This is a very small quaint hotel with a friendly staff and comfortable rooms. The location is outside the hustle bustle of the “city”, but a very short drive to the center of it. There are also some nice restaurants just a short walk from it. The pool is great as is the free breakfast and other amenities. We stayed with another couple that had their own room, but our 2 floor room with a living room area and patio let us host them which was nice.

This a very charming renovation of a 50s or 60s motel. Our room was super cute, clean, and right by the lovely pool area. Lots of amenities, a great continental breakfast, comfortable places to sit in the charming outdoor area. Very relaxing vibe. The staff were really great and accomodating....

I felt I needed to write an honest review of Hotel California after seeing SO many 5-star reviews. I wouldn't give 5 stars... a solid 4-stars, however. This hotel is a bit dated, but the rooms are updated. The walls are pretty thin, and the linens/comfort materials in the room...

I felt I needed to write an honest review of Hotel California after seeing SO many 5-star reviews. I wouldn't give 5 stars... a solid 4-stars, however. This hotel is a bit dated, but the rooms are updated. The walls are pretty thin, and the linens/comfort materials in the room are not first class. We were woken up very late by loud stomping above us from the couple settling into their room after a night out. We could hear the man in the room next to us sneezing very loudly... not muffled like a sneeze in the distance, like someone sneezing next to me on the train. The staff was amazing. The area is walkable and nice. The hotel itself is very cute and charming.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff is amazing and provides drinks on arrival. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely stocked with complimentary snacks and drinks. Lounge where you can get morning coffee and a variety of breakfast items. The grounds are lovely and inviting!

Welcoming and relaxing week. Staff is great and makes you feel right at home. Loved the morning breakfast and afternoon popcorn. Bicycles on site was very convenient. Late evening hot tub was great. This was our first trip to Palm Springs, and we will definitely return.

Two weeks at my favorite hotel in Palm Springs! We were there for the Palm Springs Film Festival and were lucky enough to score our favorite room, The Casita. It's a wonderful bungalow with the added benefit of all the amenities that come with staying at The Hotel California. The staff is AMAZING and it's so very convenient to be able to walk just steps to the community kitchen and get your (DELICIOUS) coffee and all the many breakfast choices, included! We love the jacuzzi and the friendly ambience of the property. There's no reason to consider staying anywhere else. Thank you to Corbin, Tracy, Missy, Terry, Maria, Leo, and of course Dora and her housekeeping staff. Love you all!

Tracy is engaging and delightful, and amazingly helpful. The cleaning staff is very friendly. We enjoyed the free bicycles, and the kitchen is very nice. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stated stayed at Hotel California in February of 2024 and absolutely loved it! Pool was warm/perfect temperature, drinks delivered at no cost pool side with snacks daily, bikes allowed us to cruise to downtown and our room was perfect. We couldn’t be more thrilled about the shared kitchen area and Anne cities along with delicious breakfast items each day. We will be back!

Hotel California was superb!! It has super accommodating and friendly staff, bikes for exploring nearby historic mid century modern neighbourhoods, snacks and breakfast items + margaritas and popcorn..... what's not to love! We stayed in Room 15 and loved the poolside ambiance both day and night. Will definitely return!

Truly a wonderful experience. The place is a beautiful B&B with very comfortable accommodations, fully equipped kitchen for guest use to include a variety of breakfast treats each day, a pool and jacuzzi in an idyllic courtyard full of plants, hummingbirds and seating. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful and the relaxed, almost family atmosphere is embracing and welcoming. Will absolutely return to this little gem in the desert.
