take.

Heidi Klum as an Old Lady

Heidi Klum Halloween Costume

Holy. Fricken. Moly. Heidi Klum won Halloween in 2013 with a costume that was impressive even for Heidi, who sets an insanely high bar. Her dramatic transformation into an elderly woman drew stares of wonder, as her prosthetics and makeup left no detail unimagined--from vericose veins and sun-damaged arms to the insanely realistic wrinkles, frizzy gray hair, and yellowing teeth, Heidi was unrecognizable as this elderly woman at her annual Halloween party in New York City.

Heidi Klum & Tom Kaulitz as Fiona & Shrek

Heidi Klum Shrek Costume

Heidi Klum goes so all-out for Halloween, we could devote an entire article solely to her incredible costume skills. Of course, it helps to have a huge team of Hollywood makeup and prosthetics experts to build a new character around your body with silicone and other materials, but hey--it's a lot of work for Heidi, too! 2018 saw her doing a couples' costume as Fiona and Shrek, complete with a totally convincing facial makeover and prosthetic, ogre-sized legs, arms, bust, and booty. The transformation took hours to achieve, but hey--you only get one Halloween per year, so go big or go home!

Neil Patrick Harris & His Family as Star Wars Characters

Neil Patrick Harris Costume

The Doogie Howser and How I Met Your Mother star is known for some killer family costumes, and 2015 was no exception. He and his hubby say they're going to start scaling back their Halloween costumes, but in 2015 we were treated to an adorable Star Wars-themed costume with him, hubby David Burtka, and their kids Harper and Gideon. This one makes us feel like the Force is most definitely with this charming celebrity family.

Seth Rogen as Rabbi Pikachu

Seth Rogen Pikachu CostumeOkay, this one is just hilarious. Celebrating his Jewish heritage, funnyman Seth Rogen became Rabbi Pikachu--or "PikaJew" for Halloween 2016. On anyone else, especially someone who isn't Jewish, this costume might be totally offensive. But with Seth, we know it's coming from a place of love and celebrating, while making fun of, the comedic actor's Jewish origins. WE think it's wonderful, adorable, and clever as heck!

Demi Lovato as Marie Antoinette

Let them eat cake! 2019 is a revolutionary year, and Demi Lovato channeled that vibe with her spot-on Marie Antoinette costume. And, as shown by the people tagged in her posts, these Halloween costumes and the celebrity's viral posts behind them are an amazing marketing tool for Hollywood makeup artists, fashion designers, and hair stylists!
