Save your money and find a Airbnb . We stayed in unit 29 may 24-26 for our 21st wedding anniversary and it was a disappointment. The resort doesn’t show individual unit pictures so you show up to a surprise. The place needs some attention and updating , it was updated 15 years ago . The resort offers the option to buy a bottle of wine and a four pack of beer , we showed up to a cold bottle of wine and a warm four pack of beer . Nothing like traveling to relax 2 1/2 hrs to have a warm beer and have to go to the store. The bar stool was broken with sharp wood that stabbed you in the ankle, back door doesn’t lock , no sponge to wash dishes, towel hooks falling off the bathroom wall , vertical blinds 😂 , bathroom blinds valance broken just resting on top of blinds , screen on front door hanging off , bathroom faucet knob broken, stewed on backwards , they left dishes in the dishwasher from previous renter . Honestly I was embarrassed I rented the place to celebrate my anniversary for something that was supposed to be special and paid 1300.00 , the place is neglected and honestly an overrated dump . Thx for the good weekend won’t be coming back . The place is more like camp than a resort

A VERY MIXED BAG. CHOOSE WISELY.

A bad experience. We had unit 9 of the 50 or so there (not all are rented). We wanted a "remembrance" two night stay. In the 1980s, we built a unit there which we owned for about 15 years. The units were very nice then. Unfortunately, the unit we picked was directly out of the 80s. Well used and not updated or remodeled. Very grimy and ugly. Turns out that only a few of the units (the ones with not so great views) have been refurbished. So choose wisely...or not at all. The rent seemed overpriced for what was offered. Remember, the rental units are individually owned, so the front desk staff can't do much about issues.
To be fair, the location is beautiful when sitting on the expansive (not all are) balcony. Very peaceful. And the trial along the creek is a beautiful hike. But you can't bring your dog to enjoy. No pets allowed. Bummer.
The restaurant was ok. We were one of two tables there on a Sunday night. Dinner was not remarkable, although the staff were very pleasant.

We have been going to Junipine on and off over the years and generally we have a positive stay. This visit was below the standards of previous years. We were assigned to cabin #41 and it was a mess. There was garbage on the floors, dirty dishes left in the dishwasher had not been cleaned, the refrigerator made a loud ratcheting noise, the couch and chaise were shedding their faux leather. Outside the throw rug was in tatters and there were drink tabs, left over food and debris on the deck, rug and table. The entry lock did not work. No effort to move us to a cleaner cabin.

We stayed in unit 1 with a lovely view of the creek. The unit looks like it has been redone. The floors were like wood and there were 2 new looking comfortable swivel rockers and a fairly comfortable sofa. The direct TV worked well. The kitchen needs upgraded silverware, wine glasses and frying pans. There is no reason to be cheap when you charge so much for a unit. My main complaint was the heat. There was 8 inches of snow on the deck with a wall of windows. It was very cold in the living room up about 3 feet off the floor. Apparently they put in a split heater/ac very high up on the vaulted ceiling wall and turned off the floor heater by the windows. Don't they realize heat rises? The floor unit in the bedroom worked perfectly and that room was warm.
The desk and maintenance staff were very nice and we did get wood delivered for the fireplace every day

We thought we had found OUR place in Oak Creek Canyon in Junipine. This was our second visit here and we even requested the same condo #39. The condos are individually owned. The owners of #39 need to spend some $ making this space worth the price point. Bottom line is the electronics are a mess. We were there on a Sun Mon so for my guy the ability to watch football was a big deal that I had assured him would be possible per the room description.Instead the Direct TV in both rooms offered sporadic service and few channels. After giving up on it we settled in to watch a DvD from home that we had been looking forward to. The player in the bedroom was inop w a non opening DVD cradle. The one in the living room was missing the remote..no the same remote doesnt work for both as they are different manufacturers. We tried to use it manually but reached a point in the process that required the remote. We wasted much time doing all this.My guy was very frustrated. When we called the desk no maintenance guy was there. Also coffee makers are important at Junipine as there are no places to get any and no daytime restaurant on property. The coffee maker was unfortunately a Keurig which we dislike anyway but this was a tiny single cup one which would only allow for a half cup dribble. All around we were not happy w our visit at Junipine and would not recommend or return. Its sad to say because we like to find a good spot and return over and over.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Junipine Resort. Our cozy cabin like unit was situated in the Pines and provided a quiet, relaxing and much needed vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace and the close proximity to hiking and the creek.
Lovely experience, but be aware it is far out of town....lots of extra driving time

Clean, great kitchen available. Cozy setting.
Best attraction for me was having a fire each night and the staff provides the wood nightly.
I am not sure why they call it a resort...more like a condo/time share.
I would not choose this place again as I didn't realize how far out of town it is and annoying to drive back and forth on long windy roads. Especially at night after dinner

Junipine is a lovely resort in an absolutely gorgeous setting. We stayed two nights in one of the Creekside cabins and the view from the patio was magnificent. We loved watching the sun rise and set over the mountains. The room was a generous size for two people and the kitchen had everything we needed. The decor was tasteful and we had a lot of privacy. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful and the restaurant, The Table, had delicious food (try the trout with brussel sprouts if they're on the menu) and friendly service. I only wish the restaurant had been open every day instead of being closed on Mondays and that they could have offered a breakfast menu. Since the resort is a 15 minute driving distance to downtown Sedona, the Table is really the only dining option near the resort so having better hours and breakfast would have greatly enhanced our stay. If you're looking to enjoy the natural beauty of Oak Creek Canyon in a quiet setting with friendly service, decent amenities, and good food (when available), Junipine Resort is a wonderful option. We will definitely be back!
