This time we were upgraded to a Star Prestige Junior Suite on the 4th floor which gave us extra privileges at no extra cost. The view from our balcony was fantastic. It really is a little bit of heaven by the sea.
The staff throughout the hotel are excellent. They all really want you to have a great holiday. As in April, the buffet restaurant offered high quality fare. Delicious!
Swam in the sea in front of the hotel nearly every day. Made use of the local buses and taxis to visit Andraxt & Port Andraxt as well as a day out in wonderful Palma.
A great place to stay! We look forward to another visit.

Food was exquisite (we were half board) and drinks well priced (note they're not included when HB). The Japanese Teppanyaki experience was a particular highlight - definitely worth it. Beds and rooms in general were spacious, comfortable and cleaned thoroughly every day. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and stay in and Iberostar again :)

We shortlisted around 6 hotels when choosing our short Break in October.
Having never stayed in Santa ponsa before We decided to try a new resort and we were drawn to this hotel having stayed in an Iberostar hotels previously we knew their standards were high.
We were greeted on arrival by a lovely lady (sorry I didn’t get your name.!!) You really made us feel very welcome. She offered a glass of cava as we went through all the information we needed to know about the Hotel then shown to our room.
We took advantage of the star prestige upgrade Which allows you to use a different part of the hotel with two beautiful swimming pools, Our hotel room had great views over the sea and the Sun shone throughout the whole day from our room!!!!
The hotel is situated just a little outside of Santa Ponta centre but don’t let that put you off. It’s so peaceful and only a short taxi ride or walk into the centre.
Restaurant food we think is outstanding
There is something for everyone and if you’re a lover of fish, then there’s plenty of fresh prawns and lobster on some nights.
All of the staff are very attentive and friendly and We would like to thank them all for making our little break so special.
I would highly recommend this hotel you’re looking for something very relaxing.
Thanks again
Rebecca & Jon

My wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at the Iberostar, Jardin de Sol Suites. Our room was very comfortable with a splendid view. The buffet food was amazing from the point of view of range, quality and taste. It took us some time to choose from a mouth watering assortment of dishes, many of which were cooked in our presence. The view across the bay provided a splendid backdrop to each meal. There were three pools and we thoroughly enjoyed our bathing experience. The evening and other activities were very good. We enjoyed in particular the tribute to Queen concert, the Cocktail masterclass, the healthy cooking session and the guided tour to Peguera with Carolina who was an excellent Activities leader. Another highlight was the Japanese evening when we were treated to a magnificent Japanese meal. All the staff at the hotel were excellent. They were friendly, cheerful and very helpful. It was as though everyone was determined to ensure that we had a wonderful experience. The people on Reception were particularly helpful as was the lady who cleaned our room whose name I believe is Faith. Thank you all.

Our first impression of the hotel as we entered the reception area was WOW! The view across the bay is amazing and all rooms offer that same sea view. The good news is that everything about this hotel is amazing … all rooms are suites with a separate bedroom, jacuzzi bath, separate shower, tea and coffee making facilities, mini bar and safe plus a balcony where we enjoyed the evening sun.
The food at this hotel is exceptional, especially the choice of seafood. There was a good selection of meats and fresh vegetables plus a variety of vegan dishes and desserts.
The entertainment overall was good, some better than others, but generally it was lively enough to encourage guests onto the dance floor!
The pool area was spacious and (most unusually) never a rush for beds - there were always some available.
Last but not least, the staff … they were all so friendly and efficient that it is difficult to name any one individual.
This was our first visit to the Jardin del Sol and we are already planning to book again for next year!

We stayed here for a week in September. We stayed in a star prestige penthouse. At first, we were indecisive but I must say the upgrade from the premium room to the star prestige penthouse was definitely worth it. You get your own hot tub and you are on a top level which means you have a good amount of privacy compared to the rest of the rooms. The bed was massive and super comfortable. You get access to the star prestige pool areas which felt very nice and quiet compared to the normal pool area. As a penthouse guest, you can dine in a separate area meaning you never have to queue up to get a table in the morning or evening no matter how busy the restaurant/hotel is. The food was excellent, I was very impressed. The location of the hotel is also amazing and you can get to Santa ponsa beach in about 15 minute walk and the rest of the popular areas of Majorca are no longer than 15 minutes by taxi.
The hotel was clean and the staff were amazing. Neide (I hope I'm right about her name, She was a little middle-aged very sweet lady), Atanas and Mohsin looked after us in the restaurant. Zuaina filled up our mini fridge according to what we liked and didn't like bless her. Our housekeeper Badri was very sweet and even tidied our stuff really well. Guiliana was great with her recommendations around the island. Joel and Michaela were not only amazing around the bar but also had awesome photographer skills which we needed lol. Zuzana was also very lovely and had amazing customer skills and made us very comfortable.
A few little things that seemed small but made me happy about our stay were that: One, there was a big beach bag/basket in our room which came in super handy to me personally. Two, every time our towel lady came through, she also brought us some really nice chocolates; and three, they were very generous with the mini fridge items.
The only downside of this hotel is that it doesn't have its own private sandy beach which wasn't a big deal for us anyway, also the entertainment could have been better in the evenings but again we didn't mind it too much as we went out after dinner most nights.
All in all, it was one of our best holidays and we would highly recommend it.

Had a wonderful stay, all the staff are super friendly, reception smells amazing and food is excellent. Rooms could do with a spruce up but the views are incredible. It’s a shame about the German guests, they are rude and don’t know how to queue, it’s quite frustrating.

This was our 5th visit to this stunning hotel. We even received a welcome back gift. No matter where you are situated the views are spectacular, and there is this lovely smell throughout. It was nice to be remembered by some of the staff too who are so helpful and friendly. We were on B/B which is always amazing and lots of choice. We always choose a star prestige hot tub room which are so peaceful. However on this occasion we had some niggles. If this was your first visit these may not be noticed but because of our previous visits, some things we feel need addressing.
The hot tub was not as clean as previous visits, there was sand/dirt at the bottom which was there all week, even after informing the maintenance man.
The mini bar was filled up every other day, not every day as some people are saying.
The main pool was very dirty. The grout was coming out of the tiles and was on the pool floor which did not look good, and the overflow grills were black and dirty.
We noticed on numerous occasions that there was only one person on reception meaning there was long queues, especially if you wanted to book a taxi and someone was checking in, you were waiting ages.
The reserving of sunbeds is definitely not addressed. We saw people leaving towels on the beds for 3/4 hours. It is fine going for lunch and coming back but this was not on at all and nothing was done about this.
And finally my biggest niggle was the amount of pigeons that were actually INSIDE the restaurant. They were under your chairs and walking past your table. These are dirty and full of germs and should not be inside. Maybe this was due to the waitresses dusting crumbs onto the floor. I have a massive massive phobia of birds and was so uncomfortable to a point I missed breakfast some days because I was so nervous and could not relax. Mind you some people did find me quite entertaining!!
I really hope these issues can be addressed so that we can really look forward to visit number 6 because it would be a real shame not to visit this beautiful hotel again.

Recommended by a friend, we came on a 4 night getaway from everyday life and it was absolutely the right choice. We stayed in the standard rooms which are all suites and all facing the sea. Beautiful views of Santa Ponsa bay. The room was spacious, bed so comfortable didn’t use the jacuzzi bath. Minibar free and restocked everyday with beers and soft drinks.
Considered Star prestige and although the pools look beautiful that area was very quiet and we didn’t feel that we missed out on anything as our experience was excellent. As many others have said, the staff are lovely, excellent sunbed service for drinks and bringing round snacks such as ice creams, fresh fruit and smoothies. We never had a problem getting a bed in fact we got the Balinese beds each day we were here. A lot of people did reserve with towels but it wasn’t very busy so didn’t bother us. The main pool is very long which is great if you want to do lengths. Used the gym once which was well equipped but quite small.
It was not as easy as we thought it would be to jump off into the sea but did find an entry down a lot of steps (wouldn’t be easy if you had mobility issues) into a more sheltered bay and really enjoyed a swim in the sea.
Food. Well the food is excellent and of a much higher standard than the majority of AI. Fresh bread, fruit and salad as standard everyday alongside a great selection of Spanish food, meats, cheeses along with themed meals.
Minor downsides: the pool bar food is not included in AI, Santa Ponsa itself is not very nice at all. But that’s it! We took a taxi to Palma one evening to experience some city atmosphere of restaurants and cocktail bars and really enjoyed that.
For the quality of food, drinks, service and setting this place is just gorgeous.
