This is a review I never thought I would write...
My husband and I stayed here September 17th thru the 22nd and made it our BIG destination while traveling throughout Italy for 2.5 weeks. Amalfi coast has ALWAYS been my most dreamed about location to go to and could not wait to come to Ravello and stay at this hotel. I did my homework and checked all reviews and made sure that THIS was the hotel visit. I was even ok with the amount of money I spent for a 6-night stay ($8k us).
At check in, all seemed ok, we walked around with the young lady, who showed us the area. We were informed that we could not go and walk around by the pool area because it closed at sundown, but it was only 5:30pm and the sun was fully out, and we REALLY wanted to go see the pool and the area by the sea. Did not understand why they close the area to adults to sit and enjoy a cocktail by the water before the sun goes down, are children?
The room was beautiful as we stayed on the far end by the waterfall, we enjoyed the amenities the room offered. Snacks and drinks are NOT included but apparently the water bottles are, of which they were not replenished every day, which was sad. Ice is something you must get from the little bar in the main area of hotel but be prepared to wait and piss off staff for asking for anything, even a $20 vodka soda.
We decided to have dinner at the hotel our first night there as it was getting late after unpacking and we just wanted to chill. We went up top to the dinner area and sat outside, and it was lovely...at first! We waited about 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged, even though there were only 4 other tables. The staff was large, we saw about 6 people walking around, but no one greeted us to just say hello or welcome. Once we were greeted, by the older gentleman, who has worked there since the opening of the hotel, it was to merely find out what take our order, no engagement, no getting to know us, no friendliness. We figured, ok, maybe it's just him...NO, it was most ever one who treated you with disregard. I had ordered a glass of wine at the beginning and my husband ordered a cappuccino, my husband received his quickly and mine never arrived. I waited awhile trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but finally I did waive down a gentleman to inquire about it and he said he would check, but it didn't seem like he was going to do anything. I finally got our gentleman to come near us and when I said "I think you forgot my wine" he just looked at me. I finally got it with dinner, and nothing was even said about it. Wine does not make the experience, but the folks behind the service do, and they made our first dining experience feeling unappreciated.
We only at breakfast every day as it was included, and it was pretty good, just the exact same food every day and got very boring. The bacon was always undercooked, and I finally asked for some to be cooked more one day when I decided to eat it. Stock up on the snacks from breakfast for later since nothing in the room is included in your very expensive price per night. Any time we had questions about anything, we typically went to the front desk, as it was really the only place to find someone. We were never greeted with "hello, how are you" or "hello, how is your stay going", only short responses. Sea side one day, we sat out in the chairs for about an hour, never greeted by the "pool guy" they talk so highly of or anyone for that matter, to ask if we wanted anything, which was fine, as we really didn't want anything at first, but we decided we wanted a little bite, as it was around 3pm and we wanted a lite lunch. I walked to the club area and asked for a menu and was given one. Once I decided on what I wanted, I told the gentleman and he replied, "food isn't available anymore" and with disbelief, I said why did you give me a menu and not tell me, and it’s only 3pm. He looked at me and my obvious frustration, and said hold on...he did come back and say what would you like. Once again, left to feel like I am inconveniencing them. One day in particular that left me over the edge with my feelings of not being welcome here, is when I went to the bar (like I have done several times, as you cannot get ice anywhere else in the hotel) and after standing at the bar area without any acknowledgement, watching 4 different staff members walk by me for 6-10 minutes, I finally flagged down one (of whom has helped me before with ice) and she looked at me with such disgust and disregard, she took my bottle out of my hands and I quickly took it back, and said do not bother! I could not believe how she looked at me.
Service at the front desk, seaside and bar area made us feel unwelcome, disregarded and not special at all. I could go into much detail, as I did in my letter to the hotel when we left, but not one person responded to it, I even waited 3 weeks before leaving this review, but no response. Go somewhere else by the sea, not this place. From a hospitality person who owns a restaurant in Colorado, shame on you for not teaching and holding your staff to a higher standard! It starts at the top and obviously the top people do not work hands on. Lasinda & Jimmy

Minori is a quick walk from property and Ravello is a mere 900 stairs away 🤣. We walked to Minori -Ravello route in 2 hours. Breakfast is scrumptious and dining staff very generous.
Thank you to all Marmorata staff, Antonio in shuttle and Ivan especially helping with vegetarian dinner.

Sandra at the front desk was so helpful in helping us plan our days. Ivan at the bar was fun and super helpful when looking for that perfect cocktail. Lorenzo and Daniale in the dining room were there with suggestions and a friendly smile every time we walked in. Our experience was intimate and memorable. A really happy time!

This hotel is beyond beautiful, we felt so lucky to have been here. Our favorite part of this hotel was the direct access to the water via the Beach Club. It was amazing to dip into the Mediterranean sea and enjoy the gorgeous view. The staff was so warm, we felt very welcomed. We also really loved the food and drinks (shoutout Ivan!). Other great aspects about our stay was the cleanliness of the entire grounds, the spaciousness of the room, and the art all throughout the hotel. We will definitely be back!

The room was spacious with an amazing view of the ocean - can't imagine any of the rooms having a bad view! All of the outdoor spaces for lounging were nice since we did not have a balcony or a terrace on our room.
The hotel is so special and unique - I truly have never stayed at a place like this before, and I have not one bad thing to say about our experience here. We would stay here again and will be recommending it to all of our friends!

Before arriving the website did not show many photos, so we were unsure as to what kind of experience we would have as our first Italian holiday. When we arrived to the hotel we were greeted with friendly/helpful staff and the most beautiful room with a panoramic balcony- The view was second to none and very picturesque. The room was very clean and all the personalised touches (Hotel Marmorata bed linen, towels, hand towels, flip flops, robes & toiletries bag) made the stay so special. The pool area/beach club was like a moment captured from a Slim Aaron’s archive. The lounges, umbrellas and Hotel Marmorata personalised beach towels felt very luxurious. Not to mention the lovely poolside staff who were very friendly. Being situated in a quieter part of the Amalfi Coast and being close to Minori/Maiori was great and within walking distance. This has been the most relaxing and romantic over seas trip for us as a couple and we will be returning. A huge thank you to the staff who went above and beyond for us and our stay. Please do yourself a massive favour and stay at Ravello Art Hotel Marmorata!

I cannot praise this hotel enough! We were collected by the shuttle bus from the port within minutes and whisked to the hotel where our bags were taken and checked in. We were a little early so went to use the beach club and swim in the sea. A perfect way to start the day.
Our room was on the 4th floor with a wonderful ocean view. The nautical theme throughout adds great character and not just a sterile environment. Air con was perfect. Shower was powerful and towels were always on-hand with housekeeping. Beach club staff were so attentive and did their best for every guest. Breakfast was continental but you could also order from a menu. The pasteries were great. I had an omlette on the final morning and it was so fresh. The hotel catered for every request and couldn't do enough for us. The fixed time shuttle is a great idea and allows you to plan your day if you need it. Every staff member knew us by our room number which I thought was lovely. It can be hard to remember guests names from different nationalities yet it still felt very personal. Overall we could not fault a single thing in this hotel. The staff, the food, the beach club, the bedrooms... Everything perfect! Already planning to come back next year. A special call out for Sandra, she was so quick with email queries and phone calls and also Ivan from the bar! We had great chats with him. You can tell all the staff enjoy working there and you could always feel their warmth. Can you tell we loved this hotel?? 11 out of 10!!

How do we give this place 10 stars? Literally everything was perfect. The property is the only hotel in ravello with beach access. They also have a pool. When you jump into the ocean there is a beautiful waterfall you can swim to. They have plenty of pool toys and kayaks. There is a bar at the pool with food and drinks. The staff there was soooooo nice and on point. The restaurant on site was delicious. We went there both nights. The staff at the restaurant was so incredibly friendly. Make sure you try their Bellinis. I’ve never had anything like it. This hotel is not walking distance to ravello or minori but they do have shuttles. There is a trail to ravello you can take but in the hot months I wouldn’t recommend. It’s about 1200 steps. It was honestly so nice at the hotel we didn’t have to leave. Thank you ravello staff for making this leg of trip so dreamy and perfect. We will be back!
