We stayed in hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento as the first stop in our honeymoon and it certainly set the standards! The hotel’s design and interior is contemporary and stylish and really eye catching once you walk in. The property itself is in a great location with stunning views! The views from the rooftop bar for sunset are beautiful. We used the pool which was lovely and relaxing with great service for food and drinks. We also used the beach club attached to the hotel which you have free entry to as a hotel guest and had an amazing time there! It is a fabulous addition. The room size were average but modern and comfortable beds. The staff were excellent and helped book a cooking class for us which was fantastic. However the highlight has to be the breakfast!! The selection at breakfast was the best we have experienced and the views from the balcony while enjoying your breakfast and more coffee are absolutely breathtaking!! The hotel is a little outside sorrento but there is a complimentary shuttle service to take guests there and back so this is not an issue. Highly recommend We will be back!

Excellent hotel accommodations from front desk the moment you arrive, to everyone you interact with on your stay. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and Hotel Mediterraneo could not have made the stay for perfect. They provided the royal treatment for our every need or want.

Only good things to say but a special mention for the staff needed - they were all friendly and helpful, from front desk to the pool guys, not to forget the breakfast staff as well. Would not hesitate to stay here again. We had one of the garden view rooms with a balcony which had a table and chairs. Yes it was "compact" but you only sleep there so it didn't worry us. The room was well cleaned every day so that was good too. Plenty of choice for breakfast from the buffet and you are able to choose two things from the menu as well (eggs etc ) so you definitely don't go hungry. Thanks and well done to everyone.

We loved EVERYTHING about this hotel - I wish we could go back immediately! The rooms are very accommodating, clean, and modern with comfortable beds/pillows, luxurious toiletries and a well-appointed bathroom. The property grounds and hotel are gorgeous - well designed and fancy, without making you feel uncomfortable or out of place. The food at the restaurants was also incredible - especially the free breakfast every morning. WOW. The spread, including the desserts and mimosas - it surpassed the other three hotel breakfasts we had during our European adventure this year. Everyone in the dining room was marveling over it when we dined there. The shuttle to Sorrento could not be easier to use - make sure to take advantage of it to maximize your time at the hotel or in town! The Vista Sky Bar was also very fun on Sunday night (make reservations if you can to get prime seating!). I just wish we had time to visit their private beach and the spa - I guess we will just have to go back. :) PS - Special shoutout to Aniello, the Front Desk Manager. He was friendly and helpful throughout our stay and had a great sense of humor. He helped return an item that my husband left in the lobby two days prior...He also organized our taxi to Positano with ten minutes notice and made our exit from the hotel as easy as our entrance (even though we didn't want to leave).

Absolutely first class from the staff to the food as well as the service. Wonderful few days in a beautiful hotel 5 minutes drive from the main square. Roof top bar and tranquil swimming pool make this a fabulous couples retreat. We will be back. Thank you

The only negative on the room was the lack of space for hanging clothes and no real drawer space either. The breakfast from the balcony was great, and what a stunning view of the bay. We booked the Sky Bar on our first night and weren't disappointed. The view and atmosphere was amazing. The hotel was in a lovely location, and we used the shuttle bus to get into Sorrento in the evening , rather than a twenty minute walk in hot temperatures. The only negative on the hotel was that the pool guy never enforced the rule of people reserving sunbeds and then walking away. When challenged about it, he just shirked and said it was nothing to do with him. We moved the towels ourselves and used the beds.

The pool and facilities are excellent, location excellent, superb private hotel taxi service to sorrento at zero cost every 30 mins up to 11pm. The private beach area is unbelievable via underground lift. The most perfect element though has to be the excellent team from the cleaning team to hotel staff. Very welcoming throughout the stay, nothing too much trouble and made you feel special. They were the final X factor to a beautiful stay. PERFECTO !

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday. We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Having stayed at many 5 star hotels over the years I can honestly say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The service is second to none. The staff are so warm and welcoming. The views from the hotel were breathtaking. Breakfast was lovely with good choices and again spectacular panoramic views. The star attraction at the hotel would have to be the Vista rooftop bar. From arrival to departure the staff see to your every need they were outstanding. The room wasn’t the biggest but was so beautiful and the balcony with sea view just made my holiday. The shuttle bus is a great bonus running every half hour as taxis in Sorrento are very expensive. We loved the private access to the beach and the fact that there was a section just for guests of the hotel. There is nothing I can fault with this hotel. It was just amazing !

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 7 night bed and breakfast stay at hotel Mediterraneo. We picked this hotel because it looked modern in comparison to a lot of the other hotels in Sorrento, it did not disappoint! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are extremely attentive and friendly, and the food is great too. It’s about a 15 minute walk into the town but we mainly used the shuttle provided by the hotel. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard every day. The only negative would be that the rooms are quite small so there isn’t really anywhere to put your suitcase or move around. The pool area is perfect for relaxing and we had no trouble getting sunbeds. The rooftop bar is also incredible! We booked a table for drinks and watched the sunset which I would definitely recommend.

Probably about a 25 mins walk into town from here. They do have a shuttle bus that runs every 30 mins but we didn't need to use this.

Staff on every level are outstanding, I'd like to name a few but it would be unfair to those we miss mentioning. Best bits for us, were quiet rooms, quality bedlinen, outstanding cleanliness, superb food, exceptional customer care. Every member of staff did their best to discreetly deliver a superb service. The staff here were not just efficient and keen to please they are nice people. Perhaps this is how folk from Sorrento are but we appreciated it. The hotel sits on a headland looking out to sea, it has its own dedicated beach area accessed via the hotel lift, where quality service continues. The breakfast service was high quality, ingredients fresh all the time, the best morning Cappuccino I've ever had. I loved the healthy fruit,herb, and veg drinks, which varied during our stay, along with fresh local pastries. The views over the Bay of Naples to enjoy each morning deliver that holiday feeling day after day. Evening Dining was a treat the chefs are really skilled. A complimentary shuttle service in people carrier runs until late to allow trips to and from Sorrento with ease. The walk into Sorrento is not far but in the heat we appreciated the ride, especially after sightseeing. Sorrento itself is an interesting place, with historical sites, and architecture, to see. Can be very busy at some times during the day. Pompei, Naples and Amalfi coast easily visited, along with boat trips, and we enjoyed an evening with the 3 Tenors. The Isle of Capri with the sun going down viewed from the roof terrace cocktail bar is memorable. The cocktails are not bad either.😆 Once again roof terrace staff made every effort to create drinks to please us along with superb nibbles to watch the sun go down. There are family bars and eateries nearby for those who are interested. We are looking forward to a return visit with friends. Thankyou to everyone at Hotel Mediterraneo.

To add to the perfection, we had an absolute gem of a driver - Americo - spent the day with us touring the entire Amalfi coast. His knowledge and kindness made our trip as special as it could be! Fabulous hotel, experienced a wonderful 3 days in Sorrento and at the hotel. The staff were very attentive and made our stay very enjoyable. From the fabulous breakfast every morning, to the pool, the skyline bar and expecially the day we spent on the water in the hotel's Gozzo with Captain Marco. The room was very nice and the bed was a fabulous respite for busy day in Sorrento. Would highly recommend this hotel and can' wait to return.

Aniello & Pina are the absolute BEST. We have traveled around the world and the service level here is a step above. So much so that we have stayed back to back summers!!

The hotel was extremely well run. We were greeted with champagne as soon as we arrived and given a tour of the lovely facilities. We had drinks at the rooftop bar that night and saw the sunset - gorgeous - and followed that up with dinner at the hotel restaurant...

The breakfast buffet was lovely and offered a large range of options but individual orders could also be made. My husband and I found ourselves at the pool and pool side bar a couple of times - which was nice on hot days in late June. The spa even accommodated my last minute request to fix a manicure gone bad. Our room - 201 - had a small balcony and allowed for a great view of the sea (across the street). My one regret is that we did not take advantage of the beach club across the street. We would recommend this hotel to our friends and family and would be happy to stay here again.

I was fortunate to spend four nights in a Deluxe Sea View with Balcony, overlooking the stunning Gulf of Naples. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and felt instantly at home. Amenities & Dining The amenities are elevated, thoughtful, and often delightfully unexpected. My favorite was the sit-down breakfast that far exceeds typical hotel offerings: • Hot dishes to order: eggs, omelets, pancakes, crispy pancetta, and regional delicacies. • Cold buffet: fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt with all the toppings, Italian cold cuts and cheeses, and indulgent pastries. • Beverage bar: still and sparkling water, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and—my personal favorite—Italian Spumante for mimosas. During the day, guests can relax at the idyllic pool with loungers and cabanas or take advantage of the property’s hidden gem: the La Marinella Beach Club. Final Thoughts Hotel Mediterraneo is truly five-star all the way. From its stunning location and thoughtfully curated amenities to the warmth of its staff and unforgettable dining, it is a destination unto itself. I cannot recommend this property highly enough. While this property is not adults-only, we found families to be respectful and the staff vigilant. I mostly encountered children at the pool. Children are children—but even as I traveled as a couple, they did not disturb my peace.

We flew into Naples and spent 7 nights at the Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento. Words cannot fully express how much we loved our experience. I booked based on other reviews on Trip advisor and was nervous because we have never been to Italy before. Almost immediately a concierge reached out to me with suggestions on a number of activities that we might like and we could pick a choose and they would book everything for us. We did all booking through the hotel and honestly every experience was perfect and felt curated just for us. Check-in - it was easy and done online but we were welcomed with a tour of the lobby and pool area etc, and given all of our booking vouchers, meal reservations etc upon arrival. We got in early at 9:00am so the hotel stored our things while we enjoyed the day by the pool. Room: Beautiful, well appointed with gorgeous views. We had a lower floor sea view with a balcony (Room 103) but honestly you cannot get a bad view in this hotel! The room was a little small but a good size for Europe and we really appreciated the king bed, and all the amenities. It was our 10 year anniversary and the staff left treats, prosecco and fresh OJ in our room. Restaurants: We had breakfast every day on the patio at Vesuvio and it was perfect. There is a buffet but you can also order off the menu and it was included in our package. I have celiac disease and every morning they had a warm gluten-free croissant and cake waiting for me. We also had dinner at Vesuvio and did the tasting menu and it was an incredible experience. From the amazing service to the stunning sunset - I left absolutely mind-blown and it felt like a Michelin starred experience. They also custom curated my menu to ensure it was Gluten Free. We tried everything from Prawns, to Buffalo, to Chicken to an artistic take on zucchini parm. The dessert was a lemon mouse that looked like a hand made tile.... It was the best dessert I have ever had. We had dinner and drinks at Sky Bar and the food and views were incredible. We had the Wagyu Beef and it did not disappoint but the vibe with the music and sunset were just totally stunning. We also had lunch at the pool bar and drinks there as well as in the lobby - it was all so great and so tasty. Note for you Celiacs - after day 2 and a few too many cocktails I did eat Gluten with ZERO side effects. I know it may cause damage but I did not get sick at all and for the rest of the trip I ate more bread, pizza and pasta than I ever could have imagined. Day trips booked through the hotel: Full day boat trip to Positano, Amalphi and with snorkelling stops. There were 10 of us on the boat and it was incredible. It is so much faster to sight see on the water vs. driving and we really got to see everything on the Amalphi Coast! Highly Recommend as a must. Half Day Gastronic Tour - we went in to Schiazzano Town and toured a local lemon farm (also full produce and olives) and we tasted 10 different olive oils made on site, we watched how they make their cheese (all organic and certified DOP) and then we went to their local restaurant to make Pizza. Elsa our guide felt like family. This is a small organic family town / farm that has been there since the 1300's and been in business for 300 years. I was not excited for this trip but it ended up being one of my favourite days. Full day Pompeii and Wine Tasting Pompeii was good but what I expected and the wine tasting was incredible - we ended up shipping cases home. All the wine is organic and delicious but the tasting was done family style with our tour group at a table under these grade vines and it felt like magic. The food - charcuterie and pasta and dessert was also out of this world. Beach Club: A big bonus of this hotel is direct access to the beach club included which would have been expensive otherwise. We also got to sit in an upgraded area and had service for food and drinks right to our chairs. It was great! We did this twice. Pool: Clean, relaxing and quiet - excellent service as well. Airport Shuttle: We booked a private car through the hotel and it was easy and great. Shuttle into Sorrento: The hotel offers a free shuttle into Sorrento otherwise its a 22 minute walk which we did do once but in the August heat was a bit much. We used the shuttle often and it was clean, consistent and always right on time. This saved a lot of money because we met people from other hotels near by and they said it was 25-30 Euros for a taxi. I know this review is long, but I wanted to make sure the staff at the hotel truely know how grateful we were to them. This was one of the best weeks we have ever had and we travel 2-3 times per year. We will be back and we couldn't stay anywhere else!
