Not great but not terrible

I think this is a 3 star hotel in feel and performance. There is a lack of generosity about the room facilities - towel size, number of bins (1), small bedside table, paper cups, no smart TV, limited choice of teas, coffees, milk in espresso machine, unheated main pool and barely heated shady pool. 2 small bottles of water for 2 night stay …… etc etc.
we had a very average in taste but slightly portion but expensive supper served by nice but I would say inexperienced staff. Wine is expensive but available by the small glass.
Wouldn’t recommend because of position which is too far out of town.

Nice hotel but the pictures are misleading... It might be one of the most quiet place I have ever stayed in! There are 2 pools to use (one is for kids and the other is almost dedicated to complete silence!) and the restaurant is not located around the pool as it looks on the pictures. The hotel is located on a very green domain and the rooms have a nice view of the beach or mountains. It is quite clean and well maintained. The food options during the day are VERY limited. Paninis only and not the best ones and ice creams. The evening restaurant is also where they serve breakfast. The view is very nice. We enjoyed the breakfast choices but the evening menu is quite disappointing. It was too expensive for the quality of the dishes and the staff (while very nice) are all trainees... The hotel is located near a beach but if you are not big on walks, you should make sure you have a rental car. The biggest downside to the hotel is the lack of service offered onsite (no bike rental, no spa, no other amenities). The staff however is very friendly and helpful with little means... The marina is a nice place to eat as there are a lot of options to choose from.

Great views, nice location
Stayed a couple nights in the off season. Friendly staff (Marine), quiet location. 20 minute walk, 5 minute drive to town center & beach. Creative dinner entrees, just would like a printed menu……………………………………..
Tranquil and stylish hotel in superb setting

Beautiful view over the gulf and dramatic sunsets from a fine balcony. Room spacious with good air-con (much-needed). Staff friendly. Two good pools.
Ate there one night and the food was very good, although there were no printed menus - QR codes don't work for us so had to order from a tablet.
Great breakfast with lots of local produce and very decent coffee from the machine.
One quibble: we ordered a cocktail from the pool bar one evening and the barman told us to sit at a table and he'd bring it over. So we waited. And waited. Then we saw him take someone else's order, prepare their drinks and serve them before going to chat to other customers. We waited a little longer then left. Mere forgetfulness? Or anti-Brit bias? No idea. A shame though.

An unusual hotel in that there are a number of blocks of rooms rather than one building. Our room had a sea view across the bay with a balcony which was lovely. There are no tea or coffee making facilities or mini bar in rooms. Reception was in a separate block so no interaction with staff ‘in passing’. The two pools are lovely - especially impressed with customer service by Remi at the pool bar.
Big disappointment was the restaurant sadly. The food was rather tasteless and felt as though they were trying to hard to produce ‘fancy’ food ( and generally I love some fancy food!) . No soul to the restaurant and no one leading the staff .
It’s location and good modern rooms could be better exploited.

Very good and peaceful hotel in Propriano
Lot of outdoor space with private swimming pool.
Very good breakfast indoor or outdoor.
Friendly english speaking team.
Good location for touring the south of Corsica

We booked the hotel for two nights to visit Propriano and Sartene. Really nice hotel with lovely breakfast in front of the garden. The service stuff was very friendly.
The only thing that was quite annoying: We had an open shower without partition wall so whenever we took a shower the whole bathroom was „under“ water.
Nevertheless i would recommend the hotel. We spent a good time there.

which makes for a smooth relaxing holiday -loved our time there.
Minor improvements would be complimentary water on arrival and glasses in the room, and not putting the spare toilet roll on the cleaning brush ( my wife thought this a real no no ).
The 24hr reception was a life saver though.

Beautiful Hotel in noisy surroundings
The Hotel is located on the outskirts of Propriano, a small fishing town with only a few tourists in the southwest of Corsica.
It is best reached from the Airports of Figari or Ajaccio, but you nedde a rental car, as the public transport network is very poor. Since the Island is very mountainous, you have to drive on the way over numerous serpentines, This also applies to all excursions.
The hotel itself itself consists of several one-storey low-rise buildings, which is preceded by a fairly large garden. But hardly anyone stays there, as it bordered by a noisy street, sometimes even helicopters landed in this garden...
The rooms are big enough, are clean, the mattresses are firm and you can sleep well there. There is also a balcony, but you can't use it durfing the day because of street noise. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was rather poor for a four-star Hotel (no wholemeal bread, no fruit salad, no vegetables like tomatoes or cucumbers, only two sorts of cheese or ham or fruit juice). The dinner was excellent, but unfortunately very expensive.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful setting
Situated in beautiful gardens; 20 minutes from seafront (Propriano); excellent (adults only) pool: warm, quiet and peaceful (but no bar); the other pool is also very good (with bar); barman (Eric) friendly with good recommendations for excursions.
Very good, but could be excellent.

After a rocky start to our 9 night stay, when the air conditioning in the suite we had booked did not work, we eventually settled into an alternative suite which,in the end, probably suited us better. The manager was very apologetic and made amends for the initial hiccup.
Our room was spacious and very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Staff were efficient and friendly.
We were the first couple at the hotel to experience their "All inclusive" board. It was clear that, as this is a new feature, it was not easy, for either staff, or us, to know what you could and couldn't have. The food menus were fairly self explanatory, but the drinks were another matter. Staff had to consult a long list of all drinks available, to check if they were in the all inclusive choice. After a while, however, we knew where we stood on the drinks that we normally have. Overall, I believe the extra we paid for the all inclusive break, was worth it.
There are 2 main criticisms of the hotel. Firstly, the main pool, that has a bar, has far too few sunbeds, ( and they must be the most uncomfortable we had ever laid on) , and there really needs to be parasols for them all. The temperature was in the mid 30's and it was almost impossible to lay in the direct sun for any length of time. I know they are adding another awning to one area of the poolside, but this will still leave 3 sides of the pool with no shade after about midday.
Secondly, if you stay for more than a few days, the menu, both at lunch and dinner, becomes monotonous.
In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Bartaccia, but with a few changes I would have given it a five star rating.
