We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. Although the view from the top floor room was not the one we expected, which is subjective to what is iconic for someone , everything else was great. Bijou was very helpful and accommodating to our needs and made us feel like home. The room service was great and all staff was very friendly and with a big smile. The location is amazing and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel has a fantastic art deco lobby very modern and this hotel I would certainly stay again as loved it.

My husband and I had a fabulous evening in New York celebrating our wedding anniversary and are so happy to have stayed at the Sofitel New York. We received impeccable service and a top rated room full of luxurious amenities. The assistant director of the hotel front desk personally introduced himself and ensured our stay was beyond our expectations. Mr. Zaid and his staff delivered an exception experience. Knowing in advance that we were celebrating an anniversary, the hotel staff filled our room with beautiful surprises setting a romantic tone for our stay; they folded whimsical towel swans & sprinkled colorful flower petals on our bed, indulged us with chocolate covered strawberries including a kind note, and turned on the radio to a classical music station. These lovely gestures were so thoughtful and we were enchanted as soon as we entered our room. The spacious, luxuriously appointed room was perfect for our overnight retreat. The pillows and bedding were plush- we enjoyed a restful and comfortable nights sleep. The bathroom was equipped with the essentials you would need for a night away including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, nail file, shower cap, cotton swabs, sewing kit, blow dryer, and more. There is a mini fridge filled with many beverages and treats. Room service or the lobby restaurant and lobby art gallery are all available to enjoy - we didn’t need to leave the hotel at all, but we in such a central location in NYC to dining and entertainment, we did venture out to explore the city sites. We were very impressed by the attentiveness of the staff from the moment we stepped out of our car. Everyone was committed to creating a positive experience. The doorman and gentleman who helped us with our luggage were friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. We received first rate service at both check in and check out. We had quite a pleasurable stay. We look forward to staying again the next time our travels bring us to New York City.
