Hotel Malte – Astotel

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel room was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The snacks and refreshments which are available throughout the afternoon and evening are a lovely touch and very welcome.

We stayed at Hotel Malte from 27 Feb 2025 to 2 Mar 2025 in room 406. We had a very positive experience. Room was well lit, comfortable, with quite a few amenities. Bar items were included, adequate clothes hangers, spacious bathroom, warm shower and functioning heating in both bedroom and bathroom. Highlight: snacks and beverages from 2pm to 2am. This won us over. It is a delight to return to the hotel from a day of exploring the city, to find snacks, warm and cold beverages waiting for you! Well done to the entire team at reception, housekeeping, restaurant who are doing a fantastic job at keeping up this fantastic service!

This hotel is too good to be true. The service, amenities and location is all wonderful. The hotel room was a little on the “low” ceiling side. But the room, bathroom, layout and services were best I have experienced for a city hotel. Wins. Location. - 5 min walk from the Louvre. Rooms - clean and have fridge and complimentary soft drinks refreshed daily. Complimentary “nibbles” bar- this is an injustice saying nibbles …. daily cakes, biscuits, crisps, coffees, soft drinks, water, croissants etc… this is such a wonderful offering. The ability to use any of their 17 group hotels to stop at and have a complimentary coffee, or a needed toilet break etc. Service - every member of staff wants to help and improve quality of your stay. No one is looking for tips. This was not a cheap hotel by any means - but ultimately worth paying the extra. Highly recommend.

We found this gem of a hotel last year and when we booked another trip to Paris, it was a given that we would stay here again. Everything about this spot is near perfection. The room is clean and well appointed. The linens and towels are above average. The breakfast is the perfect way to start your day. The staff is attentive but not intrusive. They provide a perfect stay. I am so thankful for the staff and all the care they show guests. We will most definitely be back.

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. All of the staff (at check-in, at breakfast, housekeeping) were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was spotless and spacious (we were given an upgrade), the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was a very filling continental buffet. We had been to Paris several times before but had never stayed in this area. The hotel location is great with lots of cafes, shops and restaurants nearby. Closest metro is approx 600 metres away. Very convenient for walking to the Louvre; Musée d’Orsay is about a 20 minute walk away.

We were able to shower and change clothes before heading out to the City which made a huge difference for us after traveling all night. The room was small but clean and comfortable which is all we need when traveling. I love European breakfasts and this was a very good one with a wide assortment of food and drink. We are well traveled but still were surprised when the “bar” that is advertised as being open from 14:00-02:00 is actually just free juice and waters. While that is a nice option, it is a bit frustrating if you simply want a beer or glass of wine before bed, not understanding the difference. That may simply be a cultural difference but was one that we did not realize when booking. Otherwise, there are no complaints and we would recommend and stay again.

There are free snacks each day from 2pm in the lobby, and the staff are very nice and professional. Easy 5/5.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in April and greatly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly, able to talk to us in English and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The location was good, with the Louvre being only a short walk away. The room was perfect to our needs, the breakfast and the afternoon snacks and coffee were very good, with a lot of variety and frequently refreshed. We would definitely look to stay here again the next time we visit Paris.

The hotel experience is exactly what every traveller, especially from the US, needs when visiting Paris. The team is extremely patient and helpful, whether or not you attempt to converse in broken French. The premises are immaculately clean. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are bright and well accessorized. The breakfast buffet is ample and varied (although maybe a little more fresh fruit could be offered--but perhaps that is seasonal). The 2 pm-2am snack and drink offering is a very nice touch (again--perhaps some fresh fruit and vegetables for nibbling would be a good addition). Location is within walking distance of several major sites and to the metro (use it--it is easy to master with a navigo card). Currently, there is quite a bit of road construction in the area, but that means you have less chance of being knocked off by crazy Paris traffic!

Once again great hotel and super service. Second time we stayed here. Staff was exceptional. Room was small but comfortable with all needed amenities. Breakfast and snack area is fantastic. And great location. Our go to when in Paris. And highly recommend

Excellent location for visiting the sites of Paris! A very good breakfast, wonderful and helpful reception staff, a generous snack offering in the late afternoon and a clean room. We were surprised to be upgraded for our room as well. The only downside was construction going on nearby.

Hotel was perfect. Great location, reasonable price, the staff was very accommodating. Highly recommend. There are several locations throughout the city that allow you to pop in and use the mini bar that has snacks and drinks which is a huge plus when exploring.
