The property is full of charm with a bohemian meets mid century modern decor. The staff was friendly and attentive. We attended their monthly "Paella Nights", which was a wonderful experience on its own, and an extension of the culinary talents from the Del Rey (onsite restaurant). The bed was uber-comfortable and the room was well appointed with amenities (Nespresso for the win). To our surprise, we enjoyed a complimentary coffee and breakfast seevice at a welcoming al fresco patio area (and while they called it "continental" it was far beyond with high quality items like bagels & lox!). We'll definitely be back.

Had a wonderful long weekend celebrating our anniversary. It was a much needed retreat after not having a child-less getaway in years! This hotel checked all our boxes. We had an adorable suite right by the pool and Del Rey. There was always ample seating at the pool, good music, definitely not a party hotel (at least when we were there), quiet, respectful guests and a warm pool! The continental breakfast was good, they have warm milk & cookies every night as well. Del Rey is also delicious and all the drinks and food we had poolside were great. The staff was always attentive when we needed them. Highly recommend this hotel and we will absolutely be back when we can!

Amazing quaint hotel with rich character! Pleasant staff and warm vibe with guests! Definitely a place to come stay again! Perfect couples getaway! Amenities and resort grounds were well taken care of and the continental breakfast was perfect!

Absolutely fabulous experience! Beautiful property that’s managed very well. They thought of every detail and were responsive and welcoming. We would definitely come again, and would highly recommend it to anyone in Palm Springs. Hands down 10 outta 10!

Villa Royale is a jewel. An amazing place to stay. My partner and I spent two nights in the Continental Suite last month. The experience went so well that we are booked to return in May! There is just enough parking for hotel guests. Barely. The check-in was smooth and we were welcomed with a refreshing alcoholic drink. The Continental Suite is amazing. You have your own garden and spa. There are plenty of places to sit, with two loungers, a couple of chairs next to the spa, a comfy sofa, and two hanging "egg-shaped" chairs near the suite door. The garden is wonderful and private. We saw hummingbirds on both mornings in "our" garden. The hedges around the garden provide privacy but are low enough to still offer a nice view of the mountains. Super cool. The spa was definitely the highlight of the garden. The water was cool and the jets did not work until after 4pm or so. Then the spa "woke up" and the water got hot and the jets were back working. I'm guessing that's how it operates daily? The suite was comfortable. The large leather sofa and leather ottoman/chair were extremely comfortable. Great for a nap:) The Smart TV was easy to use. The living room also had an old-school-looking Bluetooth speaker. Easy to connect with and use. It also had a coffee table and interesting (racy) picture books. The expensive Taschen type. The room had over a dozen books in different areas of the suite. Plenty to read if you forget your reading material at home. The bar room was ok. A bit dimly lit. It was nice to have a wash sink and a fridge to use. The bedroom had a wonderful window for sunlight in the morning. The Smart TV in the bedroom worked well. The bed was just right. Not saggy at all. The bathroom was the only con to the suite. It has a super small water closet. I don't recommend the suite to big people because of the small size of the restroom. The sink was minimal. The shower was big. It worked. I was NOT impressed by the restroom. I expected better. Continental Breakfast was served every morning. I appreciate that management provides two different flavors of juice to go along with Champagne. Free mimosas or coffee in the mornings. Thanks for that. The food was fine with muffins, bagels, and fruit. A nice way to start the day. The main pool had plenty of lounge chairs and spots to lay down and take a comfy nap. Management also provided plenty of towels and sunscreen for free. Nice touch because we forgot our sunscreen at home. SHOUT OUT to whoever curated the music playlist at the pool. Old-school Mexican Trios music. Very chill vibe that made me want to take a nap. So relaxing and romantic. We did not order food from the restaurant on site, but the food smelled terrific. We walked the grounds at night and the public spaces and pools looked nice at night. I can go on and on with nice things to say about the room, experience, and the customer service. The employees were nice and super helpful. I recommend this hotel. You can't go wrong if you stay here.

The service was excellent, the atmosphere was very relaxing, and the rooms were clean and well appointed. They bent over backwards to help us celebrate a special occasion. Food and drinks were great too. We had a great couples getaway here and would gladly come back!

First time booking the historic Villa Royale and pleasantly surprised with the experience. More of a retreat than a hotel experience. Handsome cottages, well maintained, quiet, private. Amazing, kind, friendly and thoughtful staff. Fantastic on premise dining at DelRay with local amenities, shops and restaurants just a quick ride away.
