The Dominick Hotel

This was my second time staying in the sohi rooms on the 36 floor and the views are absolutely stunning. The experience is exceptional and luxury. This is our go hotel when we think about a weekend getaway. Everything about this hotel stands out!

There are many things to recommend the Dominick Hotel, but this is only a two star review because of one thing--the ludicrous and highly frustrating elevator system. They need to change the elevator system, and I am unclear as to why that hasn't happened yet. There are regular long waits...

There are many things to recommend the Dominick Hotel, but this is only a two star review because of one thing--the ludicrous and highly frustrating elevator system. They need to change the elevator system, and I am unclear as to why that hasn't happened yet. There are regular long waits for the elevators, going both up and down, and guests exchanging stories about how bad they are. The system is that one puts their floor number in and the system tells the guest which of the 4 elevators they are waiting for. Sometimes an elevator (or two) will come and go while the guest is still waiting for "their" elevator. And, only 3 of the 4 elevators work. Who knows why! This system outweighs all of the amenities that the hotel has. It is unacceptable.

The hotel is very nice and service is great. The rooms are well appointed and spacious (for NYC). The bathroom is updated and fairly large - esp for NYC. The hotel is also in a great locations. One negative - the elevators are so dang slow. At time there were...

One negative - the elevators are so dang slow. At time there were about 15 people waiting for an elevator. I would visit the hotel again.

The Dominick Hotel was very nice. Room was very comfortable. Bed was great. Loved the deep soaker tub. View of Hudson was lovely, Nice to have amenities such as microwave. Spa was very nice-enjoyed couples massage. Close to restaurants. Would stay here again.

Everything was great except the thermostat in our room did not work. The room was too cool at68 and the thermostat was set to 72 when we arrived. We called for an engineer to fix but it was never repaired. When sleeping we turned the temperature down to 66 but...

5 star service with a few hiccups. There was a distinct smell - we were unsure if it was a scent or old cigarette smoke. Suite was comfortable, service good. Took 50 minutes and 3 phone calls for them to send an Uber eats delivery up which was annoying. Gym...

5 star service with a few hiccups. There was a distinct smell - we were unsure if it was a scent or old cigarette smoke. Suite was comfortable, service good. Took 50 minutes and 3 phone calls for them to send an Uber eats delivery up which was annoying. Gym is nice and cool with updated equipment. Lobby is modest in size. Solid option if this is the area you want to stay in.

The best stay for a trip to New York. The location is perfect in the quieter side of New York, but still so many options for coffees, food, restaurants, shops and things to do. Closest subway only a 7 minute walk. The room was great with all amenities and great views of new york. The concierge were wonderful during our stay and could not have done enough for us. I became unwell on the last day and they kindly re-arranged our flight home with BA on our behalf. Room service was quick and efficient. Decor was great and the rooms and hotel were super clean. If we come back to NYC we would book here, unless we wanted to visit another area of NY. Thanks for a great stay.

The room was good enough cupboard space big bathroom very good housekeeping service Quality bed and beddings quality Towles . Good water pressure . Breakfast was terrible service bad attendue almost rude food cold unfresh . Other than that the rest was best . Front desk , Consierge , doorman , housekeeping were all perfect . Good luck
