We loved our 1 week stay at the Zest!
Our room, on third floor, was large, very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and the breakfast area, the lounge area and the terrace were all pleasant places to relax. We loved the afternoon treats which we really appreciated after a day of touring.
All the staff are exceptional! No matter who you spoke to, they were always smiling and ready to help with anything.
The location is excellent. As everyone know, Cape Town is not a very safe place to walk but you can safely walk from the Zest to the V & A waterfront in 10-15 minutes. There is a great variety of good restaurants in easy walking distance from the hotel.
If we every return to Cape Town this is the only place I would stay! Thank you Zest Boutique!

We have just spent a 2 night post cruise stay at this wonderful boutique hotel. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. They are a credit to the hotel. Our room was modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Fantastic choice at breakfast and coffee and cake available in the afternoon. Good location and the hotel offers a shuttle service to the waterfront at a small cost. There is a small swimming pool and garden area as well as a roof top garden to relax . We would definitely choose this hotel when we return to beautiful Cape Town. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Just spent two nights at this lovely hotel. The reviews are spot on. All the staff (and the owners) are so nice, friendly, helpful, happy etc etc etc. Our room overlooked the garden and pool area. Breakfast and lunch were both excellent and lunch was reasonably priced. They serve cake everyday at 3pm which was a lovely touch. Mercy checked us all in on arrival and Marley saw us out. Ismail drove us to the V&A Waterfront in the hotel’s vehicle and picked us up promptly, always with a big smile. Loved our room key fob which is a map of Africa! Can’t rate this hotel highly enough….

Lovely breakfast!
We particular enjoyed the coffee bar and snacks they offered. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge area and chatting over a coffee. Was peaceful.
We loved our bedroom, and a room with a bath is always the best for me.
Also a place with a very interesting welcome drink is always so special!

Bedroom had been decorated with flower petals as it was our 25th wedding anniversary trip 😍
Didn’t try the pool as it was a little fresh, but breakfast was cooked to order & very tasty.
Bed was super comfortable, enormous bathroom with a good shower and separate loo (room 10).
All in all, great place perfect to walk to the V&A Waterfront!

My wife and I stayed at the zest boutique hotel for three nights, September 18 -21 And I cannot say enough good things about this property. It started with our airport pick up arrange to the hotel by Peter who was on time and very pleasant. Peter was also available to drive us into the waterfront area on multiple occasions and again back to the airport. He was wonderful. Our welcome tour of the hotel was amazing by Haseen, and the service we experienced during our stay was impeccable. Natalie even arranged for an impromptu. And the service we experienced during our stay was impeccable. Natalie even arranged for an impromptu wedding anniversary treat for us, which was amazing. The staff was so welcoming and attentive. Breakfast was wonderful. We did a massage at the sister hotel - Tree House and that was very nice as well, and that property looked wonderful too. We even had a chance to talk briefly to the owners of the property, and he was very sincere, gracious and super nice. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. Again, it’s the people in the service that set this hotel apart, we stayed at many places and this certainly ranks as one of the best places we’ve stayed at. We loved it and can’t wait to come back. location is also great, walking distance to the waterfront, but we used The arranged car service that the hotel used at a cost, which was reasonable. Faye at reception was also great.

We were warned about the construction next door but it didn't bother us at all. We were able to easily walk from the hotel to the waterfront. I highly recommend staying here.

I have various top statuses with major hotel groups but we decided to go smaller scale and try one or two of Cape Town’s plethora of boutique hotels.
We are so glad we chose Zest. We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful stay.
They offer a great breakfast, starting with a continental spread (fresh fruits, yogurt, croissants and pastries, cheese and hams, cereal etc) plus a cooked to order selection like omelettes, full English, or mushrooms on toast. All served with tea or specialty coffee.
In fact you can grab a free tea or coffee at any time in the day. Even better, they serve cake at 3pm. We loved the daily selection including Lemon, Passion fruit and on our last day, carrot cake.
The hotel is within easy walk of the V&A waterfront. We could do it in 15-18 mins, but in UK pricing terms Bolt and Uber are super cheap.
We walked and ate locally every night with the many great restaurants nearby including Yen’s Vietnamese, Iron Steak and Bar and the many Sushi / Japanese places.
There are some comments about building works next door. This looks like it is coming to a finish soon. But it never bothered us at all even when using the sun terrace on the roof.
We also visited their sister hotel about 5 minutes walk away, I think it’s called Treehouse. My wife and I enjoyed a great massage there. For what it’s worth the hotel set up seems to be exactly the same as Zest.
Saving the best thing to last…. the staff. Everyone we encountered was so friendly, attentive and professional. A credit to the owner Lorraine who is frequently visiting the hotel.
Trying to remember them all… Tatenda, Phozisa, Ntombi, Princess, Yaseen, Mali, Curtley and Chef Nicolette. And special thanks to Natalé.
We have now left to spend the weekend in wine country but have decided to rebook for our last two nights when we return back to Cape Town. Purely because of the staff, the service and the hotel’s atmosphere.

From the moment we arrived, Manager Natalie and Guest Relations person Faye warmly welcomed us, ensuring we felt at home. Natalie guided us through the hotel, showing us to our room, where we enjoyed a delicious welcome drink. The attention to detail and hospitality of the staff, from reception to housekeeping and the restaurant, made our stay truly memorable. We particularly enjoyed exploring the pool area, where my husband received surprise birthday cupcakes and a bottle of wine. While we declined the wine, the cupcakes and the daily complimentary cake, a delightful passionfruit treat, added a sweet touch to our experience. Faye’s kindness by the pool ensured we captured memorable moments, and Manager Yassien made sure our departure was smooth. We are grateful for the exceptional service provided by Natalie, Yassien, and the entire team at Zest Boutique Hotel.

Downside is the construction next door , and I think it would only be fair to inform guests before a booking is made. Using pool is not really an option, because of construction. Rooms on building side could be noisy, and I would request room on opposite side.
