The smell of stale smoke when entering the hotel front door was off-putting. The casino allows smoking in half the open casino and it's disgusting. You must walk through the second-hand smoke to get to the restaurants. YUCK!
Mini bars are full of hotel booze, not to be used for anything else.
Enjoyed eating at the Bistecca by Il Mulino Restaurant (most fine-dining/best quality of al the restaurants). Brian the bartender took good care of us.
The hotel pool (while beautiful to look at) was too chilly to swim in (the hot tub was the same cool temp!) . Highly chlorinated smell while sitting nearby can be overwhelming.
Massages are overpriced.
For a hotel of this level, they should offer some additional higher end shops, rather than just the junky snack gift shop.
The hotel is located in a great area, easy to visit nearby sites and hiking. Bushkill Falls is 20 min. drive, highly recommend!

We always have a great time when we stay. Lucky 8 is one of our favorite restaurants. The only negative is the removal of the swans. We have been looking forward to seeing the swans when we walk in the morning.. All the staff is very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I spent two nights at this resort for our anniversary trip. The resort has a decent amount of options for food and activities if you do not want to go off the resort for anything, but there are also a ton of spots around for restaurants and entertainment. We decided to hike around Bushkill Falls and grab lunch at the Pocono Brewing Company prior to checking in. The check in process was very smooth and our room was super nice! The lakev view was gorgeous and we even saw a bald eagle fly by! Once settled, we enjoyed a pina colada at the pool bar and swam around before grabbing some food at Guy Fieri's Kitchen. They have spa services and a golf club, as well as plenty of gambling. The next day we went out for breakfast and shopped at some of the candle shops and the outlets. The outlets have so many stores, they could keep you busy for hours. We then grabbed dinner at Frogtown Chophouse and ended the night with some craps and roulette! They also offered us late check out the day we left. We would definitely recommend this spot. It was quiet and peaceful but still had so much to keep us busy.

Great hotel. Great staff. Easy going vibes. I can't wait to return. Food was great. Location is so close to everything. Very happy that we went and got to enjoy each other and the peaceful Pocono mountains. We booked a suite. Buffet was also great.
We are driving home now, and my husband said, "I honestly was impressed and enjoyed the lodge!" "Me too!" Was my reply. We weren't sure what to expect. But we had a great room - a quiet deluxe king. We enjoyed delicious, reasonably priced cocktails poolside service. Showered and dressed...
Showered and dressed to spend just a little bit at the slots. (No, we didn't win, but a slot with a roulette wheel goes awhile on 50 bucks!) Then we topped our night off with a very tasty late night burger at Guy Ferrari's ( open 24 hours). In the morning, we drove in to Jim Thorpe for a stroll and to eat lunch. It was a really nice date!

The young man Randolph at the front desk was nothing short of rude. People book hotels through 3rd parties all the time. I have used BJ travel for years and never had a problem. Unfortunately, this young man had a problem with the information I received. Senior citizens should never be treated rudely. We were staying there for a week. If the drive there wasn't so long and we were tired. I would have left. Someone else working helped us, and we decided to stay.

I have to say that Mt. Airy is my favorite casino in the Northeast PA. The moment I enter the Casino my heart pumps with excitement. I love the feel of this casino and the staff who are so welcoming! I do not always win but I come knowing how much money I can afford to loose...this is called gambling. You win some and you lose some. You can not do a review of a casino based on always winning...that is not fair. I call Mt. Airy home. I have met some wonderful fellow players and we have a great camaraderie and lifetime of best friends.Do not come here to always expect to win but enjoy the people, sights and sounds that a wonderful casino can offer. Also the gifts and perks of membership certainly beats out other local casinos. I chose Mt. Airy hands down!!

The rooms are very nice, clean with a comfortable bed. The detailed instructions at check in were that you cannot use the refrigerator because of the mini bar inside, if anything is moved you would get charged. There is also a snack tray, again if anything is even moved, you will be charged. You could "rent" a small fridge for $26 per night. It is just a bit too pretentious for us. IMO It is an expensive hotel with all the taxes and resort fees.
The staff was very nice and helpful.

Our visit started on a cold very rainy day. We arrived before hotel check in , so we parked in the car parking area ( outside, no garage or covered area) . It is 100 yards to the entrance ( did I mention it was pouring rain). We decided to play the penny slots and then eat lunch. The first $20.00 went quickly. We had a nice lunch at Guy Fier??. We walked to the hotel lobby to see if we could check in early. They had rooms available and we picked the 6th floor. They add a $35.00 entertainment fee to your room rate and hold an additional $50.00 in case you touch the touch sensitive liquor or snacks in the room. I chose not to valet park, so I had to walk to the other end of the property to get the car and return it ( in the rain ) We went to the pool for the afternoon. The pool is large. The pool is heated just enough to be comfortable. Some areas and corners of the pool were scummy/green/dirty and need better cleaning. That evening we went back to the casino and had some fun/ success with the slots and broke even in the end. We ate at the buffet and enjoyed the food. We bought 2 drinks at the bar in the center of the casino. I asked her what was her specialty. She said it doesn't matter, i can only give you 1 oz of alcohol per drink. She took my $20.00 without telling us a price, said thank you and walked away. The bathroom in the room had 3 doors all opening toward each other, very awkward. The shower had about a 3 minute delay for hot water. I guess it must of came from the ground floor. My wife wanted a souvenir glass to go with our souvenir glass from the old hotel 25 years ago but the shop was closed in the morning. All in all ,we told ourselves we had a good time.
