The service from the Fairmont staff was above and beyond. Very friendly and accommodating. The Arc restaurant has great food, and a fantastic brunch. Must try the eggs bennie with smoked salmon. Stayed on the club floor and the room had a great view of the harbour and the bed was so comfortable. Great location to walk around the harbour and close to shopping.

We were given a gift from our kids for a New Years Eve stay. We were looking forward to it as we would never spend this kind of money on a place so our expectations were high. Our kids paid over $400 for the night in a room with water...

We were given a gift from our kids for a New Years Eve stay. We were looking forward to it as we would never spend this kind of money on a place so our expectations were high. Our kids paid over $400 for the night in a room with water / park view on the 16th floor. To begin with we had to wait over 30 minutes to check in. The line up was huge and carried well into the atrium of the hotel. They had four staff checking in people but this was crazy. They did come by and offer hot chocolate and thanked us for being patient but this was way longer than it should have been. Once we got into our room, we loved the view but the room itself was quite dated. There were rolls in the carpet and although the room was very clean, it was dated with wall paper needing to be replaced etc. The bathroom as a great size and the view was amazing. This hotel allows pets in the rooms. I have no issue with this but when a dog keeps barking all day long that is a problem. I didn't come to a nice hotel and spend that kind of money on a place where I have to endure dogs barking all day and night long. While I didn't hear the dog in the middle of the night it was well into the evening that is for sure. Then we have neighbours who thought they could have New Years Party right in their room well after midnight. The music and laughter was so loud the security person couldn't get their attention without pounding on the door. Then this person proceeded to have their TV on so loud that we were awoken after 2 am with the security trying to get their attention once again due to their noise. A terrible sleep and less than enjoyable experience for what we paid. I wouldn't go here again even if it was half what I paid...just isn't worth it!

COMFORTABLE ROOM, VERY HELPFUL CONCIERGES. GOOD BREAKFAST. INSUFFICIENT VEGETARIAN CHOICE (IF ANY!) AT DINNER THEREFORE ATE ELSEWHERE IN THE EVENING. STAYED IN HIGH AND LOW FLOORS OVERLOOKING THE WATERFRONT. PEACEFUL AT BOTH FLOOR LEVELS. WOULD SUGGEST LOW FLOOR AND SPEND THE DIFFERENCE ON THE BREAKFAST!!

I came to celebrate my birthday. I mentioned this when I was booking my room. I was very pleasantly surprised when checking in that I was upgraded to a top floor harbor view room. I can't say enough how friendly and accommodating ALL the staff were from a friendly good morning to offering free slippers for our pool use. This all made for one of my best birthday celebrations ever. I hope to come back for our next big celebration - our 25th wedding anniversary.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We had breakfast on both days in the hotel restaurant, which was excellent. We were taking a cruise from the port located across the street so the hotel was quite conveniently located. Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed with amenities

The location is brilliant for a tourist visit to Vancouver, with so much in walking distance or easy rides. The hotel staff are all so polite, helpful, learn your name very quickly and generally fun to interact with. Arc, the restaurant and bar has an excellent menu, everything comes out...

The hotel staff are all so polite, helpful, learn your name very quickly and generally fun to interact with. Arc, the restaurant and bar has an excellent menu, everything comes out hot, looking and tasting good. Room lived up to expectation and even only being on the 5th floor, had a good view of the harbour.

The Fairmont Waterfront will be my go-to hotel for future trips to Vancouver. The welcome far exceeded my expectations. My wife and I arrived early after a four-hour train trip to beautiful Vancouver from Seattle and the room was ready. This was our first trip to the city. I booked a regular room and noted in the comments that it was our 36th anniversary and my birthday week. Jeff was wonderful, a guardian angel of sorts. We were upgraded to a harbor facing room and the view was phenomenal. The rooms are somewhat dated but I value cleanliness, comfort and service more, and kudos to the housekeeping staff. I like that there are crisp white duvets and linens because my pet peeve are those grungy bedspreads that so many hotels use (not this hotel). toiletries are excellent. We went out for a walk on the first day (our anniversary) to return to a chilled bottle of prosecco and chocolate cake. That made my week and Jeff checked in with us to ensure that our stay was going well. Just when I thought I had seen it all, two days later there was a knock on the door and I opened it to find one of the hotel staff members (Tara - a real credit to your hotel) holding a birthday cake. The friendliness of staff members throughout the hotel made us feel special. To me, the little touches do matter. The location is great, right across from the convention center, restaurants, shuttles etc. It's an easy walk into downtown Vancouver. To management: Jeff's photo should be on that wall recognizing staff for superior service. You are lucky to have him. Thanks Jeff.

We had a great stay. It was a quick overnight stay route to Tofino. Short walk to the Bill Reid gallery. A short walk around the harbour to Harbour Air airport. We enjoyed the hotel restaurant-food was delicious. Beds comfy. Room clean. We will return.

Visited as part of our 60th birthday celebration holiday stayed 4 nights Room was fine but as usual poorly lit had to have bathroom door open to make tea/coffee etc We had an issue with housekeeping removing some personal items that we didn’t get back The hotel gave us a $100 credit problem was they did it against a bar bill which they said would be complimentary. We won’t stay again it’s a large corporate hotel and we felt that as tourists we were treated as 2nd class citizens

Excellent hotel with excellent staff at all levels, we asked if it was possible to check in early at 1030am, the man at the desk said no problems and we weren’t charged for the early check in. Room was spotless, buffet breakfast was good, the gym and pool are good....

We visit Vancouver every year to keep in touch with friends and family. We prefer to stay near the waterfront close to downtown. For the past few years we have stayed at the Pan Pacific which has been very nice. This year we decided to switch to the Fairmont Waterfront just to see how it compared. The room was spacious and up-to-date with great views and nice amenities. However it was the concierge service and lounge that made the difference for us. We’ll stay here again for our next visit.

The stay at this hotel exceeded expectations! We originally booked at the Pacific Rim and had to cancel at the last minute due to my husband becoming ill. The Pacific Rim waived the late cancellation fee and this was a bonus. We re-booked a day later for the Waterfront as the price was better and the Gold Floor was available. This hotel is perfectly located! The check in staff was accommodating, gave us early access, the room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The Gold Floor is totally worth a few extra $, breakfast was amazing, very substantial, the snacks were delicious and the canapés far exceeded what I expected! Dessert was bakery level tasty. The staff on the Gold Floor were friendly and nice, I feel there is nothing they wouldn’t get for a guest. We loved the guest bikes, the pool is amazing and we used the hotel car to get to our dinner reservation. So convenient! Lastly, housekeeping was friendly and did an amazing job every day! Thanks Fairmont Waterfront for turning a bad situation (illness) into an amazing vacation!

It exuded luxury at every turn but just seemed to be missing something in 'the personal touch' The restaurant was not very exciting with a dull menu, so didn't use it but went out to eat (Lots of very good restaurants in the surrounding area). May seem odd but I was never sure what was included and what was chargeable. Interesting that the mini-bar (not used) had a notice to say that it was sensitive and, if touched, might cause us to be charged and to ring reception to say we hadn't taken anything. Swimming pool was very good.

Wonderful location at Canada Place overlooking the cruise liner docks and close to GasTown. Staff very helpful and accommodating and the lounge facilities were excellent. Standard of food and drinks provided were of a high standard. Very comfortable, clean and spacious room with a bed and pillows to die for! Would thoroughly recommend the Fairmont Waterfront as an option for a stay in Vancouver.

We picked this hotel for the location, was perfect for what we needed. The shower in this hotel is great, liked the Le Labo Rose 31 scented products too. The view of the harbour was lovely, we stayed on the 10th floor.
