The most AMAZING hotel we have ever stayed. Outstanding location that was just far enough out of town, but still connected. Beautiful staff, amazing restaurant and access to a private beach (free of charge). This hotel is an absolute must - the best value for money.

What a wonderful experience. We were truly made to feel special and welcome to be here. The staff is amazing. A few that made our trip extra special were Paolo (the first to greet us and truly made us feel welcome then and throughout our stay), Cheero, Anna, Dario. There was an older lady at breakfast whose name I can’t remember that always greeted us with a smile. I also forgot to write down the name of the bartender but we really enjoyed chatting with him in the evenings. We ate breakfast, a lunch and a dinner here and enjoyed each meal. The views are drop dead gorgeous. Paolo gave us great recommendations up and down the coast as we had rented a scooter. Yes they are known for weddings (had 2 while we were there) but we loved the vibe and festiveness these events brought and did not see it as a deterrent. The beach access is nice but yes-LOTS of stairs. I highly recommend booking here!

The buffet breakfast was lovely and iwe had it on the terrace overlooking the bay . We went in the hotel infinity pool although it was a bit chilly we loved it . We went down the steps and swam in the sea which was great the steps up were abit more challenging but the experience was worth it

My fiancé and I hosted our wedding here on 10/10/24. To begin, the hotel was situated one of the best locations in Positano that gave a perfect view of the town and sea. It was a close 5-10 minute walk down to the main beach area. All the rooms (including our Honeymoon Suite) was all very nice and comes with a breath taking view. The service was impeccable: from the doorman to the receptionist to the servers to the cleaners...they were all very nice and considerate. The hotel event planner-Antonella was great to make sure everything worked out for us the day of the wedding. Salvatore, ensure all the beautiful and delicious food came our perfectly and accommodated any allergy or restrictions easily. All of the staff during the wedding knew exactly what to do and when; they were truly a standout. The bartender Pietro made the best cocktails. We truly had a wonderful time and it was an unforgettable event for our friends and family. We look forward to going back and celebrating our anniversary here!

Hotel location was a bit of a hike from the ferry but the view and getting away from the crowds makes it worth it. Room was very clean and comfortable. We were upgraded to an amazing balcony room with our own terrace. Paolo at the front desk was awesome. Very helpful with suggestions, directions, and arranging porter services. Pool was a little chilly but that area and the view was very nice. We used the beach club daily. Having this option makes this one of the best hotel options in Positano. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel as part of our visit to the amalfi coast! We chose this hotel purely based on location. But we got much more! From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. Our room exceeded our expectations, we checked into the executive suite. The bedroom was a good size with a separate lounge. The infinity pool and sunlounging areas have the famous Positano view. The loungers are pristine and comfortable. The hotel has a large private beach club area which is also gorgeous. Breakfast was excellent and the waiting staff were attentive. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. A special mention to Paulo on reception who spent time to provide us with local knowledge of our onwards journey to sorrento. We will definitely be back

There are some really wonderful things about this hotel but some improvements could be made to make the stay more comfortable. The good stuff - the views from the complimentary breakfast (and we had dinner at the restaurant too which I would recommend) are incredible. Check-in went smoothly and we were offered a welcome drink. Paolo at the front desk was incredibly helpful on several occasions - he spent extra time with us to help us navigate our way to the Path of the Gods hike and gave us some great recommendations for our trip to Amalfi/Ravello and for dinner in Positano. He definitely made us feel welcome. The beach club is one of the reasons we chose this hotel and it is very convenient to not to have to leave the property and make reservations/ pay for a beach club. Also, their chairs area is basically sharing space with one of the nicest beach clubs in Positano, so that is a plus. Be warned though that is about 250 steps down (and then of course back up) to the beach and not much they can do about that, but it can be quite exhausting even if you are in really good shape! The areas for improvement - our room did not get cool enough - the air struggled to get below 22.5 degrees, and our refrigerator did not work. We asked for ice a few times for our water/wine and it either took a really long time to come, or on one occasion was never delivered. The standard room was pretty small and there was no drawer space / shower was tiny and views minimal so I would probably upgrade next time. Lastly, we were only at the hotel for 2.5 days and had one afternoon planned to spend a decent amount of time at the beach club. We didn't learn until it was time to go down that the space had been rented out for a wedding and was not available that day. The pool guy told us when we were on our way down - no other notification prior to that. They did set us up with chairs/towel at the beach area on Spiagga Grande next to the hotel but there was no food/drink service available over there and it was inconvenient to say the least and not as nice as the hotel's space, so that was disappointing given we picked this hotel for their private beach.

Marincanto was an amazing hotel in the perfect location. Starting with an amazing view from our room, great breakfast, convenient and clean pool/beach. Special thanks to the amazing staff - especially Paulo who went out of his way to give us great recommendations not only for Positano but for our next trip destination (sorrento)! We’ll be back in the future for sure.

My husband and I came here for a night to see Positano. We loved it and would recommend to anyone! It’s well worth the price- very nice hotel and amazing view. We also loved to service. Paolo at the front desk was wonderful and very friendly. 10/10!

We loved everything about our 2 days stay at the Marincanto. The views are breathtaking, the pool a definitive must during July in Italy. The breakfast selection was by far the best we had in terms of quality and selection during our entire time in Italy. The service was top notch. Just be prepared for all of the steps in Positano and call the hotel in advance and arrange for the porter to bring your luggage. You may think it is only a 15 min walk and doable but uphill in 38'C heat is gruelling.

We stayed at the Marincanto in late June/early July 2024. My wife and I decided to take a romantic trip. WE CHOSE WELL. Literally, this is now our favorite hotel in the world. First of all, the room was large, clean, bright, and had comfortable chairs, a good shower with high quality bath products, and a large bed. The pool was perched on a cliff overlooking the sea. The hotel has a semi-private beach, a private sunbathing area with umbrellas and lounge chairs, and two excellent restaurants. Breakfast was luxurious, on a beautiful terrace also overlooking the sea. The location was convenient to shopping, dining, nightlife and attractions. But all of this pales in comparison to the exceptional staff. Natalie, Paolo and Pietro seemed to truly care about us having a great vacation. Natalie checked us in and seemed to take personal responsibility for helping us plan, get reservations, and do everything we wanted to do on our trip. Paolo followed up on reservations for us and also booked our ferry tickets to Capri. Pietro is the lobby bartender and really embodies hospitality. We're now planning to come back here with our friends and family to do a vow renewal. You can trust the staff to give you excellent recommendations while you are here.

We really loved our stay at Hotel Marincanto. This hotel was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed here on her honeymoon, and we were similarly pleased. My first piece of advice is to not arrive by the public ferry. We were coming from Sorrento and figured €20 to ride a half an hour ferry would be a good choice. However we did not anticipate that the ferry would actually take two hours and when we got to Positano, it would be absolute chaos and there were no porters available so we had to climb 30 flights of stairs luckily only with our carry-on, but still we arrived at the hotel a sweaty mess this is where the review starts to get better. A wonderful gentleman named Paulo saved the day by giving us an awesome upgrade having a seafront terrace that was private and luxurious. There were two loungers and a full table, and an excellent view of the town Square. The room was huge. In fact, too big and potentially a waste of space given the bathroom was small. The television didn’t work, but that is OK we were not in Positano to watch TV. The restaurant that is situated on the main terrace of the hotel is wonderful and the breakfast is very fresh. We had lunch here as well and the cocktails are handcrafted by an artisanal bartender that puts a lot of attention into making the cocktails delicious. The people working here are very kind and very Hospitable. Was not apparent to me that the beach club here was included so we booked a beach club at Daphne and Nando’s which was really awesome but a 20 minute walk both downhill and uphill to get to. The one downfall of the property is that there is no lift from the beach so you will definitely be getting your exercise and earning your spritz after climbing up from the beach. The views are stunning, and you won’t believe that you were there. I kept pinching myself at this was where we got to stay.

We did enjoy our stay at the hotel - the view, breakfast buffet at the terrace with the views, the sun deck, evening the chilly swimming pool. The room was very very nice with a jacuzzi - we enjoyed it a lot. The service however was not a 5 star hotel but pleasant, except the pool area. The guy serving there was mixing up the ordered drinks and generally behaving arrogant. Not nice.

My stay at hotel marincanto has left me speechless. The entire staff exceeded all expectations and went above and beyond to make us feel so cared for and special. Paulo and the rest of the front desk staff ensured our stay was perfect. He had great dinner recommendations as well as best practices for navigating Positano. The cleaning staff always left our room spotless as well. I have been in contact with Antonella for over a year to discuss having a wedding at the hotel. She always answered promptly and answered every single question, even the silly ones!! Her recommendations for vendors were perfect and I knew with her help our wedding would be what we dreamed of. She is even more incredible in person and felt like her best friend when I met her. Upon arriving at the hotel the first day, staff immediately took our bags for us and delivered it to our room. The concierge was able to book taxis for us, and make a last minute reservation for dinner. Never once did we feel stressed, we knew we were in good hands. Breakfast was amazing, they have an incredible spread as well as delicious coffee. The restaurant in the hotel is also fantastic for dinner, I had the 5-course meal and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The waiting staff was so kind and attentive as well. I loved how close we were to restaurants and shops! I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and family not only for the hotel but for the sweet and kind staff who made our trip so memorable.

We loved our time at Hotel Marincanto. Not only does it have the most beautiful view in the city, but the staff and concierge were so helpful, nice, and accommodating. This was our first time traveling to Europe (we are from the U.S.). So, all of the planning was intimidating to me, but the Hotel helped with my many questions prior to our arrival, arranged for our transportation to and from the airport, gave us great recommendations, and even packed us breakfast (to go) when our flight left prior to the breakfast time. They promptly responded to all of my emails and questions. They went above and beyond. The hotel is very beautiful too, and there is direct access to the beach from the hotel, which was a major factor for our booking. We would definitely stay here again.

We choosed the hotel for the honeymoon trip. It is a romantic build and we are are very glad tofind it. The staff and more the management were very nice/ just some parts need renovation. I recomment for couple stay
