This was our second visit to this wonderful hotel, and once again, it was brilliant in every way. It's the staff that make this hotel stand out, they literally go above and beyond to ensure everything, from start to finish, goes just right.
Special thanks also go to Maria and Frenkli at the beach; they were attentive to our service. Valentina at the bar served our drinks with charm and professionalism, always making sure we were well looked after.
Denis, Dimitris, Esmerelda, Eleanor, Eirini, Maria, and Kiriaki made every meal special because of their warm and thoughtful service. Of course, they really made a difference in their jobs.
And Chef Ornella outdid herself again! Her dishes were just special, flavors and presentation that make every meal special. One could feel the passion of food with literally every single bite.
Overall, this second stay was as nice as the first. We did notice that Indigo, which was open for breakfast on our first visit, wasn't open for breakfast on this visit. Also, we missed seeing the profiteroles on the menu, a favourite of ours. It would be great to see these return in the future.

I don’t know where to begin with this hotel! An absolute hidden gem we are so glad we stumbled across! Originally booked at the king Jason zante who cancelled our holiday last minute and left us with no holiday and not much time to book an alternative, after days of searching Instagram we came across the Elix Mar Bella and all I can say is thank god the king Jason cancelled us!!!!
The hotel , view, scenery is all absolutely stunning!! Prosecco on check in, and shown to our suite with a beautiful private infinity pool!
The room was thoroughly cleaned daily, not a single ounce of dirt! We had the signature life package and so our mini bar was repelled daily and then house keeping would come around again at night to see if you needed anything at all.
The bed is extremely comfortable, seperate sofa area. Huge double wardrobes!
The pool was just incredible!! We stayed here most of our holiday!! Pictures just don’t do it justice!
The food was beautiful at the restaurants and at the buffet! Always hot. Lots of variety! Just beautiful! We had several lattes and cappuccinos - Bean to cup coffee with steamed milk- no cheap artificial coffee machine coffee!
We had a pizza at the beach bar one day which was massive but they boxed up what was left so we could take it away!
The ONLY thing I could possibly nitpick at if I had to find a negative was the kids 🤣 as a childless couple, the screaming children next door or at the buffets teamed with the child who would get up and run riot at 6am in the room above us- not great! Shame it’s not adults only / have a seperate area of suites for adults only.
The hotel is honestly the most beautiful we have ever stayed in, the holiday the best we have ever had! It will take so much to top the Elix mar bella!! We have serious holiday blues!!!!

The hotel is exceptional with wonderful staff who go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. Quick mention to Irene at the lounge bar who always brought us evening drinks with a smile!
We had a corner room with stunning views across the sea to Corfu and Paxos. The views are truly outstanding.
Highly recommend the hotel. Hope to return one day.
Great team! Keep up the good work !!

Reading other 5 stars reviews on trip advisor, I was expecting that our stay would be wonderful. Also, having experience of 5 stars hotel in London as a negotiator for rack business rate, I was expecting the best. No way ! this resort is not a five star hotel, not for the services, food, facilities and entertainment. Location on the top hill of the karovastasi beach and panoramic views were wonderful but far from anywhere. Rooms acceptable for the space and position and the private pools. The view from the bathroom on the balcony and beach priceless! Gardens well kept. However room furniture was cheap, toiletries craps, with soap dispensers like in a Premier inn hotel, toiletries and mini fridge drinks replenished once a week and really cheap. One bottle of water among two people for the whole day, ants on the table, one uncomfortable chair in the room for one person, one old sofa bed and a bath tub with no safety bars to aid you out and rather slipper without a mat. . Pool with too much chlorine and very cold water. One day no bed was made and cups washed. One day water missing.
The welcome pack was crap, three hard red apples which you couldn’t eat and a bottle of cheap wine, no biscuits or other fruit or cakes as experienced in other hotels. Pillows were very uncomfortable. No ironing board either. No shuttle bus to a nearest centre, once a week on Thursday to Parga only for 7 people at the price of 25 euro each. Trips outside to explore the area terrible expensive. Lift funicular area closed in the evenings so you could not go down the beach path to other tavernas in karovastasi beach. Dangerous if you took the path through the woods.
Buffet Restaurant very small for the number of guests. Food inedible most of the times, with overgrilled tough beef, pork or chicken, no green vegetables available and repetitive
Menus. No nice seafood like prawns, sea bream or sea bass or lobster or any beautiful cooked fish, more like a canteen than else. The restaurants alla carte had to be paid extra and not so wonderful either. Cheese or delicatessen variety very poor, just few slices of Gouda, Marsdam or Emmenthall, feta. Staff helpful when they could but the whole things was chaotic. We couldn’t wait to go back home. Our last evening meal was awful. The cherry on the cake was to be asked to pay for the coffee in the morning at breakfast! . The weather didn’t help either and people were all crammed inside the restaurant, with crying toddlers or babies. No lights available in some areas, especially around the large swimming pool. In my opinion the hotel lets a lot to be desired. The management doesn’t understand what customers want from holidays and the hotel is not good value for the money paid. We certainly would not go back.

Stunning hotel!
This hotel was beautiful. My room was great with its own pool.
The food was great!
My husband loved the tennis court and the instructor!
The beach activities were fun and great touch .

I honestly cannot relate to the negative comments (although note that there aren't many anyways!), this place is AMAZING! We have previously stayed at Ikos hotels and needed something a bit more affordable for a quick getaway and this place certainly has a lot to offer, you just need to do your research to get the best value out of it.
For transport to the hotel, we actually opted to book a hire car as it works out cheaper than a taxi/shuttle bus. Would 100% recommend as the hotel offers free parking.
Food was delicious! Yes, the buffet food was nothing mindblowing but what do you expect? The a la cart restaurants blew us away, the food was fresh and the service was speedy and attentive.
The rooms were spotless, comfy beds and the most gorgeous views of the sea. The sunsets are to DIE for.
Overall, a really relaxing stay with a fantastic body of staff. Will most certainly be returning. Some people just don't use their common sense when booking something off grid! Thank you team Elix!

Just returned from a week away with my boyfriend, and we had the most incredible and relaxing time — truly couldn’t fault a thing.
I booked this as a babymoon — our last holiday together before the baby arrives — and I’ll admit I was a little nervous after reading some of the mixed reviews, particularly about dirty pools, noisy kids and it being so remote! But honestly, I’m not sure what those people experienced — it couldn’t have been further from our experience.
We spent most of our days on the stunning beach, where the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive. Yes, there were families with young children around, but they were well-behaved and just enjoying the beach like any kids would. If absolute silence is essential, those complaining might be better off booking an adults-only resort. Take it from me… I’m pregnant and easily irritated — and even I wasn’t bothered!
As for the pools — both the shared and private ones — they were regularly cleaned and clearly well maintained. I never once saw anything that would support the negative comments I'd read beforehand. (I’d deffo recommend paying a little extra for a swim-up / shared pool - amazing views and beautiful to watch the sunset!)
The rooms and facilities were spotless, and the food was varied and absolutely delicious. Breakfast and Dinner could be a little hectic but that’s a given with a buffet! We chose to go a little earlier when it was more chill.
While the hotel is in a fairly remote location, we hired a car for the week (which was great value compared to taxis/transfers) and enjoyed some lovely day trips, and an evening out in Parga.
I never write reviews, but I genuinely wouldn’t want someone to miss out on such a beautiful place because of a handful of negative comments. This was the perfect spot to switch off, relax, and enjoy some quiet time before baby arrives — absolutely worth every penny.

Our first time visiting this resort and what a treat it was. A warm welcome and explanation upon our arrival and we settled in very quickly. The resort itself has been clearly well designed and thought through, in sympathy with the surrounding rocky terrain. The flower beds are beautiful, and well maintained, reflected by an abundance of insects and butterflies.
The staff are excellent and attentive without being intrusive. The food was superb with a wide variety of freshly prepared meals, and the bar was well stocked with named brand drinks and great local beers.
We loved the Greek food and this is complimented by Italian and Asian food on different nights. We also learnt alot about Greek wine as there was a a wide ranging menu to select from with support from knowledgable staff too.
We loved this place and would like to try other Mar-Bella resorts if we don't return to this one.
Thanks for a great stay.

The hotel itself is beautiful. We were welcomed with drinks on arrival, and our bags were taken to our room, which was lovely and offered an amazing view of the sea.
Breakfast had a good variety to choose from, and lunch at the pool bar was enjoyable. However, the overall food experience was disappointing. There was a noticeable lack of authentic Greek dishes, which felt like a missed opportunity, especially given the location. The lunch and dinner buffets were almost identical each day, offering mainly generic international food with very little variety.
Service at the buffet ranged from excellent to very poor. Some staff were friendly and provided great service, while others came across as rude, and the service was often extremely slow. It really depended on who happened to be working at the time. Evening bar service was particularly frustrating. We waited over 40 minutes to be served a drink, even after going up to the bar twice.
The beach was a highlight of the stay. The water was clear and refreshing, the sunbeds were comfortable, and the beach bar staff provided excellent service throughout. The air-conditioned lift back up to the hotel from the beach was a very helpful touch.
The hotel is quite remote, which we knew in advance, but it's worth noting that there's only one small shop on site. Unfortunately, it was often closed even during its scheduled opening times, which was inconvenient.
When we checked out, the hotel staff took our luggage and told us it would be loaded onto the transfer coach. However, about 30 minutes into the journey to the airport, we had to stop and wait for a driver from the hotel to bring our bags, as they had forgotten to load them. It was lucky they realised before it was too late, but the delay was frustrating and didn’t go down well with the other passengers either. It felt like a clear lack of communication and left a poor final impression.
Although we enjoyed some aspects of the stay, especially the beach, we wouldn’t return or recommend the hotel to others. The standard of service and food simply didn’t match what you’d expect from a hotel presenting itself as a luxury destination.

This complex is in the most stunning location. The rooms are perfectly positioned to enjoy the panoramic view. The rooms are immaculate and serviced everyday. We Found the beds extremely comfortsble and I've had the best night's sleep for a long time. The food was very good and varied every day. I cant see how the food wouldn't cater every need. The staff are exceptional and work very hard. They are very respectful (even when dealing with rude/akward customers) a special mention to Eleni in the Saffron restaraunt, what a lovely person. She is a real asset to your business. On the negative side and the reason I have given 4 stars is I found the complimentary tray in the room very sparse. I asked the housekeeper for some normal breakfast tea bags but she said she didn't have any. To be fair though when we got back to the room she had left us 2 tea bags, which we were grateful for. English people like their cups of tea. The complex is very isolated and would highly recommend hiring car. The hotel does have a 10 seater mini bus and they only make one trip to Parga once a week (Thursday) This was already booked up when we arrived. I think their missing a trick by not having 2 trips per day and charging 20 to 30 Euros per person which is a lot cheaper than getting a taxi. I also found the cost of food and drink a bit pricey and would recommend all inclusive. This place is a haven and the most chilling holiday you could have in a stunning location

Another amazing holiday at Elix. The hotel is stunning, staff wonderful and food and drinks super.

The beach is fantastic with the clearest sea water we have seen in Greece. We were on a half board package, and the buffet restaurant had some of the best food we’ve had, such an amazing choice, with a different theme each night. Great choice of wines too. Staff everywhere were friendly and helpful.
I would have to agree with other reviews regarding children, it would be quite easy, I think to have an adults only section of the restaurant, as it was quite noisy. I am not suggesting to make this hotel adults only, just to have a separate quiet area for us oldies.
All in All though, we would definitely return as it’s a fabulous hotel, with views and food to die for.
Thank you Elix.
The Duncans.

We stayed at the Elix Mar-Bella from the 8th to the 22nd June (14 days) and we had room 302
This was an indulgent escape holiday booked with Jet2
By way of background we only stay in premium hotels, and we take 3 big holidays a year - one long haul and two in Europe, plus several long weekends.
Highs
The views from the hotel, especially the sunsets were great
The beach is excellent and we enjoyed the exercise we got from chosing to walk every day - the beach can be reached by funicular (it’s 277 steps).
The staff are generally very friendly and helpful
The Spa is amazing and in particular the masseuse is amongst the best we have encountered (there is a masseur and masseuse)
The gym is well equipped
The buffet restaurant was good and the staff were brilliant
Our room was large with a big terrace and the bed was very comfortable
The Catamaran cruise day was superb - we’d recommend this
Lows
On the first day, the bathroom door, when closed, would not open! - we had to call maintenance
On day 3 the toilet leaked and we had to call maintenance
The bathroom / toilet floor was not cleaned for 3 days (we know this because a dead bug was not removed during this time!) I had to call reception to ask house cleaning to come and clean away the bug
The towels were always wrong - missing something - floor mat, face towels, only one bath towel etc. We called about this too.
The mini bar was not automatically restocked when you used something - I ate the nuts on the 2nd day, they were never replaced.
The coffee machine in the room that takes capsules requires a “trick” to make it work properly - this “trick” is not written anywhere. We discovered it only because we asked reception to send someone to change the machine - it just crushed the capsules all the time. My Nespresso machine at home doesn’t require a special “trick”.
We had no hot water on the morning of our departure - so we could not shower before leaving.
One trip to Parga a week offered by the Hotel should be increased - we went by taxi and it was ridiculously expensive
Our room (we had paid to upgrade) was adjacent to the service road to the beach. That means the terrace wasn’t private at all with people and delivery vehicles going back and forwards at all times - so we had limited use of it. Moreover those guests in the room above splashed water from their private pool onto our terrace when we sat outside, which made in unusable.
More seriously
In the Pearl and Indigo restaurants in our first week, no attention was paid to our gluten free requirements and it seemed as though the staff either didn’t understand or hadn’t been trained. We heard a similar story from other guests we spoke with.
My partner was given caffeinated coffee on the beach (twice on the same day) when we had specifically ordered decaffeinated - she had a serious reaction to this that evening.
Getting allergies wrong can leave someone seriously ill!
Other considerations
There is only one large pool and this had children in it constantly. Might be worth considering adult only times so that people can swim in it properly and encourage the children to use the kids pool at these times? Perhaps at the beginning and end of the day?
Offer a boat taxi from the hotel to Parga a couple of times a week.
There is fighting over beach beds everyday, with your staff being abused by unruly guests. You need to implement a system to stop this. We were abused by one guest who told us we had stolen his beds and we saw other guests fighting.
Service at the beach could be significantly improved with a pager system on each table (as we’ve seen at several other hotels)
The beach menu is very limited
The 20 euro allowance to eat in the Pearl and Indigo restaurants is way to low - it doesn’t cover many of the main courses.
Consider non smoking and non vaping in all restaurants and bars. On several occasions our meals were spoilt by one or two guests lighting cigarettes or vaping right next to us.
Overall, and this would be comparing to other hotels we’ve stayed at ( 5 star hotels in Europe), they don’t do very well. The test is, would we come back, and would we recommend this hotel to our friends - I think sadly the answer would be no. There were too many things wrong with no apology forthcoming

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES. Whilst this hotel is beautiful and the front of house staff are lovely, the hotel’s management lack integrity. I almost died on the first day of our honeymoon due to the hotel’s neglectful consideration of my allergies, not taking them seriously. The first day I arrived there were nuts in my room, despite the hotel already being notified of my severe allergy. I ate something labelled nut free on the first night and within minutes was struggling to breathe, it was a very traumatic experience, particularly as we were so remotely placed and the hotel didn’t apologise or give us any compensation or even a free dinner following the incident. We were down a thousand euros in medical bills, I lost my wedding ring and the medication I was put on meant I couldn’t sit in the sun for the subsequent days of our holiday. I then also felt anxious to eat anything at the buffet restaurant again as even the chefs weren’t sure what was and wasn’t safe for me to eat. Overall, there was a severe lack of understanding and if they continue like this, they will end up killing someone. They also invoiced me for the emergency taxis we got to the hospital. Honestly shocked and disgusted.

We had a lovely relaxing stay here from 14 May for 10 nights. On arrival you are welcomed with a glass of fizz while you are checked in and your bags are taken to your room.
We had the junior suite with private pool. The views were stunning! (although wherever you are in the hotel there is an amazing view!) The room was very clean and spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. The pool and patio were also a good size. We were all inclusive so all drinks and meals were included, including prosecco & because of the room the signature life package was included.
We had 4 reservations included for the a la carte restaurants & one 'Dine Out' meal at a local restaurant all of which were booked by the staff before our arrival.
We enjoyed all of the restaurants including the buffet which was lovely and varied each night. There was such a lot of choice for breakfast although the buffet at lunch was lovely it was a bit limited so we chose to have lunch at the beach most days.
We didn't use the main pool but it always looked lovely & clean with plenty of sun beds and a pool bar.
The beach was the highlight of our stay. The beach was lovely. There were always plenty of sun beds available and it was lovely to have waiter service to your sun bed. I have to mention all of the staff on the beach from Omar and the rest of the team who looked after your sun beds and made sure you were comfortable, they truly could not do enough for you. They work so hard and always had a welcoming smile for you. Also the beach restaurant staff whose service was first class. The food was lovely and there was a nice selection of food to suit everyone including unlimited ice cream. Again nothing was too much trouble and they always welcomed you with a smile on their face. They all made our holiday!
Although to be fair all staff are very friendly and welcoming which ever part of the hotel you visit and their service is excellent. Nothing is too much trouble.
We did the hotel shuttle bus trip to Parga on one of the days which was 25 euros each return which we feel was worth it. You had plenty of time to have a walk around and grab something to eat if you wanted to.
Overall we had an amazing stay, were said to leave and will definitely return one day.
