My wife and I had another exceptional stay at the Kimpton Maa Lai Bangkok! We've concluded this could be our favorite hotel in the world. They certainly have the world's breakfast buffet...options changed daily and high quality ingredients. My wife was particularly obsessed with the fresh coconut water (served in the coconut) and mango sticky rice. We also enjoyed the pool, fitness center, and great massages at their Amaranth spa. Finally, we can't say enough about the quality of the service...professional, yet friendly in all interactions. They even noticed it was my birthday and we received a surprise birthday cake & balloons. We hope to return soon!

Beautiful hotel with amazing service. No waiting in line to check in. You take a seat and personalized service comes to you, starting with a welcome drink. The room was fabulous. Floor to ceiling windows with great view of the city skyline, very comfortable bed, great lighting, chaise lounge and chair, small dining table with 2 chairs with a bowl of fresh fruit awaiting our arrival. Very quiet/soundproof room and floor.Huge bathroom with free standing tub, separate shower, walk-in closet with drawers, kimono robes, slippers, safe. Bar with refrigerator, snacks, drinks. 4 glass bottles of water are replenished at turndown with a small sweet treat. Concierge is wonderful. We consulted with 4 different people on their staff during our stay and all were great. Incredibly resourceful and helpful. When we purchased a large item that we needed to ship home, they offered to have it packed up for us and helped arrange for UPS pickup at the hotel. Paii spent over one hour working on this and even helped me to complete the shipping form, and Nan helped provide the carton shipping specs. The restaurants are also very good and have the same high level of service. The grounds are serene and the hotel is dog friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel.

As my 4th visit, it is refreshing to always find something new at Kimpton Maa Lai. Room is spacious, and all IHG One Rewards elite benefits are honored here. Front office team are always warm and professional, while the R&B team provides some of the best services in town. Last but not least, big shout out to Ms. Pi-Pi at the reception. She offered efficient check-in, along with tons of personal touches that could not be regulated in SOPs. There are tons of luxury hotels in Bangkok, but it’s team members like Ms. Pi-Pi that made a hotel stay truly memorable.

All of the information regarding the hotel was provided on an A4 sheet of paper including restaurant times, gym times and pool times. I went down to breakfast all the way to the third floor appropriately dressed in tailored shorts and a T-shirt. I wore the slippers provided by the hotel. These apparently are not allowed. Nothing on the information sheet to advise of this. People allowed in in their own slippers and flip-flops but not the hotels. Went all the way back to my room and couldn’t be bothered to go back for breakfast. $450 a night. Stick your breakfast where the sun doesn’t shine.

Location / 10 on 10 rooms / 12 on /10 service 12 on 10 staff 12 on 10 - Grape at reception 20 on /10 - cannot go higher dining rooftop and others 12/10 breakfast is the highlight - cannot score its the best i have had - staff / quality / ambience have travelled and stayed in many 5 star properties - thiswill rank one of the best - pet friendly if u are found of pets just sit in the lobby i will send all my clients to Kimpton from now on - my son was booked at hyatt - now i have to change it to kimpton - IATA AGENT I ALSO GET AGENT RATES hats off / please maintain this high quality of service

We had an exceptional stay here. Every amenity you can imagine needing is available. The breakfast is exceptional, with 100s of fresh dishes from cuisines from all over the world. The pool is gorgeous. The gym is truly fantastic for a hotel gym - it has all the equipment you can imagine, including multiple squat racks, benches, resistance machines, dumbbells to 50kg, kettlebells, resistance bands, etc etc. They provide chilled lemon water and even refrigerated towels. There are also plush lockers with a steam room and dry sauna. The staff are all incredible with very polished and helpful service from every department. The location is OK - it’s tucked away in a fancy little enclave, which means it is quiet, but it is not very close to the main tourist areas. You need to walk 25 minutes to Si Lom, or take a taxi for about 30 minutes (more if traffic is bad) to Old Town or Khao San road. It is about a 20-25 minute walk to the nearest BTS (metro) station too, but they do run a free shuttle with a fair bit of notice until early evening (they ask for 1hr). Taxis though are readily available and inexpensive on apps like Grab - it was about 250-300 baht at the very most for peak journeys all the way into the farthest quarters of the Old Town. Highly highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are super-spacious and quiet, the breakfast buffet is out of this world in terms of choice and quality, the pool area is lovely, the coffee shop downstairs is nice and lively, there‘s sometimes a live band playing, etc. Check-in was very accomodating despite a very early arrival. Overall, 5*. I can only highly recommend to stay at this hotel. Also: They have a complimentary happy hour from 5-6 at the really cool and buzzing roof top bar. Don‘t miss out!

This hotel is exceptional! We stayed for 3 nights flying in from the UK. So pleased we picked here. Nothing was too much trouble, it was true luxury. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful always, the small things make a big difference. The facilities were amazing, from the bars and resturants to the lobby, expresso coffee machine in the room, gym, pool etc etc! The gym weight section had everything and brand new, impeccably clean and not too busy. Gym classes that you can access, we didn't use them but a nice addition. The breakfast is an event all of it's own. I don't think I've ever witnessed one so extensive, it was amazing. We were even given a free mango sticky rice one morning as the staff had recommended it, which was lovely as it was our first taste of this in thailand! We stayed in the serviced apartments which suited us really well. We were on floor 34 which was an exceptional view, there was some building work going on to renovate, but we were well informed of this and all within usual working hours so we did not feel put out by this at all. The washing machine in the serviced apartment was a great addition for us as Bangkok was super humid during our stay. The location of the hotel is wonderful with surrounding green spaces that you don't get in a lot of the rest of Bangkok. Still easily accessible by Skytrain or short taxi ride. If your debating spending the money, JUST DO IT!! You won't regret it.

Perfect hotel - can't fault it. We stayed in the king premium room - the room was perfect - very bright and modern and spotlessly clean. The bathroom is huge, with a luxurious bath and salts. The shower is huge. The bed is very comfortable, room temperature control is good....

The shower is huge. The bed is very comfortable, room temperature control is good. Wifi worked well. The room is very quiet - no noise from anywhere. Lots of water supplied. The cleaners do a perfect job - with night service also done. The hotel facilities and building are very nice. The staff are extremely good and professional and very non-judgemental no matter who the customer - they are really superb. We had breakfast included in the room - the breakfast is fantastic as so much choice no matter what you feel like and after staying for 5 nights we didn't get tried of it. They have a happy hour on the roof top which is nice with free limited drinks and snacks. The location was great for us as it is not too far from the BTS station - 10 minutes walk or can use the shuttle but it is very quiet and feels resort like which is great for Bangkok and this is better than staying on the main part of Sukhumvit which may be handy to shops but is not quiet. The surrounding gardens of hotel are really nice. The shuttle was very useful but only goes hourly which is fine as one can plan ahead and return too but it doesn't go beyond 7pm. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when returning to Bangkok if the price is reasonable - as everything was perfect and it was a very comfortable stay.

This is my second time staying at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. Last time, I stayed here 2 years ago in 2022 I already had a great experience and always wanted to come back. This time my stay is also as pleasant as my first one. I’m also happy to see some of the staff I know from my previous stay. One thing I want to point out is the gym has good Muay Thai classes. My instructor, Nutt, is very good qualified. For those who are beginners and amateur to Muay Thai, the instructor is very encouraging and keen on working on good form. The gym is also well-equipped with a garden view. Breakfast has so much variety and with fine quality! They even can have your Thai tea or coffee to go at the end of your breakfast! The lobby cafe , CRAFT, has scrumptious pastries with a lovely garden seatings. The area around this hotel is quiet and surrounded by embassies of numerous countries. It is only few minutes walking from Lumpini Park. I feel safe to take a walk at the neighborhood even at night time. In short, I highly recommend this hotel.
