Reviews of Ikurangi Eco Retreat

What's not to like about Ikurangi Eco Retreat? Absolutely nothing!

Our mountain-view cabin was a true retreat...comfortable bed, kitchen facilities, well-appointed bathroom, and sitting areas (indoor and outdoor). The retreat is located in a very quiet residential area, a 5-minute walk off the main road. The grounds are lovely with a salt water pool and a yoga/workout studio space. Bikes...

Excellent Eco accommodation

Excellent accommodation. The breakfast was awesome. We were really well looked after. We will return. Snorkeling equipment supplied. Probably would need a car, or scooter to around the island from this location. Central to Muri Beach Thank you very much

Refreshing and Relaxing holiday

Lovely breakfasts. Brought to our rooms. The salt water pool was great and refreshing The hotel managers, Vicki and Alan were very friendly, supportive, warm and helpful around orientating us to services in the area, getting a car booking, and tracking my lost suitcase. Bit overpriced but better than a resort!

Overall we have given Ikurangi a "very good" rating or 4/5. We deducted 1 star because: 1) tent appliances and facilities are dated and need replacing (see photo of basins for example). 2) Whilst off the beaten track a little, is not as quiet as promoted. There is a fair...

You will love the Outdoor Bathroom and Tub

We stayed for four nights here. We loved the outdoor bathroom, but hopefully, there were no midnight and dawn rooster crows. The daily breakfasts were different, yummy, fresh, and healthy. Viki and Alan were very kind. Thanks for everything.

A unique and memorable stay in a beautiful eco retreat

We absolutely loved our stay at Ikurangi Eco Retreat. The location was exactly what we wanted - convenient to get the bus / cycle to main areas, but away from the main road and off the beaten track for more of a secluded feel. I grew to enjoy the roosters...
