A fantastic experience, central location yet incredibly quiet. Within walking distance of everything I wanted to see. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff and the bed was the comfiest I have ever known in a hotel! Will definitely making a return visit

Love this hotel, great location
Great hotel, clean, nice rooms, very well equipped, amazing location and very nice and helpful staff!!
We have stayed at this hotel a few times and plan to return again in the future. Walking distance from westside theater, tons of restaurants, bars, Oxford st. For shopping. Love it!

The reception staff were friendly and helpful on check-in. The room was a good size and clean. Good quality Wi-Fi and always plenty of hot water for a shower. Great smelling Molten and Brown toiletries. The fridge in the Kitchenette was handy and the wife appreciated the GHD hairdryer in the room. We ended up walking to most areas as we were in such a central location but when we did use the Tube it’s only about 5 minutes to Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road stations. The hotel seemed fairly quiet when we were there, we always had the lift to ourselves. We would definitely use this hotel again and would use others in the chain now we have experienced this one.

The location is excellent close to the shops of Oxford St and the many bars and restaurants close by.
Shout out to the friendly staff, especially Rama, who were so accommodating.

Just on our way home from a fantastic 3-night stay at the heart of Soho in the very comfortable Resident Hotel. The hotel is in an ideal location, within easy walking distance of all the main theatres, Oxford Street, Chinatown, Covent Garden and of course Soho!
The reception team were very welcoming and can give good advice on the best places to eat and drink (of which there are many nearby). If booking this hotel, you should be aware that there is no bar or restaurant, but each room has a nicely appointed kitchenette complete with crockery/utensils and there are so many cafe’s and restaurants nearby that you really don’t need one in the hotel. You can also get a complimentary glass of wine between 6 & 7 each evening which is a nice touch before you head out on the town.
Soho is absolutely bouncing on a Saturday night but once we got back to our room we couldn’t hear a thing, and we slept really well. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough if you want a fun break right in the heart of the best London has to offer. It was also very reasonably priced for the high standard of accommodation offered.
The only thing that could have improved the room would be to have a mirror near the hairdryer which was attached to the wardrobe.

The room was elegant and spotlessly clean with a large and very comfortable bed - we loved the mini kitchen. Soundproofing is excellent with absolutely no noise. All the staff were great but we must give a special mention to Andres and Pablo who made our stay extra special. We have joined The Resident membership programme and will return soon.

We stayed at The Resident Soho from 28 December 2024 to 2 January 2025. This was our second stay at this hotel, having previously stayed in early-January 2023. We stayed in a Superior room and had joined The Resident membership program on our last stay. We booked directly with The Resident as they had the best price, and you get the earlier check-in and later check-out as a member. All the staff at The Resident Soho that we encountered were fantastic. Everyone at the front desk was lovely, welcoming and helpful. Pablo the Reception Manager is an absolute delight! He was so helpful answering an email from me prior to our check-in regarding laundry pick up, and we got to have a lovely chat with him in the lobby while we were killing time before we had to get our taxi to the airport. He made sure that we were signed up and getting the best deal on rates etc. We really love the convenience of having the small kitchen facilities in the room, this is great for being able to do our own simple breakfasts (cereal) and keeping drinks (and medications) cold during your stay. The location is fantastic, close great public transport options, shopping, bars, restaurants, theatres etc. A vibrant, lively neighbourhood to stay in. A small Tesco supermarket a minute away if you need to pick up some bits and pieces. As we did the last trip to London, we split our stay across two hotels to experience a couple of different neighbourhoods, before we checked-in to The Resident Soho, we had been staying at The Resident Victoria. This is another great hotel, in another great area of London. We love The Resident hotels, and didn't even look at other hotels when we were booking this trip, it is everything we need in our price range. Highly recommend a stay at The Resident!

I always thought I had to put up with crappy accommodation for an exorbitant price in London. Well, not anymore. This place is modern, stylish, and in the center of Soho, surrounded by great places to eat and drink. We were upgraded for no additional cost to a suite which had a king bed and a small kitchenette. I particularly loved the filtered water tap in the kitchen and Molten Brown toiletries in the bathroom. And if that wasn't enough, they give you the free drink in the lobby every day between 5 and 6 pm! We will definitely stay here again.

It's super close to Chinatown and the theater district too, which made getting around so easy. Loved being able to walk to Gail's for breakfast, and Bar Bruno is literally just down the street.
The room was comfortable, though a bit small (pretty standard for London). One heads-up: the bathtub is really high, which might be tricky if you have mobility issues.
All in all, this is a great hotel in an unbeatable location if you want to be in the middle of London's food and entertainment scene!

We stayed a week at the Resident Soho and would definitely do it again. The location is perfect, allowing an easy walk to Bloomsbury and the West End and Covent Garden. For places beyond, the tube is right up the street. The neighborhood is really fun and very lively, with a park a half block away and dozens of restaurants to choose from. It was important for us to have the kitchenette because we prefer to do cereal and coffee for breakfast rather than go out every morning. There's a grocery store a half block away and it was easy to get what we needed, including some nice berries. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been nicer. They had our room ready when we arrived, a few hours ahead of schedule. The room was a little dark, but worth it because it was in the back of the building and we didn't hear any of the noise from the rowdy neighborhood. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. The housekeeping staff was great, and since there was no dish soap or towel, we just left our dishes and they replaced them with clean ones. There's a really good kettle for hot water and a good coffee maker. For a week's stay, it was perfect.

Great rooms, great location but above all great staff!
Second stay at the Resident Soho. It did not disappoint. Charming small hotel in a great location. But the standout feature of the hotel is the superb staff. They were eager to make sure that our stay was wonderful. There is no doubt we will be back.
Great location and amazing staff
Fantastic location right in the heart of SOHO, with easy access to the Tube. The staff were outstanding—extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, especially Saad and Nishan, who went above and beyond. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which was incredibly spacious and comfortable.

A modest hotel, very clean, extremely comfortable, although the rooms are small, but well designed. The main thing is the dedicated and smiling staff. We stayed here for one night when we went to the Royal Ballet. The hotel is in an excellent location for Covent Garden and nearby theatre land. Our room (standard double) was compact but very comfortable and with cleverly designed access to a kitchenette as well as plenty of storage space. The shower room was also a good size. Everything was clean and well maintained. The hotel is in a lively area with good access to cafes, bars and restaurants. They don't provide breakfasts but there are a number of places nearby to go to. The service was excellent and we appreciated the free wine in the evening. You will find cheaper rooms elsewhere but given the location, the high quality of acccomodation and service this hotel represents good value for money and we would certainly recommend it.

This was our first but definitely not our last stay at The Resident Soho. We've been coming to London for decades and had been staying at the same hotel for the last 10 years. However since things had gone downhill at that particular hotel, it was time for a change. And we did not regret it for one minute!
The location is superb, the superior room with kitchen and bathroom on the second floor was spacious and very clean and it was also a quiet room. There are plenty of places to have some breakfast closeby as well.
But what made our stay memorable was the kindness and attentiveness of all the staff. We could ask them anything and they always responded in a correct and very friendly manner. We truly felt very welcome and cared for.
The day before we left, I fell down in Earlham Street and unfortunately broke my shoulder. The staff were extremely helpful in calling a cab to and from the A&E and left us some sweets and a lovely get well card upon our return 4 hours later. They really were concerned about my wellbeing, truly cared and went above and beyond the call of duty. My heartfelt thanks to Saad and Linda!
I cannot recommend this hotel enough and again a huge thank you to all the wonderful staff! You are what makes this hotel a home from home.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and as always the service was exemplary. We had an excessive amount of luggage with us for this trip and when the staff saw that it was difficult for us to access it in our room they sent staff to move out some furniture just to make us more comfortable. With this adjustment we had plenty of space and the room was one of the best we’ve stayed in. Each room of the hotel has a slightly different configuration as the hotel is in a historic Soho building. Each time we were headed out to an unfamiliar location the staff printed us a step by step set of directions so we had no trouble at all. This hotel is in the best location for going to West End shows, museums or shopping Oxford Street. The rooms have every modern convenience-microwave, refrigerator, tea kettle, sink in small kitchen area, coffee maker with pods, tea bags, individual thermostat with excellent air conditioning, black out curtains. The bed and linens are comfortable. The bath is spacious and the shower/tub has excellent plumbing and hot water. The heated towel racks also work to quick dry any hand washing of clothes. We also enjoy the complimentary glass of wine in the lobby each evening between 6:00-7:00. This served as an ideal way to relax from the hustle and bustle of the day before going to theatre each evening. We were greeted each time we left or returned and several of the front desk staff that we had met on previous trips welcomed us back. The note waiting for us on our arrival welcomed us back. This hotel feels like our home away from home when we come to London each year. Can’t wait to return again.
