Needed some time out to chill in peace and nature and we got it here. Nice resort feel accommodation with good rooms and great facilities. Our room had a nice veranda with garden view so we could sit and bird watch or just admire the lush looking gardens. Very clean and well maintained inside with everything we needed. There are 2 swimming pools and the beach from our room was just a couple of minutes on foot. You can book various water sports or activities should you wish to and they have bicycles to use and also tennis courts on site, so there a few thing to do as well as relaxing. The restaurant is the highlight of the resort but the only one. Parking was easy and the staff all very nice.

We had the most amazing time at Villa Montana! The beach was gorgeous and restaurant had amazing food and really great drinks. We only saw the main pool which was very nice and right off the bar at the restaurant. Everyone we interacted with was super kind and helpful, so props to the amazing staff. We ended up staying in one of the villas which was really nice, very clean and larger than we expected. We rented a car to drive to the resort from the airport in San Juan and it was an easy drive (depending on time of day / week might be some traffic but it was a beautiful drive and took about two hours). Plenty of parking throughout the resort.

A week in paradise at Villa Montana! Nice warm welcome on check-in and the accommodation was clean on arrival and spacious and had everything we needed to make simple meals and snacks when we didn't feel like going to their onsite restaurant "Eclipse", which also meant we saved a little with our spending money. The staff were always very polite and friendly. The beach is beautiful and perfect for walks, relaxing or watching the sunset. Snorkelling gear is available at the resort and they also have bikes to use. We had noisy neighbours next to us the first 2 nights and noticed the soundproofing wasn't that great but once they left peace was restored! Overall we loved the ambiance and the nature (spotted many iguanas) of this place. Very comfortable stay and a terrific experience all round.

We were looking for somewhere nice and quiet place for a few nights and booked Villa Montana not knowing much about the resort, and we were not disappointed with any part of our stay. Room was very large, and bed was comfortable. The place is quiet and very laid back. The beach was outstanding and the location of the hotel a winner. We liked the experience and the calmness there. Recommended perfectly for honeymooners and beach goers.
BTW, food was delicious at their restaurant.

Ticked all the boxes. Fantastic location with beach on the doorstep and good rooms. Particularly liked the gardens and spotting unusual birds in the trees around the property. Swimming pools are spotless and service was great. There are bikes available to use and really enjoyed jogging the trail paths through the forest. Nice way to start the mornings before lounging on the beach. There's a golf course nearby and horseback riding which you need to pre-book. Maybe next time. The restaurant was very good too.

Peaceful and picturesque pretty much sum it up. Great staff and a great atmosphere too. Quick check in and we were definitely made to feel welcome from the get go. The room was great for a couple. A perfect balance of comfort and style. Nice and clean but most importantly very calm and quiet which meant we slept incredibly well every night. Food very good quality but maybe another choice of a more casual/snack kind of eatery would have been nice. The beach is beautiful and there are plenty of water based activities. I believe this place is popular for weddings which I totally get as it's got a special feel to it.

Beautiful beach setting with excellent customer service and staff but Villa Montana is a bit dated condo project, not a regular full service resort. When we checked in our room was dated, small, smelled of smoke and the toilet wasn't working. After one call to staff the manager immediately apologized and moved us to a much nicer room which made our trip a very good instead of a poor. The resort is an older condo project that is showing some age, wear and tear with many owner occupants. The main pool was closed during our trip for repairs. The beachfront restaurant is really good and beautiful with a rustic open air feel. The beach is awesome offering Long Beach walks right in front. Very few rooms have ocean views. We will not likely be coming back but if you go pay for the larger room and ask to be as close to the water as possible.

A nice change to the usual big chain hotels but glad to say it had high standards and great staff. We were welcomed warmly and settled into our room quickly and down on the beach before the sun set. Picturesque spot. Loved the whole vibe of the place and the staff are well trained and looked after us well. The wait staff and bar staff are friendly and great at giving suggestions. Plenty of parking space and it felt safe and quite exclusive. For us, it was a great option away from the city to relax rather than shop/party.

I’m not sure I would refer to this property as a “resort.” The vibe is more time-share than resort, just without the sales pitch. The pictures on the website do NOT reflect the actual room interiors— they are either very old re-touched pics or maybe AI enhanced. And there are just some not resort-like things. For instance, while the grounds are well maintained, there are not great marked paths to the beach, pool, etc.— so you end up basically walking through year-round residents backyards. So they are having a private party (New Year’s Eve in our case) and there we are, traipsing through in our bathing suits lugging our beach stuff. Or they are washing their cars. Or their young children are zooming around on their hover boards. Worn and/or dirty loungers and just a handful. Just not a resort vibe, if you know what I mean.
Also, our room was kind of dirty-not gross, but in need of some deep clean attention in the corners, closet, etc. When you walked in there was already sand on the floor and the patio needed to be power washed with some urgency. The shower leaked/sprayed water and it ended up running through the room— and we could tell that it had happened before and had been minimally cleaned from the water stains. More like a room at an early 2000s La Quinta than a resort.
Also important to note— lots of pets. Barking dogs, loose dogs and their poop. And horses. And the horse’s poop.
BUT- the location can’t be beat. Especially if you have a car to explore the nearby establishments and other beaches. The resort beach is beautiful and you can easily walk to other beaches but it’s haul. (Bring water!)

I’d echo recent mixed reviews of Villa Montana. There were things about our stay and the facility that we loved (Eclipse restaurant, beach, pools), and there were details that were lacking (cleaning and maintenance, communication). We booked a King hotel room and it was just ok. There are some noticeable maintenance items that need attention - loose room door knob, tub drains slow, little to no hot water, sand on the tile floors when we checked in. I think the resort wants to be considered 4 star, but it needs some TLC. For example, all of the light fixtures in the common areas of our building were filled with dead bugs - yuck.
On the other hand, we were on property when the new years island power outage occurred, and the maintenance staff went above and beyond to keep our generator going for hours until power returned.
The beach is quiet and lovely. The grounds are immaculate and the Eclipse restaurant is beautiful and the food excellent. Their new year’s dinner was fabulous. This resort is suffering from an identity problem - with year round residents and hotel guests on the same property, it just doesn’t feel like a resort. It felt strange to walk through the yards of families celebrating the holidays at their homes in order to access the beach.
Update the website with more recent and accurate photos and let guests know what to expect when staying on property. Manage expectations. Villa Montana has potential.

A week that we'll never forget! The pictures do not do it justice and the whole place has a very special atmosphere. Definitely felt at home from the minute we arrived. I was a bit concerned pre-trip that it was going to be a little boring for a whole week and that I'd miss the noise and amenities of a city or a big resort, but I could not have been more wrong! On the last day I was almost crying having to pack! Loved the staff and their attention to detail in cleaning, in service and in their professionalism. Loved the location! Wow those sunsets on the beach! Also loved the restaurant. Food is 10/10. There is horseback riding nearby and cycles to use onsite if you like that. Also a golf course close to the hotel.
But for me it was all about relaxing in beautiful surroundings and it was the peaceful paradise I didn't realise I needed till I got here!

Excellent place to vacation. Ticked all the boxes for us. We had a small apartment style room with it's own kitchenette which was useful for us. Nice sized fridge and enough equipment to make breakfast and snacks. The restaurant on site was very nice but we like to eat light so having another option was fantastic. The facilities are very good and kept very clean. 2 pools, tennis courts and the complimentary use of bicycles and also snorkelling equipment. If you like running you'll love the trail runs from the property. We ran every morning and tried various routes, all picturesque and some more challenging than others. The staff will point you in the right direction. Also saw people horse riding along the beach which unfortunately we didn't try, but maybe next time. Parking is free at the hotel and the whole place felt safe.

I had planned my second honeymoon to celebrate ten years of marriage. I wanted somewhere special and this beach resort looked amazing.
Arriving at the beach house, was crazy, it was so romantic, long white billowing drapes and a perfectly dressed room. The sheets and towels were spotless and fluffy and everything smelled lovely.
The main restaurant serves high class food in the most beautiful setting and the sunsets were incredible.
You are looked after like old friends and the staff are always available and think of everything.
Our stay was all I’d hoped for and more.
Refreshing to live and breath nature again.
What a find.

Al long last, we managed to get away to this incredible beach resort.
On first impressions, we were thrilled with the location, so many palm trees and a huge beach with blue sea and sky as far as you could see.
Helped with the suitcases to our villa, it had a private patio and inside was a living room, small sofa, kitchen area and the bedroom, a real beach house, absolutely gorgeous !
We were treated to some amazing food, fresh local fish and clever mixes, we’d never tasted before, incredible.
Believe it or not there is a lot to do here, but the beach and the sea was as far as we got, taking full advantage of the amazing service there.
A beautiful place, with some wonderful people.
This holiday will be hard to beat.

I stayed 4 nights here and enjoyed every moment. The location is really superb and the bungalows are beautifully decorated with all the things you might need to make your stay comfortable. The beds were good and the bed linen and towels high quality. The cleaning staff did a great job as well. It's set by the beach which is gorgeous. There are water activities available but I basically chilled out and sunbathed. The restaurant on-site is good but a little pricey when you eat there every day....my only small comment, but I guess people also prepare food themselves sometimes or venture outside. I was very happy to just stay put at the hotel and enjoy my vacation!

So gorgeous I don’t know where to start ! The garden villa we stayed in was so cleverly put together, it not only looked stunning, it had mirrors in the right places and lots of added extras. I managed to get the perfect temperature for sleeping on the A/C, i usually either freeze us or the noise keeps me awake, but all good.
The staff are superb, remembering names and always checking if we needed more drinks. Every meal was a treat, the quality of the food along with the views made it amazing.
The beach had a backdrop of palm trees and we found ourselves pretty much alone early or later on in the day,
I was hoping for a special holiday but this was better in every way. Feeling lucky to have spent time there, hope to go back one day.

Clean, spacious accommodation with everything anyone would need whilst on vacation. Liked the veranda with easy chairs to chill on in the evening after dinner. The grounds are kept well by the gardeners and the trees and plants and flowers look real good. We loved the hotel and the design of everything. There's a restaurant with ocean views which is picturesque but on the pricey side. The food is great though. We bought water and soft drinks and stocked the fridge in the villa which was useful and kept extra costs down.
The beach is peaceful and pretty private and we felt that there was the opportunity to cut off from the regular day to day stress of life whilst we were here, which we appreciated and needed!

We loved it here. They made us feel very welcome from check in until check out. Friendly staff who were happy to help with our questions and they were always lovely with our young daughter. We found the apartment very clean and it had great space for us all and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was useful having a 3 year old in tow, and although we mainly ate at the restaurant within the complex we made breakfast in the apartment which was convenient for us. Nice pools which were usually quiet and the beach is picturesque. There are various activities to do either at the hotel or around the area but apart from one day when my husband played golf nearby, we just took it easy. Food was great, parking easy and the location is truly amazing.
