Better if weather would have been better. Did have a problem with them thinking we had used something from the fridge. (Did not, but there had been an empty space there). Balcony was lovely though it rained most of our two nights there and did not get to enjoy it.
Service in the breakfast room was excellent - the young lady we had both mornings, was so nice, and kept everyone happy.

This is a large hotel, built into the hillside will all rooms having a view of the adriatic. it is located just a few miles outside of the walled old town. The rooms were very spacious and offered a large balcony overlooking the water. The indoor pool was large, and had 2 hot tubs as well. Breakfast buffet was included and it had an expansive selection. The very convenient thing was the shuttle into old town stopping right outside of the front of the hotel, so it was very easy to get into town. There was a nice promenade not far from the hotel that followed the coastline that you could walk on. I would stay here again. It was a good value for the money and very clean.

We used the hotel transport to pick us up at the port which worked very smoothly albeit pricey! Mario was the driver who gave us a quick intro en route to the hotel. We then had Mario to drive us to Montenegro and Mostar on future days and he was excellent….knowledgeable, friendly, smooth driver, and spoke excellent English. We booked a local Mostar guide for our Mostar tour through the hotel, for “up to 90 minutes”. She was knowledgeable and spoke good English, but the tour only lasted 45 minutes despite us asking many questions and at 100 Euros it was not cheap for the duration given.
Hotel check in was effortless, and the room was a superior sea view as booked. Not a big room, but well equipped including a safe, although the safe is not bolted in which is not great in my opinion. Also, the vanity products were limited for a 5* hotel, but were available on the cleaning trolleys upon request.
Sea view was great from the 5th floor, but there are trees which could block the view if you are unlucky.
A 10 minute walk to excellent local restaurants. The number 4 bus terminates at the hotel, with the other end of the route being at the Old Town. Very convenient and less than 2 Euros each way and it takes 15 minutes.
Pool was a bit chilly but jacuzzi was great.
Plenty of eating options. Substantial international excellent buffet options for breakfast to suit everyone. Restaurant by the pool for light lunch and dinner, where the service was top notch and sea bass was excellent.
Usual pool bar and great cocktail choices.
Overall a great experience.

Wonderful location as the rooms are right on the seafront with spacious balconies overlooking the sea. The hotel is out on a limb but the views are beautiful.
The staff were very professional and friendly. Particular mentions to Mariana and Martina.
Mariana fronts the hotel restaurant with charm and humour. She welcomes everyone and worked every morning and the two evenings we had dinner. She is a big asset and does a tricky job well.
Martina is equally welcoming and was excellent when we had a slight hitch. Another asset.
The hotel is soulless in that there is no atmosphere in the bars or lounges. It seemed to be a typical business hotel. We braved the coldness (atmosphere, not weather) of the hotel bar near reception on our final night (rainy outside). The piano player needs replacing, since she seemed to have no desire to be there.
The hotel has a bus service every fifteen I’m utes into the old town ( it is a 50 minute walk downhill and a heart attack waiting to happen on the uphill walk back). The bus costs €2.50 one way and takes 10 minutes. But get your body armour on at the old town when you return. It’s a major scrum…. English polite queuing will be of no use.
The food for breakfast buffet was extensive and OK on the whole. The evening dinners we had when the weather was bad were extremely good. The chef cooks fish to order if you ask him.
On the whole this is a good place to stay.

I don't understand the recent poor reviews on here as we had a truly positive experience. We stayed for a week in one of the superior double rooms. It was very spacious, clean and had a good-sized balcony. Breakfast was lovely (a buffet with a mix of hot food, cereals, porridge, pancakes, yoghurts, pastries, cheese and meat) and the staff were all excellent. We checked in late (gone 10pm) and the staff brought dinner to our room, which was a lovely touch. We agree that drinks are expensive but Dubrovnik is quite expensive in general and this shouldn't put you off.
The spa was clean, spacious and calm. A great getaway if the sun gets too hot to sit by the outdoor pool. Their were always staff around for any help if needed. We didn't use the outdoor pool but did have a few dips in the sea. There are plenty of sunbeds and we personally didn't find it too crowded.
The bus to the Old Town is right outside the door and runs every 15 minutes - very convenient. Otherwise, it's an easy 50 minute walk. Ubers are also a cheap option.
Our flight wasn't until the evening on the day we left and the hotel stored our luggage and let us use the facilities for the day - this made our last day nice and relaxing.
Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing stay and wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights for our 10th wedding anniversary. Given the occasion we wanted some luxury, and we definitely got it.
The location is a bit far out from old town and even Lapad is 10-15 minute walk, but a small compromise for the views. We used bolt to get around and with 2 of us wasn’t that much more than the bus that comes right up to the hotel.
We ate at the restaurant on arrival, and the food was great.
The room is compact, but big enough for 2. The balcony is a good size. Breakfast is decent and good service.
The pool area is nice and has some rocky beaches to explore too.
The only downside is the prices. Seems the same in most places in Dubrovnik, but I think the prices for drinks etc could be 20-25% less. 10 euros for a local draught beer by the pool for example. I know might not be an issue for everyone, but we do enjoy a few drinks by the pool, so made an expensive few hours - top tip, get a few beers from the shop and go sit on the rocks - that was amazing.
Overall an amazing hotel though!

Hotel Dubrovnik Palace is NOT a 5 star hotel. This was at best a 3 star accommodation. Do not be fooled!
The hallways look dirty and the breakfast has a terrible odor. It’s a hotel for the masses, not intimate at all. When we were there, there were many group tours. Definitely not worth the money. It’s not convenient to Old Town. Although the bus picks up and drops off from the hotel, the bus is very crowded on the return (hard to get a seat, let alone, on the bus and we had go take Ubers back. The hotel needs a major renovation. It is stuck back
in the 80’s. The website is misleading, you think you are staying at a luxury hotel, this is by no means luxury.

No welcome on arrival and no information. Booked a week of hopefully chill and a relax, but no such luck. Junior Suite was dark and uncomfortable. View from small balcony lovely. Cleaning morning only and not good. Dirty bath on arrival
Sunset bar open with lobby area and very bland, cold and unfriendly.
Did not see the gym or spa but was told spa needed a refresh as not in good shape.
Pool bar service hardly at all. Pool small with cramped 40 beds and two concrete terraces with about another 25 beds. Overcrowded most days with conference people and very loud. The sunbeds and chairs had no cushions and you had to get your own towels and put your own umbrella up if you could find a space which was not very often.
Sea area roped off for swimming, entry by slippery metal steps, sea for swimmers as bolders in sea very slimy and slippery for resting. After one day's storm saw sewage on service probably from the multiple cruise ships and boats going to nearby Port.
Although breakfast included we avoided as other people advised it was buffet and not good.
Food was terrible, buffet 30 euro's each in the evening and queue/self service. Witnessed hot food put on cold dried up food from earlier so couldn't eat and walked out.
Room service took forever, it arrived cold, some not cooked.
Lunch cafe good food for salads and pizza's. Maslina restaurant very good, small and booking needed but it is expensive.
Sitting on 8th floor balcony one morning and to my surprise a gardener with a leaf blower walked along the 18 inch ledge with no safety right in front of me with no warning.
Bus and Taxi service good, bus terminal of sorts right outside hotel.
Check out was nightmare I needed to leave early but a storm prevented one day but still left 2 days early. Hotel refused any refund as I had already paid in advance. They were relunctant to call a taxi and told me the hotel cars must be prebooked and were not available.
ALL IN ALL IT WAS JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE.
Croatia is so beautiful so please choose a hotel where private guests come first and not conferences or wedding venue's.
Old Town was very crowded even though no cruise ships that day usually around 3-5 on certain days. Food very much the same in all cafe's and expensive compared to at home.

This is a fantastic place to stay when visiting Dubrovnik. First the obvious, the pool/beach area with its views of the islands is great, and it is very nice to bathe in the sea from the steps they have carved into the rock, which is a nice alternative to getting sand all over me at a beach.
Our room was wonderful, the beds were very comfortable and we had amazing views.
We had a rental car, and the parking offered here was a huge plus.
The staff is amazing. Unfortunately, my wife was not feeling well when we arrived, and she ended up testing positive for covid. At this point, we did not want to get anyone else sick, so I slept on the sofa pull-out, and we stuck to ordering room service. When it came time for breakfast, I ate at the restaurant and they let me carry up a plate for my wife. When I called the front desk to ask about nearby pharmacies, they even offered to send some tea up to the room, which was super nice of them. Everyone was incredibly helpful.
I did take some time to explore the Dubrovnik city walls, which is only a 15 minute bus ride away. I recommend getting the 7:35 bus so you can arrive at the city walls 10 minutes before they open at 8:00.
We would definitely stay here again, it is highly recommended!

We have just returned from a week's holiday at Dubrovnik Palace and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is second to none with superb views across the Adriatic Sea. Hotel room was absolutely fine and excellent housekeeping throughout the hotel. Visiting Dubrovnik is very easy with the number 4 bus parked outside the hotel and is just 5 euro return. If you enjoy swimming the sea temperature was wonderful and there is also a choice of pools. Sunbeds were plentiful even though a few conferences were taking place during our holiday. We had chosen the half board option and the food was fine, a cheerful chef, good selection and lovely view watching the sunset. Overall, we had a 5 star experience and hopefully will return again in the future.

The location of this hotel is second to none, it is the perfect place for a relaxing break away, the sun terraces on the waterfront are ideal to just sit, relax and watch the boats sail by.
The hotel itself has all the amenities you would expect, it is clean and comfortable.
The pool and pool bar are well maintained.
The Front Office/Breakfast and Dinner Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The only reason it is not 5* review is that the rooms need a little attention, the wallpaper was poorly finished and the draining pipe for the aircon was cut short causing water to pool on our balcony which did attract flies and mosquitos.
