During the last nine days of February 2025, we traveled to Turks and Caicos and stayed at the Windsong on the Reef resort. We paid for an ocean facing room on the third floor with an open balcony overlooking the expansive and beautiful Grace Bay. Our balcony wrapped around and created an 'L' shaped space with sliding doors all around, revealing an absolutely fantastic view of aqua blue water for miles on either side including a nearby underwater reef. Our stay was totally enjoyed with friendly staff and wonderful island food. After having been to the island one other time in the past, staying at the Ocean Club resort located almost two miles away, I would highly recommend Windsong on the Reef as an upgrade. Be sure to rent or bring your snorkeling gear for easy entry into the warm, clear water from a white sandy beach for an exciting vacation to remember! Ed Hearn --- Wilmington, North Carolina

Look no further if you want the best hospitality on the island, beautiful ocean front rooms (they often provide free upgrades) and gorgeous boutique/family owned hotel surroundings. They have plenty of outdoor day beds (that other hotels may have an extra charge for) -see photos and an okay breakfast that is included with a gorgeous view to eat it in. The food at Jojo’s is just okay, but best ceasar salad I have EVER had. Plenty of other restaurants to explore in the area. We walked the beach to some fancier hotels and hands-down knew we selected the best one! Beauty! Charm! Bar-none hospitality! Enjoy your trip to Windsong on the Reef!

We had a fabulous week at Windsong Resort! The people are welcoming and the location is awesome. We had a junior beachfront suite and could not get enough of the views, especially the sunset. The beach is incredible and you can walk for miles along Grace Bay. I would definitely recommend a car as the resort is on the quieter (for the moment) part of Grace Bay and it makes it easier to go out for dinner. Overall, we highly recommend Windsong as an excellent value for the price.

Windsong absolutely exceeded our expectations. We have traveled the Carribean all over and with Turks and Caicos being as beautiful as it is, Windsong made our experience that much better. Courteous staff, great beach, beach and pool chairs alway available, clean, rooms and location perfect. If you want the price, crowds and name of a Ritz Carlton, go knock yourself out. If you want value, less crowds, great continental breakfast and other food at Jo Jo's then Windsong is your place. We stayed in a bungalow off the beach and loved the gardens, privacy and pool. Room size was great separate bed and kitchen with living area. Convenient with short cab ride to restaurants and shopping. Gary and the staff at Windsong were the nicest people we have met. You will not be disappointed with this resort. We will be back next year!!!!!

A fantastic place staffed by wonderful people. I highly recommend. Key reasons why to I love Windsong. Great snorkeling within 10 feet of hotel on the reef (hence the name). Super private and quite with five star rooms and staff.
The downsides? I love this place.. but everyone has something to work on. My top 3 areas for improvement are
1) it is a little crowded at the beach and you must wake up at 7am to snag a chair and umbrella.
2) the restaurant is lacking in space and selection of food.. so think about walking 15 min either way to get lunch. If you eat breakfast at the hotel there are 2 locations, one by the pool and the other up on the berm overlooking the ocean. This later one is much much better. Try to get go there first.
3) Drink service on the beach takes forever. Think about 40 min between when you get thirsty, put up a flag and then get your drink.
Things to know
1) If you haven't been to Turks and Caicos before its best to decide what you want to do. For me spending time in the water, snorkeling or on a hobie cat is key. If you just want a massive beach with fast flowing drinks go next door to Beaches. This place is massive. With many self contained restaurants
2) Make dinner reservations a week early. My top 3 are Coco's Bistro and Mr. Grouper and BLT steak in the Ritz. Turks is VERY expensive. Budget $200-$250 for dinner w/ 2-3 drinks.
3) Tips are included in most bills from 10-12%. Waiters frequently ask for payment before you review the bill. Make sure you look first.
4) Big tourist shopping area is right around the Ritz. Lots of high end shops and restaurants.
5) Super warm in the summer, wonderful in the winter.
6) Get a fav cab driver and keep his number. Much faster that way. It costs about $16 per trip from Grace Bay to go anywhere
7) No Uber .. and taxis from the airport are big Vans filled with 8 people. You'll pay $26 for 2.
8) Pack some snack from home. A bag of chips at the hotel is $10.

Excellent resort experience
Terrific resort experience. The facility is not too big but has all the amenities. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The beach has plenty of seating and is right on the water. There is a small reef just offshore though most of it is blocked off to protect it....

There is a small reef just offshore though most of it is blocked off to protect it. You can still see plenty of fish around the edges of the reef.

Overall nice property. The shower was supposed to be luxurious but in reality, it was a terrible experience. It was a large open bathtub with a showerhead from the ceiling. The entire bathroom floor got soaked with every shower. The view was lovely from our room though.

Somewhere cafe is conveniently located next to hotel. The hotel is slightly expensive but worth it.

We want to thank Marksun our waiter during our dinner at the seaside table. The Lobster Tacos were incredible ! as were the scallops. Marksun does a great job at the morning coffee cafe in the morning. Service with a smile.
Thanks also to Gary our suite butler and to Daeshka at the front desk.
Windsong is one of the best boutique hotels I've ever stayed at.
The natural beauty of this island is beyond description.
Thanks for a great stay !
We'll be back
