The Deluxe King Third Floor room was just perfect. The ocean view from the private balcony was awesome and was so close that we could hear the waves all night long, even with the balcony door closed. How soothing!
The staff were all super nice. Dinner and breakfast at the hotel were both excellent. The front desk provided an umbrella and chairs and beach towels plus there were two beach chairs in the room and two beach towels. A/C worked very well. Maid service was great. Shower was excellent.
It was great to have a gym to use (even though some of equipment is a bit older).
The only negatives were the bathroom was lacking in counter space and the shower was modern/open concept but kind of made for a wet bathroom floor.
Would definitely stay again.

Amazing views for a great price! The pictures just don’t do it justice. We had a cute and spacious room and the restaurant/bar, which is right on the beach, was great too. The place was clean and the staff was very accommodating. We’ll be back!
Casual beachside hotel with a fun beach bar!

Very well run hotel right next to the ocean. The grounds are well kept. Walking access to restaurants and bakeries and groceries and bars etc. Also an easy 20 min walk to downtown shops and restaurants (all via a sidewalk…no walking in the road).
Had a standard room, which was modern in design. The room and bathroom were very clean. Everything is tiled (no nasty carpeting), which I greatly appreciate at any hotel, but especially important at a beachside hotel. My one suggestion is to replace the mattress and pillows. They felt a bit lumpy and have seen their day.
The bar is outstanding. It’s large and inviting. Good quality food is served.
The pool area has plenty of loungers & chairs. There is easy beach access with showers and food sprayers for your return. There’s also a large lawn area with loungers. A nice quiet spot to lay out and look at the ocean.
If you require a golf course and tennis courts and suit jackets for dinner this is not your place. If you want a kicked back beach vibe where you can jump from pool to ocean and then sit in your swimwear at the open air bar you have just found your Rincon hotel.

This is our second stay at the Villa Cofresi and once again give it the highest recommendation but with some caveats. Always get an ocean front room (a bit pricier but a must do to the layout of the hotel). If you heed this advise you will not be disappointed with the views and tranquillity the wing where these rooms are located will give you. 2) take advantage of the folding beach chairs in your closet. These are perfect for sitting at the water’s edge right behind the hotel. 3) have one of their signature cocktails (the Pirate)…2 of those and you are flying low. Don’t be frustrated with parking (ie- if they are full in their main lot). There is plenty of parking in the lot right up the street and it’s safe and free (so chill). Walk to the town plaza…don’t be silly and move your car for a leisurely 1 mile walk (doable even in good flip flops)

Need to be aware there is no Uber to get from Mayaguez airport to Villa Cofresi (20 mins ride). There is taxi service, but it may be a problem during weekends. There is an Enterprise at the airport, so rent a car.

From the moment we arrived the security personal was great always with a smile and humble. The front desk agent Natalia was amazing she made sure we understand everything and during the stay she was always with a smile greeting us and making sure we were doing fine. At the bar first day we met Yaritza and she made us one of the best sweet coco pirata and we were talking about her labor and wish her blessings for her baby during the nigth we met Jose Bonilla he made sure we got our food right and made us great cocktails. The second day we slept all morning and we had breakfast but later on we met Alexis Lorenzo OH BOY!!! LET ME TELL YOU!!! Great guy made me felt like I was talking to a long time known person or even made me feel like we were family from the recomendations from dishes in the hotel to the cocktails. We had a loooong talk about rums, rum old fashions and negronis and other great spirits me and my wife enjoyed that talk so much that we came back to have dinner with him, we are definetly coming back to spend some bar quality time with Alex. In our saddest day (cuz we had to leave) we met Papo who helped us to move our luggage from our room to the car and he said hope to see you soon with us again😭 have a safe trip back home making us feel like an uncle watching for us. Villa cofresi has a great staff and great fascilities hope to be back soon.

We happened to walk past the Cofresi Hotel while walking the beach early in the morning. We noticed guests having breakfast at the oceanfront restaurant so we stopped and asked if they accommodated non hotel guests in the restaurant and they welcomed us in. We had the most beautiful and delicious breakfast! My husband had the breakfast burrito and I had the banana walnut French toast. We liked the atmosphere so much that we plan to book a stay the next time we are in Puerto Rico 🩷🇵🇷

We stayed for here for 4 nights on our round the island Puerto Rico trip. I had booked a deluxe king room with balcony and the room was absolutely fantastic. It was spacious and the balcony faced the sea. In the evening we would sit and watch the pelicans fishing just off the beach as the sun set in front of us. At night we fell asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach.
The hotel itself is lovely with open spaces housing the bar and restaurant which means you can eat and drink whilst enjoying the breeze and the sound of the waves. We had a problem with our hire car whilst there and the hotel staff were really helpful and let my husband use their phone to call locally as we had UK mobiles.
Given what we paid to stay in other hotels on our trip we thought our room was fantastic value. Rincon was also a great location with lots of restaurants. If you can book a room with balcony at Villa Cofresi you won’t regret it.

Very Nice Hotel. We stayed in 309 and you can’t get any closer to the water without getting wet. The room has a balcony overlooking the ocean, million dollar view. Nice updated room ,felt big, small fridge no Microwave FYI. The staff was very attentive and courteous, don’t be afraid to ask questions about the area. Location 10+ close to everything. The Ana de Cofresí restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, I prefer the outdoor. Food was good and the drinks were strong. Overall I will stay again and recommend the hotel 100%. I only wish there was a place/area for dancing. Rincon is a town I wanted to visit for a long time and it did’t disappoint. Looking forward to a return trip.

This place is fine if want to stay in one location or if you have a rental car, you really can’t go wrong with the location. Luckily, there is a mini market 1 block away, and multiple bars and restaurants within walking distance. The views from the property are amazing. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Unfortunately, the employees range from unbelievably lazy/apathetic to downright rude, the beach is super tiny, and the showers are luke warm - no hot water. The food in the restaurant is just gross. The chicken was just full of fat and the Mahi was so overcooked that it was unrecognizable. Rincon is beautiful; this was our first time staying in this area, and we will definitely be back, but not to this hotel.
