This is one of those hotels that has large groups of people on tour buses come in. So if you are on one of those tours, I would say that this hotel is great. But if you are not: There is only one restaurant that does not do course menu, and this restaurant gets booked by the tour buses, so your only options to eat at the hotel are to pay 8000 yen for dinner unless you want to just eat pizza at the Italian restaurant. The Orion bar does not have real food, just some snacks to go with your beer. Normally this wouldn't matter except the hotel is in sort of an isolated area, so your other options for dinner/lunch are pretty limited especially if you do not have a car. Luckily there is a Family mart nearby for necessities. We walked about 20 minutes and found a small chain restaurant and ate there.
Our room appeared to look nice, however, the floor was covered in sand, and the sofa smelled bad. Luckily they had clean slippers and we just ended up sitting on our clean beds for our trip. Bathroom/shower were clean.
Breakfast was very nice and there were a lot of options. It does get super crowded so make sure to go on the earlier side. An hour after opening, there was a line that went way out the door.
The pool was clean. Please note that the infinity pool is limited only to guests staying in the club wing, but that was fine since the pool downstairs was nice enough. We did not visit the beachfront area, but it looked nice from our hotel room.

BUT like others have said here, they dont give you air-con at all. If you ask them, they'l say its for being environment friendly etc, but they have the aircon at full blast in the gigantic lobby and all the resturants, not so environment friendly then eh.
Other than that, everything else was perfect. Pool is great, i know lots of people says there are too many children, crowded, noisy etc, guess i was lucky, the children at the pool behaved quite well when I was at the pool. Dont expect any pool service, drinks etc tho, they only have like one staff watching the pool, hes the lifeguard too. Very close to the beach, just 2 mins walking distance outside the back gate.
Room was bigger than expected, balcony have great unobstructed view of beach and ocean, only bad thing is no aircon in room, we sleep almost naked, without blankets and left balcony doors opened to be able to sleep.
Great restaurants, must try the japanese restaurant and BBQ restaurant, make sure to BOOK your tables well in advance like 2 weeks before you get there, as they are full every night. Loved the breakfast, altho its mainly japanese food, so those who expect western food may only have cereals, fruits and bread haha. May be quite crowded and noisy during breakfast but at least you dont have to wait for a table, they have plenty, even have outdoor seating if you like.
They let you take umbrellas for free at the lobby entrance if it rains, nice touch. Really close to aquarium, and also a lawsons store 5 mins walk.

There are so many positive points to the credit of this hotel. Our room was quite spacious (we occupied Junior Suite) with great views over Ie Island and over hotel well groomed beaches. Check-in turned out to be well-organised from the first moment we approached their entrance. Food selection at breakfast was very diverse and tasty with many healthy options. They maintain high standards of cleanliness. We enjoyed using their mineral water spa. And we would like to thank Lounge staff for their impeccable service! Looking forward to return.

A very enjoyable stay experience at this hotel. Very modern and clean hotel which is supported by very good restaurants. Breakfast spread quite good. Teppanyaki dinner at Ginga was excellent - a strong display of showmanship by the chef, that’s sealed with umami taste throughout the course. Worth every calorie!...

The location is beautiful, along the beach close to the ocean expo park. Check in is effective and staff is very polite. We had a standard room, which proved to be quite big with a sofa arrangement by the window and a balcony facing the ocean and le island enabling us to watch beautiful sunsets. Bathroom was also quite large, with separate toilet (the first time we had that in Japan). It seemed to be a perfect place for a romantic couple of days. Then we reached the pool area mostly filled with toddlers in bathing rings and their parents. No adult pool was available unless you want to pay extra for using the infinity pool, which only free for guest staying in suites. We experienced the same kindergarten atmosphere at Dinner and breakfast. For those looking for a romantic experience this is not the place. Otherwise, it is a very good hotel with a large choice of very good restaurants.

Gorgeous hotel and resort! It takes less than 2 hours from Kokusai dori in Naha via the Expressway to arrive, but it is dependent on traffic through Nago once the Expressway ends. The parking lot is a little strange; there are very few spaces in the adjacent lot 2 that get taken very quickly, so if you drive anywhere during the day, you will most likely be parking at the satellite lot 4 across the street. Fortunately, it isn't much farther, even in the pouring rain.
Entering the hotel lobby, we were immediately reminded of a luxury resort in Hawaii (e.g. the Orchid at Mauna Lani). The orchids all over the place were a nice touch, and the lobby is cavernous and spotless. The ocean view of Emerald Beach and Ie Island across the way is through an entire glass wall and really, this first impression is that of being on vacation in a luxury resort hotel.
We upgraded to a corner Deluxe Ocean Twin, so it had an expansive view of the beach and a wraparound balcony so we could see the northern part of the island and neighboring Bise. The bathroom was beautiful, with a central sitting area in front of the mirror and the toilet and huge shower room on either side. The sliding wooden doors of the restroom area were great! We had buffet breakfasts every morning, which I highly recommend splurging on so you don't have to walk or drive for breakfast. There were a mixture of Okinawan dishes, Japanese dishes, and Western dishes, and we could run down by 9:00 am to avoid a lot of the crowds that get up early to start the day (it closes about 10 but we could stay to linger in an empty restaurant until about 10:30). For dinner, we ate at the Capella BBQ restaurant, which is like a Korean grill-your-own-food place, and at Kari, the Okinawan izakaya restaurant. (If you are a late eater, Kari is the only place in the hotel where you can get food past 9, but it is great and reasonable. It is open until 11.) We went to Regulus bar every night, as long as there were no smokers in there, and watched the master bartender do her thing. Note: Japanese bartenders put on a show when they make your drinks and are worth watching, it is like performance art.
We did purchase one day at the onsen on the 5th floor, and it was well worth the money. It allows access the day of purchase all the way until 10 am the next morning. There is an explcit warning that visible tattoos are not allowed, so be mindful of this.
Churaumi Aquarium is about a 10 minute walk from in front of the hotel, and we walked further to the Tropical Dream Park to see flowers/plants/trees/fruits in about another 15 minutes. Emerald Beach takes 5 minutes to get to from the front of the hotel and looks nice, but we never went due to inclement weather while we were there. The dolphin show in the stadium across from Churaumi is free and very popular, and Churaumi itself has discounted tickets for after 4 pm when it is less crowded. If you stay at this hotel, this ticket is perfect for the average traveler.
There is a wonderful local restaurant called Papaiya a 5 minute drive down the street from the hotel, past Lawson's, and we would definitely go back. This again reminded us of a local place to eat in Hawaii, but it was a bit nicer than many of the local plate lunch restaurants in Hawaii. The food was excellent and all the Okinawan staples, along with tempura and Japanese hamburger steaks, were there.
I can't recommend this hotel enough, and we can't wait to return on our next vacation! We will go back many times in the future!

The Hotel Orion Resort is a great place to stay when visiting the famous churaumi aquarium in Motobu. The rooms are very large and have a great shower and separate soaking tub to enjoy. All rooms face the ocean and have an excellent view of the beach and offshore island. The aquarium is a 10 minute walk from the back of the hotel. The buffet breakfast offers a wide selection of tasty western, chinese, and Okinawan dishes. The restaurant also offers buffet lunches and dinners for you to enjoy. There are other higher priced restaurants in the hotel that are available but you do need reservations since they are popular.
