Great value in March and not too busy. Just right for a nice getaway. Affordable and with just enough amenities. Tidewater is a classic older hotel that has retained charm while staying up to date. The restaurant was very good and we were pleased to find some vegetarian options (Cauliflower Steak was great). The town of Easton is just right for a weekend trip and I think there will be several more trips to the region in our future.

This is an iconic hotel in downtown Easton, walking distance to great restaurants and music hall. The atmosphere takes you to a bygone era, while the bar is very much today! Location, location, location with ample parking! Rooms are clean and comfy!

Room pleasing with several windows/ light. Clean. Housekeeper Victoria very cheerful and sweet. Bed comfortable. Lobby and public areas inviting. Check-in easy, staff pleasant and personable. Grounds inviting and well kept. In town setting so there is some noise from street traffic. Excellent in house dining. Visited midweek.

We stayed 3 nights. The 1st room we had was a king room, it was unreasonably noisy and buzzing from the furnace/heater units, and the bathroom doors were frosted glass barn doors, with absolutely no bathroom privacy whatsoever. The sides were not sealed. If you didn't know each other then,...

The 1st room we had was a king room, it was unreasonably noisy and buzzing from the furnace/heater units, and the bathroom doors were frosted glass barn doors, with absolutely no bathroom privacy whatsoever. The sides were not sealed. If you didn't know each other then, you will know after staying in a Tide Water Inn room. There was no privacy. We immediately went to the front desk. I have to say the front staff is phenomenal, they upgraded us to a suite as the hotel was almost empty. Most business comes from the restaurant. The suite was not impressive, the bathroom still had the swinging barn glass frosted door. The bed was nice. We were charged $20.00 for each snack, Don't touch them. The water is not complimentary. Hunter's Tavern the hostess women were extremely rude and nasty, there were 3 of them, One of her names started with an S, very young, I heard her say she'd been there for 2 years, and she wore a ponytail. I was too upset to remember her name when I asked, but asking her made her very nervous and she tried to downplay her behavior. I was disappointed, this was our 3rd year staying, and after the hideous upgrades that killed the old Easton charm came ridiculous charges. Never coming back.

Tidewater House was incredible! We were invited to a wedding in October, but when my husband called in July to make a reservation for a room there was nothing available in the main hotel. However the Tidewater House was open. We had never done a B&B experience and weren't sure what to expect. Even before we arrived we were treated with great service. Monica called to confirm our arrival time to ensure she was able to greet us. Once we arrived, we were greeted by Monica who showed us the in's and out's of the Tidewater House, gave us the how-to's of getting in and offered some lovely options for things to do. We booked the French Suite, and it was PERFECT! The room was stunning and luxurious, we were given champagne to enjoy while we settled in and get ready for the wedding. Just down the street we were able to enjoy a stunning wedding, wonderful food, and picture perfect backdrop. Monica truly set us up for a wonderful stay and we will certainly be back to enjoy the french room. Having stayed at the main hotel before we knew it was wonderful but after this stay, we have been raving about the experience we just had.

There was no venting in the bathroom so all the humidity from the shower stayed in the room. The window in the room would only open a couple of inches. We went down for breakfast around 8:30 and there was no one there to greet us or serve us. When the staff finally arrived, they all looked so unhappy and never cracked a smile. On the plus side, Hunters Tavern is a nice venue with a good menu. For the money, there are much better hotels in the vicinity.
