Where to start....flawless service from start to finish. We were able to call the hotel from the train station to get picked up. Staff welcoming, warm reception from the gorgeous owner Katja who btw will make your cappuccino or hot cocoa and the brekky staff that caters the yummiest, high quality breakfast buffet. Period. We have stayed in 5 star hotels to great value hotels in 48 countries but I was still impressed to find fresh avocados every morning and kiwi fruit lol. Uber charming hotel just off from the main drag but yet close to a bakery, pub, a small grocery store, restaurants and shops. We were blessed with a beautiful, healthy and safe journey all over Switzerland on this trip. As luck was on our side, we were amazingly upgraded to a room with a Matterhorn view! Next time we visit, we will get the room with a view as it will be worth it. Our room gave a so comfy, warm and cozy vibes with all the amenities that you need including a nepresso machine and a tea kettle for your sirocco teas. Sleep was restful in our 2 night stay as the bed, pillows and comforter were heavenly. We were just happy to chill in our room or sit on the balcony with our teas in hand and just admire the great Matterhorn. The only niggle was the water would run out of the shower door when using the rain shower head and had to use the towels to dry the floor. We did inform the owner about it;) Thank you Hotel Bellerive staff for all you do. Overall, highly recommend and we will be back!

The property was first rate. Five stars. Perfect location, great room and friendly staff.
We checked out very early to meet a driver at the train station. I knew the walk to the train station was about 20 minutes. Cars are not allowed in Zermatt. It was raining. Taxi was not an option.
The woman that checked us out told us that the manager would personally drive us to the train station in a covered electric cart.
The manager did so and also told us that the driver we expected to meet at the train station would be at another train station several miles away because cars were not allowed at the train station we arrived at. She told us what train to take to meet our driver at another train station about 20 miles away.
Needless to say, the help and kindness of the hotel manager was very much appreciated. This will be my most lasting memory of a wonderful trip to Zermatt.
I highly recommend Hotel Bellerive.

If any hotel is deserving of MORE than a 5-star rating, it would be Hotel Bellerive! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel and our stay in Zermatt.
From the minute we booked our reservation, the communication and assistance we received in planning our trip was beyond my expectations. Laura was helpful in suggesting restaurants for my birthday celebration and in making reservations for us. We were transported from the train station in the Hotel Bellerive little "bus" and from that very first interaction, to the time to checked out, experienced the most friendly staff I have ever had at a hotel - they truly made us feel like family. This is a small family-run hotel and the owners are present and so friendly. We loved visiting with Katja in the mornings at breakfast.
The hotel has an amazing breakfast spread every morning with so many wonderful choices (and fabulous coffee drinks!) - it was the highlight of our day! On my birthday, I came down to a decorated table in my honor and in the afternoon, I returned to a room with rose petals on the bed and a nice bottle of wine. Wonderful touches which were much appreciated! I also enjoyed a wonderful massage in the spa (thank you, Hannah!) and highly recommend. The rooms were clean, updated and cozy and we had a great view of the Matterhorn from our balcony when the weather cooperated. We upgraded to a Back to Nature package which included a dinner & a lunch (not at the hotel), both of which were amazing. They weren't restaurants that we probably would have chosen on our own, but were so happy that we had the opportunity to dine at and would definitely return to again when in Zermatt.
I'm not sure how hotel ratings work in Switzerland, because this one is listed as a 3-star, but by U.S. standards, it was WAY more than that. I'm so thankful I found this one on Trip Advisor and booked it. Perhaps the greatest testament to our experience is that we will definitely stay here again when we return to Zermatt and recommend to all of our friends!
Of note, in talking to Katja, she emphasized that it is better to book directly with the hotel for the best price - I believe it's a 10% discount over booking elsewhere.
Hotel Bellerive - thank you for an amazing stay! Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!

Excellent boutique hotel in a great location. Far enough away, but not too far away from everything. Room was roomy, comfortable and clean, but a bit noisy if you're below heavy walkers. Paying up for the Matterhorn view balcony was worth the money, just don't appreciate the smoking policy on the balconies. I don't smoke and don't like sitting on the balcony smelling other people smoke. Service was good and breakfast was better than average with cook-to-order eggs. All things considered, I would definitely stay there again.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Bellerive in Spetember. The staff was all wonderful and welcoming, the room immaculate and comfortable, the breakfast was great and service top notch. We found the location to also be great- close to a lot of things as its more towards the middle of town and not at either end, we walked everywhere in 7ish minutes. We loved the Matterhorn view room- waking up and going to bed to the view of the mountain was wonderful. All in all highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Bellerive. Like all the others have said, it is a wonderfully clean hotel with an amazing breakfast. The rooms have all the modern conveniences to charge your electronics without having to use a converter. They also have free minibar drinks, coffee maker and hot water carafe for tea. Every night we would return from dinner and enjoy some time sitting by the fire in the lobby. The staff was delightful and very helpful. The location was perfect for an easy walk to town and the restaurants. There was nothing that I was disappointed with at this hotel and would stay here again.

If I could give six stars. Outstanding stay from start to finish. They picked us up on a rainy day, and though a bit early for check in, our room was ready within an hour, and we stored our luggage while we walked through the town waiting - with umbrellas loaned from the hotel.
When we came back, it had already been brought to the room! The room itself was beautiful, with a balcony, and also included a mini bar and kettle to make tea coffee - much appreciated touches most of our recent hotels did not have. Shower was special, included lighting options !
Breakfast was also wonderful, with a wide sélection, including fresh squeezed orange juice, and tea/coffee prepared for you.
Would stay again in a heartbeat - only sorry our stay was not longer.
Absolutely recommend!,

The Bellerive taxi was waiting when our train arrived, and the service kept impressing through the stay. The staff was amazing. The breakfast buffet was the best of our Swiss trip. Make it a point to head down and check out the spa. It is on the small side, but we loved it. Our room was modern and well-equipped, and the view from our balcony was beautiful. The hotel is close to everything, including being steps from the best Matterhorn viewpoint in Zermatt, but away from the crowds of the main drag. They have a nice sitting area out front, and a welcoming fire in the lobby each evening. This place blew us away, we loved it.
