We were booked at the Grand Victorian as part of a timeshare presentation deal from Wyndham. So it wasn’t really our choice and I can’t tell you how good a deal it really is. If I had to offer a comparison to a major chain, I would say it most closely matches a Clarion – an older hotel that has been refurbished but occasionally shows its age. That’s not a necessarily a bad thing, but it’s useful to know going in.
The Grand Victorian is located on the main 76 Country Blvd in Branson. The road follows the ridgeline, so most properties sit below the road. That can make it difficult to get in and out of the parking lot, but you can solve that problem by using the entrance at Denny’s. Parking in front of the hotel is limited, but there is additional parking behind. Fortunately, we stayed out of season, so we could park in front. The building itself is a 5-story hotel with ersatz gables. Nice looking from the outside.
There’s a spacious lobby (on the 2nd floor, which is the highway-side entrance), decorated in a teddy bear theme, leading back to a large breakfast area. There is also the Victorian parlor on the 3rd floor, although the décor doesn’t really say “Victorian” to me. The rooms are standard-size hotel rooms, with the addition of a very small balcony. We were assigned a room with two double beds, which made it a bit cramped. The beds were reasonably comfortable, and the bedding was clean. The bathroom is quite small, although the sink and vanity are in the entryway. I noticed some stained acoustical tiles in the bathroom, which is also a sign of an older hotel. There is adequate drawer space and a large wardrobe for hanging clothes. Wifi access was good, but not secure, so I’d recommend using a VPN.
The Grand Victorian offers a standard hot breakfast. Very typical offerings- scrambled eggs, ham, biscuits & gravy, waffles, toast, muffins, & cereal, a few cold offerings. Plus coffee and juice, but no tea. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, but nothing stood out from the typical offering. Be aware that they keep the TV in the breakfast room on NewsMax. They do have an afternoon tea and cookies, but when we were there, they just set out the cookies in a box. The breakfast area was spacious enough when we were there, but it could get cramped in high season.
They have an indoor pool and hot tub. It was quite busy on Saturday night. But it wasn’t at all busy when we were there on Sunday afternoon. The hot tub was very clean and well-maintained.
Service was good. Some of the front desk staff are more friendly than others but everyone was polite. Daily servicing of the room is a thing of the past, but we had plenty of towels for our 3-night stay.
All in all, I’d rate the Grand Victorian as slightly above average. It is certainly a good place to stay, with easy access to all of Branson’s attractions. The hotel is not fancy, but is clean and more than adequate for a short stay.

This will be our go to place to stay when we visit Branson.

The staff was amazing and the rooms comfortable. The price of our stay was very reasonable and we will be back again. The location was good and the amenities such as a hot breakfast and even English tea in the afternoon. We enjoyed our stay very much.

From the street it looks like a great place to stay. But from the moment we walked in the front door, we were disappointed. First off, there were two men working the front desk, 1 working, 1 scrolling through his phone. The working man told me the other man could help me get checked in, so I moved to his window. The scrolling man never looked up or noticed I was standing there. Eventually the worker said his name and pointed to me. The scroller came to me, asked for an ID and credit card. He got us checked in, told us breakfast times and pointed us in the direction of the elevators and our room. When we came back in with our luggage, he was back to scrolling on his phone.
We got to our room, and were surprised how small it was. The balcony is just big enough for the 2 chairs. In the bathroom, the toilet sits right next to the tub and if you try to shut the door while on the toilet, the door will wack your knees. The worst part was finding a wet washcloth hanging over the shower curtain rod when I got in to take a shower. That tells me the bathroom was not cleaned well.
Breakfast is the same as any hotel breakfast, yogurt, cottage cheese, red potatoes, eggs, sausage. Make your own waffles, toast, fruit, juice and coffee. It is disguised as a buffet with real plates and silverware. There are people to “wait” on you, picking up dirty dishes. Carmen was one of these people and she was great. She was friendly and chatty. The room is small and with all the tour groups staying here, it was packed with people. Bring your patience, you will need it.
My final opinion is this hotel is not worth $200 night. We will not return for another visit.

Excellent hotel. Accommodations, amenities and service were great! Only word of caution is that there is construction going on the street side of the hotel, so jack hammering at 0730 was unexpected. However, staff moved us to the back after night one. I'd suggest asking from back when checking in
Stayed at the executive suite.
The room was nice, breakfast was not so nice it was the basic buffet style but the food was not great today. The balcony and separate room in the suite was different like an afterthought. Not saying it was bad just off season so maybe it was just a bad...

This was our 30th visit in the past 23 years as some years we manage to sneak away more than once. Always friendly staff - especially at check-in. Rooms have been updated in the past few years adding to the overall cleanliness. Great location right on the strip. Within walking distance to the outlet mall if you can manage the steep hill on the way back! Both indoor and outdoor pool areas clean. Breakfast is average for hotel price range. This location is actually a bus stop for tour groups so expect more mature groups traveling together with a few families staying. Pet friendly for those that require, and pet rooms are located in one area for those who do not. I have no other hotel to compare to as we have never bothered to look any further. We always request upper floor room with balcony facing the rear (small mountain view) and have always accommodated.

We stayed 3 nights. We booked with a 3-night discount on the hotel website, making the price very reasonable. Our room was on the 5th floor in back, with a balcony. No housekeeping when we visited, but that is ok. They provide a door hanger and you mark on it what you need in your room and they deliver it promptly. They pick up trash and used towels outside your door daily. The room was nice and clean. The shower was amazing! Water temp and pressure were great. I miss it! Hotel was quiet on the 5th floor. It is pet friendly and they must group pets on the first floor. Breakfast room is nicely decorated. Food is good. Definitely would stay here again!

When we checked in they didn’t have my balcony room even though they had lots available! Our room smelled like mildew or puck! They moved us to a different room on the 2nd day after checkouts and still could not accommodate our balcony room. Never going back!!!!

We have a small, well behaved dog. Since we were only staying for a few days, we were limited on where we could stay. I chose this location based on reviews.
We were put on the first floor because we had a pet. Walking down the hall, I felt we were staying the night at a dog pound. The smell was overwhelming, and not in a good way. As we entered our room we were both shocked at the chemical smell from whatever "cleaner" they used. Within 10 minutes, I had a headache and went and sat in the car for over two hours. My husband also came out with a headache. It was almost 10 pm and my husband went to the front desk to ask to be moved. The young man told him they were sold out and couldn't move us. My husband continued to explain we were getting sick from staying in that room and insisted on being moved. His suggestion was to open the door and windows and sleep like that. I don't think so! Suddenly he was able to move us. The next room was not much better. It did smell better but the curtains were coming down, Dusty, not clean. Noisy. Tried talking to front desk again the next day. They just didn't seem to care. Too expensive for what we got.
