This is a beautiful lodge that sits near numerous hiking trails. Located on a lake, it offer magnificent views of the water and mountains. The staff is first class and very attentive. The common areas are gorgeous and inviting. Their are two restaurants and a fast food store on the property. Some of the rooms overlook the water. We were placed in a non view room of modest size. The bathroom was spacious but the room was a little tight considering that suitcases were generally open on the floor. Nevertheless, it was comfortable and clean.

Stopped in to view the place and have a drink and small meal. The lodge is rustic and beautiful and the views are unbeaten. The history of the lodge is interesting as well. We enjoyed sitting on the large patio to relax between hikes and our boat tour, enjoyed a drink from the small shop downstairs then had pizza after the boat ride. The lodge is absolutely stunning and the views, the whole experience alone is worth a stop.

5000 mile western driving tour. This was a "bucket list" item.
Magnificent place with killer view. A perfect example of an old mountain lodge complete with huge log beamed ceilings and fireplace. Room was tiny as befits a hundred year old lodge. Winds and rain howl which is rather standard for this location. Loved everything about it.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. In a lot of respects the hotel is very nice. It has a great views with lots to do, including ranger-led talks, hiking and boat tours. (Boat tours should be reserved before you arrive as they sell out.)
The restaurants were good and they offered a good assortment of Montana craft beers. Service in the restaurants and the hotel was top notch.
The common areas of the hotel were very nice. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the great views.
On the downside, parking is a nuisance. You have to park on the other side of a hill which is very inconvenient. Make sure to drop your bags off at the hotel before parking and make sure you don’t leave anything that you need in the car.
Our room was a huge disappointment. The walls were the thinnest I have ever experienced. You hear every word spoken by your neighbors. My wife couldn’t sleep one night because our one neighbor was snoring. You can hear people in the hallway from about 10 yards away. There are no televisions so you can’t drown out your neighbors by turning the tv up. They blame it on the hotel being old but I’ve been in a lot of old hotels that don’t have this problem.
Beyond the noise issue, we also disliked the bed. It was too small and sunken in. The only saving feature of the room was the bathroom. It was fairly large and everything worked well.
With hindsight I would have spent just one night here, arriving early and departing late to optimize the stay. Staying 3 nights was way too much for us.
Note that the hotel is sold out far in advance. You should book about a year in advance if possible. We booked 9 months out and there were very few rooms left.

Check for late cancellations.
Got a room a week before arrival because of late cancellation, very convenient location, nice lodge. Small room but ok, lodge has restaurant, trails nearby. Parking can be challenging with lots of day hikers parking in lots but it works out. Location is great.

I was debating between this title and Magical .... but settled with this one. Believe me, this lodging is absolutely one of my top experiences to date. The lodge is somewhat remote, down a pothole ridden road, by herds of roaming cows on the east side of the park without access to any other services, sitting alongside a lake and surrounded my mountains. After a long day of hiking, we would return to the lodge for dinner and settled in for the night as it was cold, windy and a bit rainy. Because a bunch of hotel staff live on site, we became familiar with the staff and some of the guests during our three-night stay. Each evening I expected a murder and that we all would be suspects - straight out of an Agatha Christie book/movie - aka Clue.
Where to begin - first the staff overall were amazing and helpful and patient. Hats off to a wonderful team of people - to the gift shop ladies, the hipster bartenders, helpful bellhops, patient reception / information desk staff. Thank you!
Fantastic hikes were just steps away from the hotel. The Grinnell Glacier and the Iceberg Lake trails. The Grinnell hike was stunning and was one of our favorite hikes in our national park hiking tour (glacier, yellowstone and tetons). We would have tagged on the iceberg hike as well but thought wrongly that it was closed due to bear activity. I guess we need to return.
The rooms were comfortable and quiet. We feared that the lobby noise would keep us awake as our queen bed room was above the lobby but we heard nothing ...... or perhaps we just crashed each night from hiking exhaustion. The bed was super duper comfortable. We wished we had that bed for the rest of our national park trip. Fantastic shower as well.
While we didn’t have a lake view as we were on the other side, the view of the mountains were just as stunning. And yes, there is basically no internet or phone service or tv’s and that cut off feeling from the rest of the world added to my murder mystery world. But in the end, it was good for us to fully disconnect and not get distracted with work emails - or even social media procrastination. (There are pay phones if needed).
The dining options fit our needs. The bottom floor cafe for quick and inexpensive food options and the bar salon for middle range dining options were fantastic. I already miss the local beers.
Overall I loved it here and am honestly planning to return - although truth be told it’s because the Going-to-the-Sun road didn’t open while we were there, and we only saw a percentage of the park during our three full days there. This park is amazing as others have described. And this is the lodge I would absolutely return to.
P.S. plan to eat at least meal at Two Sisters Cafe in Babb and one meal at the Prince of Wales hotel in Canada (quick hour and a bit drive).

Lovely old lodge that is on a beautiful lake. Did the loop trail. Really nice and easy. At the Intersection go left. We went rt and ended in picnic area. 2.6 miles.
Ate at the bar/grille. Good food. Pricey though.
I've just written a review about Many Glacier Hotel and realised it also goes by the name of Many Glacier Lodge (looks like it refers to the restaurant but there are loads of review about the actual hotel).
Be sure to check out both or reviews of this accommodation.
