Massive room with beautiful bath tub
The hotel pleasantly surprised me with a spacious room featuring a bathtub, which I enjoyed using every night. The location is excellent. Recoleta cemetery is only a few mins walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's a spa and a small gym.
The hotel is located in a very nice, walkable area near sites and restaurants. The staff was attentive and helpful, holding our luggage post cruise and pre very late flight. Great value for the money, as i found it to be quietly elegant with outstanding service. Great breakfast.

Our late check in (130am) due to flight delays was accommodated by the fine staff. Breakfasts were varied and delicious with a wonderful and attentive staff.
The room was large and gorgeous with wood appointments , plenty of closet space and featuring a beautiful wooden bathtub.
The Spa and exercise area were quiet, calming and impeccably clean like the rest of the hotel.
The front desk staff was wonderful in storing our bags upon check out so that we could truly enjoy our last day in Buenos Aires. 5 stars all around!

We stayed here 5 nights and we only have great reviews about this unique place. The bed and bedding were super comfortable. The room was clean and modern. The handcrafted wood tub was the highlight. The restaurant on the lower floor has amazing service and food and wine. Even the hotel bar serves up delicious empanadas and homemade soup.
Most reviews are about the place which there is a lot on this hotel, but we thought to share a story about the staff who is the spirit and who make this hotel worth staying here rather than anywhere else.
On our 1st day we arrived before check-in. The manager, Andreas gave us vouchers for their complimentary breakfast, placed our luggage in the safe room and scheduled a massage for us while we waited. The Spa upstairs is beautiful and clean and the massage therapists were professional and skilled.
Communication here is through Whatsapp as like most places in Argentina. Our questions were always answered quickly. This was clutch on many occasions. Once, we were in a taxi and forgot the address of Mio. We “WhatsApp’ed” Mio and someone quickly responded.
The best story we have is when Andreas helped us transfer about 10 wine bottles we had brought from Mendoza back to the hotel without us.
We were flying from Mendoza to Puerto Madryn. All flights stop in Buenos Aires. So, we were in the airport waiting for our flight to Puerto Madryn with 10 bottles of wine we had bought in Mendoza which is permissible from Mendoza to Buenos Aires but not to Puerto Madryn. Through WhatsApp, Andreas suggested we could either drink the bottles or he could send over a taxi to get the bottles from the airport and stash them at Mio until we returned. Andreas has a sense of humor.
The plan worked as Andreas said it would. The designated Taxi Man waited outside the luggage arrival area. There was a guard at the sliding door which divides the luggage area and the public area. If we left, then we would have to go through security again and we did not have time to do that.
We could see the taxi driver on the opposite side in the public area and we identified him because he had a sign with our name on it. With the help of one of the car rental guys, we got the attention of the Taxi Driver who came to the guarded sliding door where one of the police officers allowed us to pass over the wine (in 2 boxes) with money for his time and effort to take the wine to Mio.
This is why Mio stands out for us; it is Andreas and the rest of the staff and their spirit of attention and helpfulness that made it spectacular. They helped in other ways too: finding a large suitcase on our last day in BA to pack those 10 bottles (which all made it safely back to the States); reserving a table at their Michelin-rated restaurant (fantastic Osso Bucco); assisting us with logistics to El Tigre and ESMA, the well-known detention and torture and killing center during the 70’s and 80’s.
You can see all the photos on Tripadvisor and the website of the wood tubs, the patio, the breakfast spread and the décor and it is even better than the photos.

We were two couples staying for two weekends at the start and end of our Argentina trip.
Check in was great and super helpful and our first room was lovely (as was our last room) a kind of Junior suite with a wooden bath in the middle. Beds were great and the location here is hard to beat.
Breakfast is fine - nothing too amazing, but service is good and on one night, our partners eat at the restaurant which they thought was fantastic. The small pool is just that - a small dipping pool, but we enjoyed the little outdoor terrace for drinks.
Mio is a lovely brilliantly located choice for a weekend.

We couldn’t have been happier with our choice of this stylish, boutique hotel. The location is ideal, in beautiful Recoleta. Our room was spacious with plenty of storage space and our bed was very comfortable, but the star was the hand carved wooden tub which was wonderful to soak in after a long day of sightseeing. We also enjoyed the heated pool in the relaxing spa. The included breakfast was a plus. Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful and definitely did their best to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Would absolutely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Buenos Aires.

The rooms are very comfortable and have a real cool tub in each room. The spa area is very well done and includes a small fitness area as well.
We ate at Rufino on property 2 of the nights and both meals were excellent.
The hotel can help arrange transport and we took advantage of that as well as used Uber on many occasions.
The hotel is well located in the Recoleta neighborhood with lots of restaurants and attractions nearby which the staff is well versed in recommendations.
Thanks Hotel Mio!
