Unfortunately, while at the Ritz we had a terrible experience on our first night. The owner of the hotel had a party that ran until 4 am. They played very loud music the entire time, disrupting our sleep. When confronting the hotel about the noise, they first denied it, saying it must be from outside. Then they admitted a function was taking place and it would be over by midnight. When confronted again, they let us know that it would actually be over by 4am. It was insulting to have the hotel try and claim that the noise wasn't coming from the hotel when it was very clearly audible from the lobby.

This was our first stop on our tour of SE Asia to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. I booked a Club room and on arrival we were upgraded to a suite. A bathroom with a fantastic view of the city (loved the Dyson hairdryer) and other rooms had views of Marina Bay.
We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea (lots of champagne) and early evening snacks. Moyra checked us in and welcomed us every time we accessed the Club Lounge. We took advantage of the Club car to take us to Raffles.
It was the little touches that made this special - a birthday cake, small gift and spectacle wipes as housekeeping noticed we wore spectacles.
I have stayed in luxury hotels across the world and this is one of the best. The service from all the staff is exceptional and they are a credit to the Ritz Carlton brand.

This was our 4th stay at The Ritz-Carlton Millenia Singapore and this property never disappoints, it is in fact our favourite home away from home in the Garden City since 1988!
We spent 2 nights at the end of February and we wished our stay could be longer.
We booked a Marina Bay View Club Room and were graciously upgraded to a fabulous Millenia Suite!
That said, we find the rooms to be wonderful as well, but definitely go for Marina bay view and Club access for an experience to the next level.
We personally love the decor and style of the rooms with clean lines, bright burr-like wood panelling matched with leather which are art Deco meets 1980s!
Some might not like this style, but rooms are immaculately kept and stylish nevertheless.
The iconic octagonal windows in the bathrooms and the wall-wide windows of the bedrooms still amaze with mind-blowing views of Singapore skyline.
Club access is a must if you want to be pampered to some delicious all-day gourmet dining and an even more personalised and excellent service.
Service and customer attention are the fundamentals of the ladies and gentlemen at the Ritz-Carlton, who will take wonderful care of you and are part of the experience.
In all one of the best and most iconic hotels in Singapore and one of those properties around the world where to find excellence in hotellerie!
Our heartfelt thank you for yet another unforgettable stay!!

We had an amazing stay in a suite overlooking Marina Bay, the view on an evening was spectacular. Our room was spacious and comfortable and felt luxurious. The bed was really comfortable too. The bathroom also had an amazing view of the Flyer and Gardens by the Bay, and we had some lovely sunrises framed by the Flyer. Staff go the extra mile to help you and can't do enough for you, we also had some complimentary gifts for my birthday and came back to the room on day one to a gift of biscuits too. There are lots of amenities in the room, including some high-end toiletries and you get decent robes and slippers as standard. You are supplied with lots of water in the room each day and again at turn-down, and every time you leave the hotel, staff ask if you need any more to take with you, it was very welcome in the heat. We used the Millenia Walk to get to the nearby MRT station (Promenade) and also the nearest shops, we found this useful during a downpour as we were able to get from the MRT back to the hotel without getting wet at all. Breakfast was very good and every day we were booked into a different seating area of the restaurant, so no looking around for tables. The food choices were plentiful and kept well topped up. Would definitely return to this hotel in a heartbeat. Its just a shame they don't participate in the Bonvoy programme.

We were only staying for 1 night to celebrate my wife's birthday although it was a lovely relaxing stay and seemed as if we were there for longer. From the welcome on arrival to checking out every part of our short stay was perfect. Staff couldn't have been nicer, we had a lovely room with a view of the Kallang area and the swimming pool area was a good size and very chilled (there's a bit of noise from construction across the road but not much the hotel can fo about that).
Special mention to Nicolette who checked us in and was a delight, very friendly and helpful and sent up some 'Happy Birthday' cake and sweets for my wife along with a handwritten note which made it even more special. Also a thank you to Kenneth for giving our room another tidy and freshen up while we were out for dinner.

We stayed three nights at the Ritz-Carlton Millenia in January. This is a stunning hotel where the highlights for us were the location, the views (go for a high floor Marina Bay view room, it's definitely worth it), the food and the exemplary service.
Definitely get a club access room if available, the level of service is second to none. From arrival all the way to check out we were extremely well looked after. Special thanks to Hanif and Moira who gave us an excellent welcome!
We were checked-in by Moira who was so friendly and helpful! Throughout our stay she always greeted us by name and with a smile. The whole team at the Club were professional and on hand to meet every need. Special thanks also to Firdaus (hope that's spelled correctly!) who handled check out for us and saw us to our taxi.
The hotel itself is beautiful and in a fantastic location. We had dinner at Colony and Summer Pavilion, both were excellent. The only criticism we have is for the lifts, at busy times you can be waiting for quite a while. On one occasion we had to wait about 15 minutes for one to arrive which we later found out was because of a breakdown.

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay in Ritz. Special thanks to Dickson, the Front Desk Duty Manager who prepared some very special welcome gifts for us, and Jithra, the Club Lounge Manager who arranged a beautiful suite with a spectacular Marina Bay view plus a special arrangement for us which I highly appreciated. Both Jithra and Dickson’s warm hospitality make me keep coming back to stay in Ritz every year. I always feel like being pampered as a princess in this beautiful hotel.
Happy stay and sweet memories. Thank you.

This is our second time at the hotel and not been great. Hotel, staff, rooms and spa etc are on point as expected. The only thing was on Saturday night the hotel had some weddings on that lasted well in the the very early hours of the night due to an after party that could be heard and felt all through the hotel. We wanted to get a quiet getaway which ended up being horrific. In the morning when asking about it to the front desk, no apologies were given and we were kind of looked away as if it was our fault. Honestly, better check the 'events list' of the hotel before booking here. A real shame cause the rest was good..

This hotel is in dire need of room renovations to be compared 1x1 to other 5 star hotels in Singapore. We made a mistake by staying here.
Rooms haven't been touched since 2013 and it looks like it's been since '96 when the hotel opened.
They're currently under renovations which you WILL hear very loudly if you happen to be in your room after 10am and between 6pm. Hopefully the refurbs really level them up.
This hotel shouldn't be considered a 5 star hotel in Singapore. Neither the hard product, nor the service warrants it.

We arrived a little hot after coming straight from the airport. We had a Club room with a Marina bay view. We were taken straight up to be checked in at the club lounge, while we were waiting we were offered afternoon tea and a glass of cold champagne, a real reviver and treat.
Our room was a good size , great views, a huge bed with luxurious linens, bottled water was provided, fresh fruit and cookies on our arrival. Nespresso coffee machine with china cups and saucers. The bathroom was huge, separate toilet, really powerful shower and a good sized bath with all the luxury amenities you could want,
Food in the club lounge was really good quality, you could drink champagne all day if that was your tipple and good variety of food on offer. Violet got me the recipe for a dish I tried there that I particularly liked. All the staff in the lounge couldn’t do enough to ensure your stay was enjoyable, whether it was food or drink or just being helpful with information that you asked for.
Good sized swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room in the spa area..
Downstairs the staff in the lobby always greeted you with a smile, even offering to send some ice to our room when I arrived back from a days sightseeing rather hot.
We hope to return at some point and would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel, we’ve stayed at a few Ritz Carlton’s which were all very good but this is the best one so far.

The service was professional but warm. The room was the perfect size, I’d booked a reasonably basic room given we there for only one night but with the added Marina Bay view extra. What we didn’t know was that view was mainly comprised of a construction site. We were on the 8th floor from memory.
We had cocktails at the lounge bar (perfect), sushi at the Japanese, which is in the building but might not be part of the property (amazing) and room service dessert (excellent).
The location is fantastic, especially for tourists; a short walk to a shopping centre and the hawkers and bars around Marina Bay.
I’m not a big buffet kinda girl but I did get FOMO walking past the buffet here.
My main gripe was that despite booking this property through the Marriot Bonvoy app I subsequently found out it doesn’t honour the points. Which was the main motivator for staying at the Singapore Edition when we returned from Indo. Which was objectively better in every way, apart from potentially view and location, which again was marred by the whole cranes and dirt thing.

Cranes, diggers, earth movers etc operating 7 days a week.
View from our room overlooking Marina Bay interrupted by the building site. Work tends to start around 07.00hrs and the continuous noise is very noticeable even though we were on the 9th floor.
Accepting this is outside the management of the hotel, I would have thought there would be some mention of this 2 year project on their website.

We always book Marina Bay club king room (connecting rooms available) as the views from these rooms are spectacular! Service in the Club Lounge is excellent and it’s a perfect spot to sit back and relax. Breakfast choice here is smaller than downstairs at The Colony restaurant. Rooms are big and the beds are extremely comfortable. Plenty storage space and seating. Enjoy a soak in the bathtub whilst enjoying the views, highly recommended! This is my favourite hotel in Singapore and definitely recommend if you are looking for luxury and top notch service. I also recommend The Colony Restaurant for the best brunch in town, Summer Pavilion (Cantonese cuisine) and of course a night at Republic for amazing cocktails and food.

One of, if not the best stays I've experienced across Singapore. I booked through FHR Amex and needless to say, it was truly worth it. From arrival to check in, my partner and I were looked after tremendously well and greeted with warm welcomes on arrival by every staff member we passed by.
We had the luxury of getting an upgrade from our initial room to a Marina bay suite view (!!!) and the comfort of the room and view was amazing. The host at the Ritz lounge Shao Ming was superbly attentive, looking after us the entire stay and made it feel as if the Ritz Millenia was our home away from home. Even though it was a late anniversary celebration, all the staff there made the moment so much more memorable.
The widely sought-after "Colony" restaurant was also something to remember. Beautiful decors, good variety of food selection. If anything, we will be back purely just for that breakfast buffet! Overall brilliant hotel choice for anyone looking to find a place to stay in Singapore or just for a staycation. You will definitely not regret it :)

We would not recommend this hotel for the price we paid. While the property is beautiful and well-located, the level of service did not meet Ritz-Carlton standards.
At the micro-level, the staff in housekeeping, spa, and restaurants—especially at Colony, Summer Pavilion, The Republic, and one porter (Ming)—were excellent. Likely a reflection of the warm nature of Singaporeans. But at the macro-level, front-of-house operations and guest relations felt disorganized and impersonal.
Before our stay, we received a pre-arrival email inviting us to share details to enhance our visit. I responded with our itinerary and noted it was our anniversary. We never received a reply, and nothing was acknowledged when we arrived—so what was the point?
At check-in, we were offered a paid Marina Bay view upgrade (S$100/night), which felt transactional rather than thoughtful. Our room had water leaking from the fridge and a clogged, filthy shower drain. We had to partly clean it ourselves with a spoon just to use the shower. Housekeeping eventually came, but there was no follow-up or sense of accountability.
Later in the week, I scraped my knee exiting a taxi. I initially went to our room without help, then returned downstairs to ask for assistance. The woman at the guest relations handed me alcohol wipes. Only after showing visible blood did someone with a first aid kit arrive—still rushed and impersonal. A staff member asked for our room number, yet there was no follow-up on the injury either.
Because of this, we’ve ruled out staying at the Ritz in St. Thomas next year. The brand no longer feels worth the investment. The hotel manager has since replied to a similar review with an apology—but an apology after the fact doesn’t undo the disappointing experience.

This was the most expensive hotel of our 16 night, 4 hotel stay in SE Asia and also the most disappointing hotel we stayed in - being a supposed 5 Star and also a huge let down for the price point. Considering Singapore is known for amazing hotels and this is supposed to be one of the best, we have the right to expect high standards and didn't get them. Our room was in excess of £500 for one night. I have seen many other people had a great stay here and while I am pleased for them, this is not what we got.
We had previously been here for dinner at Colony the year before (which was epic!) and the hotel looked amazing, so we splashed out for a night here as a treat. And wish we hadn't bothered.
There are positives of this hotel:
It looks amazing and is well located if you have reason to be in the Marina Bay area, where many of the tourist sites are.
It is located near to major roads and the Mass Transit system and you can walk easily to several shopping centres.
Staff were all really nice.
Pool was a great size and well screened from the city.
Gym and spa facilities looked really good and largely well maintained.
Grounds were also beautiful
The views can be really good if you have a higher floor
Wifi worked well throughout the hotel.
The negatives:
The check in lobby had far too many diffusers on the go to the point it was overbearing and it would definitely affect people with breathing issues / allergies. I don't know if there was a bad smell there that they were trying to mask?
The Colony breakfast was so chaotic and busy. The food is served at various broken up islands / stations and as such. There are no lines or anything. Must buffets are quite linear and everyone (generally) moves in the same direction. People just come at all angles here and make it quite a chaotic (Colony dinner was organised differently because the meal times are staggered). Some food items were put out with no utensils for the self service.
Also, during breakfast, we were largely ignored by staff for table service and drinks, whereas other guests were repeatedly offered refills.
We enjoyed spending time by the pool but were horrified by the poolside prices. As an example, can of Coke was the equivalent of £16! For one can. I work in central London on a regular basis. I have never found a Coke costing more than £5. It is not like it is hard to come by in Singapore. They were sold next door in the mall for less than £2 equivalent. This is just an unnecessary rip off.
Our room:
Rubbish from previous guests was left out on the desk and not removed.
The standard of decorative finish in the bathroom was poor with cracked tiles and poor sealant finishes.
I can't remember ever staying in a hotel with concrete floors that have had wood floors laid on top (badly). The floor was uneven and squeaked as we moved around the room. The wood floor was also damaged in places. I think they were aware of this, so had covered the floor with a large rug that was sadly quite beaten and feeling sorry for itself.
One piece of the furniture had been damaged and had a horrible repair attempt (see photo) by someone I assume cannot see colours. Seriously though, a 5* hotel and over £500 a night and you can't replace damaged furniture?
The reading light built into the bed was faulty and flickered whenever someone moved in the bed and then also when it felt like going off. Not great to have poor electrical wiring built into your headboard. There were other issues but I think I have explained my point. I would be happier if our room was closer to the £150 mark for what we got.
At the time of our stay, we were exhausted and had been told the hotel was basically full with multiple weddings taking place - so we did not bother complaining to staff.
