After becoming divorced from ex wife Anna Faris, Chris Pratt is engaged again. He and Katherine Schwarzenegger, daughter of former California governor and action movie legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, have announced they'll be married in a religious ceremony soon.
So what does Anna Faris, Chris' ex, think of the engagement? She's all smiles, posting a congratulatory message for the couple on Chris' Instagram.
Saying they bonded over their shared faith, Chris and Katherine have always been unapologetic about their Christianity. This makes them unique in Hollywood, where you don't hear much about actors focusing their lives on faith to God. Whether you're christian, muslim, atheist, or something else entirely, it's hard not to be a little excited for two branches of action movie royalty to marry into one.
In fact, Katherine isn't just action movie royalty, but political royalty as well. Her mom, Maria Shriver, is JFK's neice. Chris comes from more humble beginnings, earning his stripes on TV shows before his breakout role in Parks and Recreation. From there, he landed dramatic parts along with lead roles in big-budget action movies, and the rest was history. But even with all his success, he has kept his faith close.
So just what kind of Christian is Chris? He doesn't follow one particular sect, choosing instead to stay non-denominational. That gives a little hint as to what kind of ceremony there will be, but we expect to hear much more about it as the wedding day nears!
