Absolutely the highlight of our entire Switzerland adventure was The Omnia! The suite itself was tastefully designed and very comfortable. The facilities were top notch; the steam room/sauna experience is not to be missed. The location worked perfectly for our needs. Most importantly, the service is where The Omnia shined - absolutely impeccable. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to eat at their acclaimed restaurant. Ultimately, that was one of our biggest regrets of the trip. Cannot recommend this place enough!

This hotel was the best customer experience ever!!!! From being greeted personally by the manager Christian with welcome drinks of sparkling wine to our suite that literally was jaw dropping. The attention to detail included a full telescope to observe the beautiful scenery including the Matterhorn. The staff was professional and friendly and answered all our questions and provided us with 2 recommendations for great meals. The breakfast buffet offered many choices including local cheeses. On our way out the door Christian again personally bid us a goodbye. Such an amazing place and in the heart of Zermatt village so easy to get anywhere. If you are in the Zermatt area, I highly recommend this hotel!!!!

Once again I want to sing the praises of The Omnia. The hotel’s staff spoils us, so that other hotels never seem quite adequate anymore. With its limited number of rooms, its staff that does everything to make your stay perfect, returning to The Omnia is an experience not to be missed. We had special and unusual needs during our stay this year. The staff , and I mean everyone, took care of them seamlessly. The only problem with The Omnia is that leaving it makes us sad.

We have stayed many places, and The Omnia is a standout in every aspect. We always feel very welcomed and cared for by every member of the team, from the moment we enjoy our first welcome drink to the very last goodbye. Additionally, the dining experience was a treasured highlight of our visit to The Omnia. We enjoyed the creativity and whimsy of the presentation Chef Kneubuhler has introduced with his new menu. It was fantastic and memorable. We will definitely return to The Omnia, again and again!

Having stayed at another hotel in Zermatt prior to staying here, this hotel had a lot to live up to. (The other having a huge room, view of Matterhorn and cost less) This is a clean modern hotel with very friendly staff. They were all amazing. We especially enjoyed talking to the staff at breakfast each day. The breakfast was really great! It offered many different fruits and chia pudding. We booked a queen room and it was very small. It had a good set up. The bathroom was extremely small though. It was so small that to get into the shower the doors open at the corner. And it was difficult to shampoo your hair without the water washing it off while you shampooed. On the other hand, the closet was very big. It made us wonder why they didn’t use the space that the closet occupied for the bathroom and just make a smaller closet. The bed was comfy as were the sheets. Our view was of other buildings, houses, trees and a mountain. It was fine, but not a great view. We had to close our curtains for privacy which made the room warmer. The room had a balcony. But it was shared by 2 other rooms. We didn’t care for this because of the lack of privacy when the neighbors were on the balcony and because we couldn’t leave the door open during the day to keep the room cooler. The door only opened. It didn’t tilt like some others did. The spa area was great! They offered bottles of water in that area. They also had fruit infused water and granola bars in the lobby each day for the guests. If the price were less for our room category it may have been a better deal.

The Omnia in Zermatt is a case of understated elegance where you are treated “like royalty”. Even before you step into the hotel, communications are prompt with requests for private transportation from Tasch or from the zermatt train station via an electric like golf cart with room for baggage, attended to personally. Requests for room changes or added amenities are met with promptness expected of luxury boutique hotel (read 5-star). The staff have been trained to be cognizant of any smallest hint of any desire that would please you. Helpful, patient and pleasant. Interestingly, the rooms are not numbered but lettered and very well appointed. Our room, letter P, had an adjoining room with a wooden bathtub with amenities and a ladies’ vanity area. No room aircon as this is Switzerland and our balcony door or window was kept open to let the cold breeze in. But they are ready to provide electric fans if requested. As this was Europe, however, your usual two pronged round plug would not fit their electrical outlets. But the front desk will provide you with 3-pronged ones that would. Breakfast is never continental. The choices are organic, very creative, with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant has a menu that boasts of its Michelin rating, an extensive cellar that should please any oenologist and a staff that is ever so attentive, that makes this hotel and its restaurant a pleasure to stay in. Lastly, the Omnia sits on a hill with the town of Zermatt laid beneath her with the hotel accessible through a private tunnel and up via an elevator. Our many thanks to Lara, Helena, Till and John and the whole staff who made our stay a memorable one. Ever mindful, ever helpful.

Excellent Hotel with Impeccable Service
Travel Date: August 31, 2024
Exceptional service and comfortable room with views. The staff is very helpful and responsive (emails, WhatsApp). The best hotel breakfast I ever had in 20 years traveling to Europe. Definitely would consider coming back. The James Bond movie-like tunnel entrance is a big plus.
Best customer service we’ve ever experienced at a hotel

Best customer service of any hotel we’ve ever experienced. Nice gym and a great pool, sauna and spa too. It’s just beautiful in every way. The breakfast was included and delicious. We tried everything over the course of 4 days and all of them tasted great. 5 stars all around.

The service is 11/10 and the Omnia feels like a home away from home. We love how intimate the feel is, the design is beautiful, the team goes above and beyond to help with anything and everything, and dont even get me started on the breakfast program... i dream about it regularly.

The Omnia is a breathtaking hotel overlooking Zermatt. It is unsurpassed in its workforce, service, design, food, attention to detail, warmth, cleanliness, cheer and ability to charm. It is a wonderful feeling to finish the day skiing and come back to the Bahnhofstrasse and take an elevator through the mountainside to arrive at this awesome hotel overlooking the village of Zermatt. The people at The Omnia welcome you back with a smile, a cheer and an offer to assist with whatever one may need, which is how they send you off in the morning when you are going to the slopes (or hiking too). In all areas, the people who work at The Omnia provide absolute 5 star service and they do it with warmth, sincerity, enthusiasm, and skill. You would think each person has an ownership interest in the hotel because they care about their service that much and because they do it with genuineness and a Swiss touch and, or course, precision. The rooms are beautiful, heightened with design yet warm, and the hotel is a stunning example of function and form and architectural greatness with a Swiss flair. The hotel is also a wonderful example of being of scale. The food is exceptional. Whether it is breakfast or dinner, the quality of the meals and presentation are truly excellent. The Chef and Pastry Chef are as talented as any chef and pastry chef anywhere, in any hotel or at any restaurant in any city the world over. This is not an exaggeration, and my wife and I love food and make it a special part of our travels. The kitchen could be dropped in Paris or New York and diners would think they are having food from the very best Chef and Pastry Chef in either city. And we say that based on experience. This is our fifth time staying at The Omnia and we have already made our reservations for next year. We cannot say enough about The Omnia and all if its parts. It easily competes with any of the absolute best hotels in any locations in the world, from any city, to any seaside, to any mountain villages, to anywhere in between. Plus, the prices are far more reasonable! Do not hesitate - go top Zermatt and stay at The Omnia. You might never go anywhere else.
