Half the price would be too exspensive!

We are just back from a 12 day road trip and stayed in 9 different accomodations. We will always look back on our trip as amazing with the one exception ....The Ledges Hotel. We stayed in january out of season. The room we where allocated was nothing short of student accomodation in poor repair. There was a draught from the window area which was akin to having uncontrolable air conditioning stuck on cold. The hotel felt like it was operating out of season. General lack of effort in upkeep totally ruins its potential. They keep their prices high for being out of season but the bar and restaurant where open for only 4hrs. You are given a voucher to find your own breakfast elsewhere. It is nonsense to suggest that the age of the building and structure causes the issues. Lack of investment, design, workmanship and effort cause the issue. In this day and age it is unreasonable for businesses to be able to falsely represent themselves to such an extent.

My fiancé and I booked the "Spa Getaway by the Falls" and it was great! Patricia and Brittany at the front desk were so nice and very thoughtful. When they found out it was our anniversary, they moved us to an amazing 2-story suite that featured a spiral staircase! Included in the package were breakfast credits to Cocoon- a fantastic café of the property- and dinner credits at Glass Wine Bar & Kitchen- not only great food but we were able to have them send it up via room service. The massages we got form Loren at Vault 240 were phenomenal and it was a pleasure being able to explore such a unique place (an old bank turned into a 1920s era private club). The star of the show was the gorgeous waterfall, and the multitude of decks on the property offered various vantage points to fully appreciate it. We will definitely be going back soon!

We have been to hundreds of hotels of all stripes over the course of our careers and personal vacation lives. We had high expectations for Ledges based on the web description. To be fair, the view of the waterfall was lovely, but the hotel itself was deeply disappointing. Be aware that the marketing and accomodations bear no resemblence to one another and it is hard not to feel that the owners are engaged in intentional fraud. The price alone suggests a high-end experience. Our single night stay with all fees was $500+ for a first floor room with a view of the parking lot. The furnishings could be generously described as 'bare-bones'. No standard features such as a mini-fridge for leftovers or make-up towelettes in the bath area. We understand it is a historic site, but the lack of amenities is not dependent upon hotel age. The pool and hot-tub mentioned were at a different property altogether, requiring a bathing suit car-ride and rubber bracelet. The noise from the floor above was deafening (literally). We had a lot of trouble falling asleep as it sounded like the ceiling might cave in. Our staff experiences were mixed with one disrpespectful encounter and one very pleasant. Needless to say, we cannot recommend this hotel and would instead suggest visiting the lovely waterfall parks in the area and finding a less expensive (and more welcoming) place to sleep.

Our room was on the first floor with a view of… the parking lot along with all the sounds that go with it. This a very photogenic hotel so I won’t deny that we got some great photos. However, the bathroom was outdated and not maintained, and as far as the rest of the room - you could tell they were doing their best. But the certain spots like the walls had dust/dirt and although the bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft, the comforter was light and flimsy. Not cosy at all. Our reservation came with a breakfast credit and I’ll say this - the coffee was not bad (and I am picky- I won’t even drink Starbucks)!
I’d come back to eat at the restaurant because we didn’t get to try it but I don’t think I’ll come back as a guest until they can renovate… though they might be the best accoms in the area.
*the 2 bed suites seem better but I toured them and just feel like it’s more of the same just with extra room.

Parking can be hit or miss and the road leading down to the hotel is a bit stressful, but completely worth the trip!

My husband and I had another wonderful stay at Ledges Hotel recently! Dave, Barbara, and the entire staff are gracious, warm, and welcoming! Our room was spotless and had a fantastic view of the falls! We look forward to returning very soon!
My wife & I wanted a weekend away. The weather was rainy, but it made the falls spectacular. The was a wedding at check-in, which made it awkward for the bride. But, it was beautiful, scenic & the staff was very helpful & friendly. The Glass, was an attached restaurant....

The Glass, was an attached restaurant. It was equally lovely.
To sum it up, it gets a solid A!

We paid a lot for our room, and thankfully the rude woman at the front desk refunded us after 2 hour. First, the place was over-run by a wedding party.
They were clearly given preference while we - also paying guests -- were pushed out of the way by the hotels' uniformly rude staff. The porch overlooking the falls would have been a wonderful place to have a cocktail, but no. It was only for guests of the wedding party. To add to the insult, our room was near a loud door leading to the basement bar. Any time someone used the doorway to go to or from the bar downstairs, we heard a metallic banging in our room. This was a wedding party of drinkers - there was nonstop clanging in that hallway leading down to the bar. The check-in woman told us she was the manager and there was nothing she could do about the noise in the room. The hotel was fully booked. She also told us there was nothing to be done to accommodate us on the porches overlooking the falls. There were simply more of them to please than us. With tax our room for the night was about $400!! There was no apology, no accommodation, nothing. This was how it would be. And so we asked for, and were provided with, a refund. We found another hotel just a few miles away. No falls, but no attitude either.

We left a few items in the room and it was impossible to get the staff to return my calls or texts. Once they did (4th attempt) they were rude and short- no empathy or willingness to help. Won’t be visiting again.
Excellent customer service, stunning views, beautiful rooms and great food. Lots to do in the area.
