WARNING: AVOID THE SILO HOTEL – THEFT & COVER-UP! This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel. During our honeymoon, my wife’s Rolex— which had more sentimental value than anything— was STOLEN from our room. The hotel did absolutely NOTHING to help us. Instead, they ran a fake "investigation," claimed they checked security footage, and stalled me until I left the country. I exchanged multiple emails with them, and they kept stringing me along, promising to "fix things." But in reality, all they did was delay me from filing a police report, telling me to wait until their so-called investigation was complete. It was all a tactic to make sure I ran out of time. The truth is simple: valuables are NOT SAFE here, and management will do whatever it takes to avoid accountability. A beautiful hotel means nothing if your belongings can disappear, and the staff covers it up. BEWARE BEFORE STAYING HERE – YOU’VE BEEN WARNED!

We were between tours to Victoria Falls so we decided to upgrade a stay in Cape Town and go to The Silo Hotel. WOW!!! The room was a deluxe suite and amazing!! Outlets galore, heated floors, 2 zone air/heat, balcony amazing views and service. Roof top bar & pool, great restaurant and bar down below. Simply elegant yet very relaxed and I just can say enough about the service!!

Absolute perfection - from start to finish. Everything from the architectural marvel of the lantern windows, to the impeccable decor, to the warm and welcoming staff at every turn. We loved our stay so much and hope to return one day. One of our favorite hotels in the world.

We spent 3 nights here before embarking on safaris in South Africa and Botswana. Our first time in Cape Town and we were blown away by how beautiful and fun this city is. Our base was the Silo Hotel and it is a small, boutique hotel with a few rooms on 4 floors, which we loved. Every room has a floor to ceiling view of the harbor and Table Top Mountain...truly spectacular. The rooms were comfy and very luxurious, with decent space and a huge bathroom with heated everything. More snacks and treats than you could even eat, for free, in the mini bar. We actually ate in the restaurant several times (breakfast and dinner) and the food was excellent. There is a small gym, but it is totally adequate. There is a spa but we didn't have time to indulge...but if it is up to the rest of the hotel experience I am sure you cannot go wrong. Every member of the staff was friendly, energetic and on their game. Not a single thing to complain about. The hotel is pricey, and some friends said there are lower priced, nice options in Cape Town. I am not certain what they are but when we return we will for sure stay at the Silo Hotel again. Location is amazing and proximity to the harbor really make it a special spot. Pricey but worth it!!!

a dream of a hotel. We had a suite that was designed in every detail and had a fantastic view of the harbor. very good breakfast and courteous service. every employee is very attentive. Just few minutes walk to many restaurants and bars. Safe neighborhood, easy to walk around.

Went to the rooftop bar for sunset drinks and picked one of the windiest nights to go. Despite this the cocktails were excellent as was the service and hospitality. As there were no hotel guests in their private area we taken up to the top to have photos taken with magnificent views across Cape Town. Even managed to see most of the sunset.

The service was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience, with super views as the sun set. You will need to book as it is very popular - our hotel concierge helped us with this.

I have spent 40 years in the hospitality industry & visited hundreds of hotels for either work or pleasure, however I have never before experienced the rudeness of the lobby/reception staff at The Silo. This is all the more shocking as service in CT is otherwise so polite & friendly....

This is all the more shocking as service in CT is otherwise so polite & friendly. Interesting to note, reading through some other reviews here, that l am not the first to encounter this issue. There has been buzz about this property since it opened, however the attitude of the lobby hosts is failing not only the hotel, but the whole city's tourism industry. So disappointing.
