Had a fantastic two week stay, booked through TUI. Stayed in a Premium Sea view room. The great: - The hotel setting: totally gorgeous. So much wildlife and just beautiful scenery and landscaping. Great for nature lovers. - Kaab vegan restaurant - as a veggie - this was some of the best veggie food I have ever ate. We met many other non-veggies who also loved it. Great service, always space and fresh food / juice / cocktails. - Drinks - lots available - great cocktails. Favourite was a mango daiquiri - The room - saw mixed reviews on upgrading to premium but we loved it. Being set back with a sea view balcony with a little bed, we could relax and have slow mornings, early nights in. Loved the premium pool to - even if the beach / other pool was busy the premium pool had space offering shady spots to which was some relief in the heat. Room was clean, great facilities, good housekeeping service. - The relaxed vibes (mostly): most of the holiday we had relaxed, quiet peaceful vibes and areas with the more lively spots available if your that way inclined. However. towards the end of our stay we did notice a bit of a shift towards a more busy / rowdy atmosphere with many large rather loud groups - which just isn't our thing, if this was the full holiday it definitely would have put a downer on it for us. - Spa - fantastic experience. Best massage / spa package I have had! Great value for money - and if you ask they do sometimes add on a little extra discount / barter buffer on. - Entertainment - loved the silent disco and shine down beach buffet - we enjoyed sitting on a shared table and meeting others - big tip is to get there early to get a seat. - Service - mostly totally fantastic always lots of smiles and hellos. The OK (but still not bad points): - Food - limited veggie offering. There was always something but got very samey (veggies/ salad / bread rolls/ pizza). Would not recommend the bean jacket at The Pub. I would say I'm a veggie - but was served bacon in Driftwood. - Drinks - no menus - made choosing and trying new things which I love to do on holiday rather tricky. - Selling up - like others had said the hotel do try to up sell a lot of things and added experiences (some of which we thought were crazy stupid expensive). - Restaurants - we booked one visit to both Asian and the Italian via the concierges. The Asian didn't have our booking and we were not able to re-book. The Italian was very good. Towards end of stay (shift in vibes from relax to rowdy) we did have a 40 minute wait to get into the buffet. Also weren't aware the buffet / main restaurant close when the beach buffet is taking place - which gets very busy and has limited seating - so opted for room service (definitely recommend trying) . - Lack of seating for casual evening / daytime. Limited seating available to just sit have a drink /chat / play cards etc around the bars. Led to us going back to our room early a few times or during the day to sit and eat lunch from the snacky bar place. Overall, we loved our visit and like the many other people we spoke to, I wouldn't hesitate to return again to El Dorado.

Raoul at the swim out bar was fantastic. The palms beach was great and they did ask fabulous job at cleaning the sargassum. We dined at most Ala cartes but our favourite was Klay Talay. Italian being second. We will definitely be back. Met lots of new friends. We enjoyed the entertainment most nights with Kareoke being the best. Special shout outs Darwin at Klay Talay and Maria with the entertainment staff. Hola

The staff were amazing!! Special shoutout to Luis at the Arrecifes pool for an amazing trivia session :) Also Jose, Angel, Benjamin, Luana, and Maria for making our vacation special!! The rooms are enormous, everyone is SO sweet, and the service was great!!

Had a really amazing trip, nicest resort we have been too. The setting of the resort is lovely and the entertainment team is great! Luis stood out for us, he really made our trip, Jose and angel where also great- they are all a credit to the resort.

Totally selfish and ridiculous. If you want a bed.. lie on it. The place is tired, staff and food good, beverages good, a loud lively end and a quiet one, The Mexican TUI rep was excellent, we got in the restaurants we wanted, breakfast good, I know you spend little time in your rooms but they are in a desperate need for upgrade. If you are a hard core smoker do not come here.. Beware scam at airport if you bring cigarettes I got fined all in Spanish £322 for bringing 200. Its now a majot scam.. Beware.. All in all you get what you pay for. . And we did..

Amazing resort, amazing wildlife, beautiful beaches, attentive friendly staff, huge rooms, outstanding entertainment programme. So much to do, cocktails, branded alcohol, lovely wines, beach cabanas. We opted to have a massage which was amazing however it came with an hour at the hotel spa with hydrotherapy of cold plunge and things like that which were all under mainteanace and therefore were unusuable. We spent an hour in the spa simply waiting for our massage which was quite boring.as well as this the food wasn’t the best, some nights was very nice other the rice was undercooked, veg undercooked and not much options. But overall it was a lovely holiday and we would possibly return

Couple, 30s, Niagara ON - Monday through Friday trip Okay, this was our first time to Mexico, and to be honest, we were pleasantly surprised. We had heard lots of great reviews but then also "warnings" from people who had never been there. I rarely go on all-inclusive trips because if I read 1-2 bad reviews, I get too nervous to book. So if you are like me, read on! This resort is stunning. The landscaping, trees, facilities, beaches, pools, restaurants, etc., are clean and pristine. All the staff work so hard to maintain this resort. Our entire stay was organised, and the staff were happy to answer any questions. We felt very safe the entire time. We booked our shuttle through Lomas Travel, which was straightforward. When you get through the airport, there are lots of shuttle and taxi companies looking for your business, but the Lomas team was easy to find with their turquoise outfits. Our ride was about an hour and 20 minutes, but it was a breeze with the kind drivers and coordinators. From there, we were greeted at the resort with a margarita and info from the concierge team. The resort itself has multiple pools and areas to relax throughout the day. There is no need to get up early and "reserve spots"; they have signs there to ask you not to. There are cabanas and beach chairs at all the pools, as well as on the beach. The bartenders are all very friendly and work hard - make sure you bring money to tip , they deserve it!! This goes for servers, cleaners, etc. The restaurants are delicious - we went to the Mexican one twice, because it was so good. We went to the pub and got a bunch of different dishes - the chicken wings and fish and chips are great. We booked a candlelight dinner for our last night, and each got tomahawk steaks - they were massive. This experience we paid extra for, but we were happy to with the experience. The breakfast buffets are full of different foods such a fruit, salads, breads, sandwiches, and some sort of meat like a plank of salmon, roast beef, etc. They have some sort of evening activity each night - we went to the fire show, which was my favourite! During the day, you can do a morning beach yoga, pool aerobics, off-resort activities like the cenote, tequila tasting, etc. We didn't do any of these as our trip was short and we wanted to enjoy the resort - we spoke with others who really enjoyed the excursions!! Our ONLY downfall was that we are big hockey people, and we went during playoffs - they have a sports bar with TVs and will put on whatever game you want, plus pool, ping pong, etc., but it's all indoors. We would have loved to sit at an outside bar with TVS to enjoy the weather. Some final tips - Some of the restaurants have a dress code for dinner, so no bathing suits/ beach covers, etc. - Sunscreen is $50/ bottle at the gift shop - try to bring some that fits in your luggage Overall, I would recommend that anyone go to this resort, get to know the staff and enjoy the beautiful scenery!!

There’s plenty of choice. Frontera bar grill is superb for those that love steak sandwiches! Book the restaurants too and order more than one dish, we were big fans of them. The staff here get the biggest mention. They will make you anything to drink - even a baby Guinness! The cocktail recipes they know is extensive. We never had a bad drink in the 2 weeks there. They are so friendly, always greeting you and making sure that you have a great time. We got engaged a week into our holiday, the staff were very keen celebrating with us and congratulating us. The entertainment team: Luis, Luana, Benjamin, Maria, and Angel - thank you for making our trip so memorable. The trivias, bingo, Aqua fit, you name it was super fun. Thank you for your engagement with us, your well wishes and making sure we had fun every day! You’re all an asset to El Dorado. I highly recommend this place if you want to relax, refresh and renew - and drink your body weight in cocktails! We will be returning next year. Thank you!

Stayed in a swim out room at El Dorado Seaside Palms from 4/17 - 4/26. Room 4106. Great location. Close enough to everything, but still quiet enough to relax. First time at this resort. Have stayed at El Dorado Casitas several times in the past. Very similar atmosphere here with more of a laid back vibe and very tropical. This hotel is less expensive than Casitas. Food and drinks were great. We arranged free r/t transportation with the hotel before arriving. Within 15 minutes of exiting the airport terminal we were on our way to the resort. We did also book the free catamaran snorkel sail at Maroma beach, but we were notified upon arrival at that resort that it was canceled due to high winds. Spent 6 hours there anyway enjoying that beach, bar, and restaurant. Such a beautiful beach. Had no issues booking restaurants for 6pm seating. School vacation week, but didn’t seem overbooked. A couple of servers that were great were Margarida at the Mediterranean restaurant and Miguel at Mia Casa. Jesus was our swim up bartender. He makes a great drink, but never smiles or interacts with the guests. The one difference between Casitas and Palms is the word “no” At Casitas the response to a request at dinner or a drink is “Let me check on that” and it would be brought over with a smile. At Palms the answer is just “no”. Something small like can we add shrimp to an appetizer…”no”. Odd response since both are on the menu. Another example at breakfast we asked for a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Told they cannot do that but at Casitas we were told to come back the next day and they would have it for us. Small differences that add up. We will for sure stay here again. The value outweighs the service differences.

My love took me to this beautiful oasis of a resort. The property is large yet accessible, with multiple restaurants options and bars to enjoy. The food was delicious and room services options weren't bad. But it's the staff here who really created the most wonderful and exciting atmosphere that made it truly memorable. The entertainment staff are one of a kind; Benjamin, Luis, Luana and Angel! From morning Aquafit, volleyball, quizzes and epic foam parties into late night karaoke and dancing! The swim up bar-tenders; Crisanto and Marcelo were incredible and can make anyyyyy drink you could want. And they go above and beyond with both their service and their personalities! Fire dancers on the beach, with epic Mexican buffets and live singers were a highlight for us, as well as enjoying time swimming in the ocean by the beach bbq and bar called Fronterra. The food there is delicious! We really enjoyed our time here and not only would I highly recommend this hotel, but I also can't wait to go back again myself!

Fantastic stay at El Dorado. The entertainment team (Luis, Luana, Benjamin, Angel, Jose & Maria) made the stay extra amazing! The food was amazing and the accommodation had great views of the sea. The all team really went above and beyond to make our stay feel special.

So this was our 2nd visit, the 1st one being in 2019. We rarely visit the same place twice but needed a relaxing break and this resort was perfect for this last time. The resort itself remains beautiful and very clean. Changes More entertainment than last time - good Beach bbq has changed to a vegan restaurant, this seemed a waste of a prime spot. Last time this was our fav' place to dine and was full from breakfast to lunch. This time I only saw a handful of people there each lunchtime. The food there was okay if you like vegan food, but not for us, and clearly not for a lot of others ether. - Shame Inconsistency of information, was told we only had to book for 2 restaurants but on entering The Gourmet pub, told we needed a reservation? Emailed the resort about a week prior to staying but never got a response, also did not get our requested quiet room. Seems that preference is often given to members and people who wave fat tips about, this is a real shame and something I highly disagree with. This holiday is expensive and everyone there should be treated very well. The main change we noted was in the clientele, at the end of April/start of May, there were many very loud Americans. Now we understand people want to have fun but when it comes to swearing, shouting and singing lewd songs mocking The Lord's prayer at the top of your voice it does not make for a peaceful holiday. If those people ever see this, you should be ashamed of yourselves. This was in the graviotas pool in the afternoon, not at night. I am not particularly religious nor a prude but I found it offensive. The said Americans also seemed to think it was okay to smoke cigars in the pool, none of the staff mentioned it to them, so I guess it was okay as long as you tipped well? The seaweed remains a big problem around the Carribean coastline, the hotel staff work extremely hard to clear it. However, having a team of lads and a JCB up and down the sand in front of you all day does not make for the peaceful beach holiday you might imagine. For these reasons I would not come again. The resort is good value for money if you like a party atmosphere and are not bothered by the JCB!

We stayed here for 14 nights for our honeymoon last month. It was an excellent trip. We saw some negative reviews about this hotel shortly after we booked which worried us slightly as we had booked for our honeymoon due to the high quality reviews it received, the reviews seemed to get worse in 2024 when people were reporting that TUI customers were not given access to certain facilities without extra daily payment. We contacted TUI beforehand, and they confirmed our fears were correct, however when we arrived at the hotel we were told we could go anywhere in the resort with no extra charges (except from the spa). This was a huge relief to us because this was our first experience of ‘all inclusive’ and we felt like paying for certain facilities didn’t sound very all inclusive. We were disappointed that when we wrote to them TUI did not reassure us of this change to the situation (we were told at the hotel that had been the case last year but it was no longer the case). You would think they would know the latest about their own hotel! The resort itself is beautiful surrounded by palm trees and there is some amazing wildlife all around (birds, monkeys, lizards and we also saw coatis, raccoons and crabs). However at no point did we find the room had any insects or animals in which was really good. The snorkelling was also very good and the sea very clear. We loved the laid back friendly vibe of the hotel (all the staff say hola as they pass and cannot do enough for you). The food was also one of the highlights for us with the Italian, Japanese, Gourmet Pub and Driftwood restaurant being particular favourites. Our Concierge Axel was also very good. He organised for me to have a more comfortable pillow as I can’t sleep with the really big fluffy ones provided and needed something flatter. The service everywhere in the hotel was really good and was one of the highlights of the hotel. We really liked the Bali beds on the beach and were surprised to find we could normally get one whenever we wanted one. Some people have commented that this hotel is not 5 star but having never stayed in a 5 star hotel before we thought it was of a very good standard, the outdated rooms on the Palms side are the only thing that lets it down slightly. Our housekeeper Lidia Tuz was also excellent and sometimes checked our room twice a day and left us some beautiful towel character and decorations in the room. We used the collectivos to travel to other beach towns down the coast (Playa del Carmen and Puertos Morelos), we really enjoyed this but it is not really advertised or encouraged at the hotel because I think they want you to use their taxi services. However we found the taxis from the hotel were very expensive. This is the only criticism really and I think it would be good if there was a daily bus to Playa del Carmen for those who want a change of scene from the resort. There is a ‘free shopping bus’ but this takes you to 2 shops on the way which takes around 1.5 hours of your day. We did do this one day though and it wasn’t too bad and they were not too pushy, the transport was good also. Our room was on the top floor of the premium block on the Palms side, the room was a bit outdated but very roomy and fairly comfortable. The view from the top floor was also very good and we were glad to be away from the noise from the pool bar. We asked for a quiet room and we were glad we received one. The sound proofing was also pretty good in these rooms which is important to us. I did find the sun would sometimes wake me in the mornings through the curtains but that’s because we have blackout curtains at home. The only downside otherwise was that there was no iPod speaker as advertised in the room (however this was not a major problem as there were music channels on the tv). The bathroom layout was brilliant with double sinks, a separate shower room and toilet room and a jacuzzi bath for two. The jacuzzi bath was really good and worked, although a couple of times we tried using it the water was slightly brown (this was fixed by the next day but meant sometimes we couldn’t use at the time we wanted to). Entertainment wise we particularly enjoyed the saxophone player, the silent disco and the reggae band. The entertainment at the fire night and Mexican night was also very good. Overall, an excellent hotel and we really enjoyed our 14 day honeymoon, we are very glad TUI decided to no longer charge customers for some facilities as we felt this would have spoilt our experience if this had been the case. Thankyou to all the staff at the hotel who made our stay so special, we were congratulated by a staff member on our honeymoon when we first arrived but to our knowledge, nothing else was provided to mark this - however the housekeeper’s room decorations in some way made up for this as they were such nice surprises! This may have been because we regularly left a tip for her. Some flowers in the room and a card from the hotel might be a nice touch for future honeymooning guests.

There were emergency works due to a burst water pipe in the room next door to us, however I did not know it was emergency works, day one I didn’t act on it as I thought it could be an issue that’s quick to resolve; the works continued into day 2 where I spoke to reception and he assured me that they were due to finish later that day (day 2). Day 3 and that’s when pneumatic drilling started and I again spoke to reception and took video evidence of how loud it was in our room, hotel manager Mildred agreed it was not acceptable and offered us a room swap, we were hesitant to swap as we’d unpacked by this point, however Mildred checked again and the works were finishing that day, she explained it was an emergency etc we were very understanding and didn’t cause a scene or a fuss as some would. Mildred then compensated us with complimentary 25 minute massages & a session of hydrotherapy at the on site Naay Spa for which we were extremely grateful for and thankful. A few days later and thats when many of the premium guests were bathing in the sun in the premium area to be greeted by chainsaws, hammering and debris flying everywhere as they decided they were ripping up and re thatching the roof on the apartment next to the pool, many guests were extremely frustrated by this as again no communication was received from the hotel, the TUI Rep and hotel manager were then called to the area by some guests, this is when the workers then decided to set up ladders in the pool! To begin painting the exterior of the building while we were all in it, situations like that are what make you question am I actually in a 5 star resort that I paid thousands to be here. We then returned to our room to find a letter apologising for the works, and had a knock at the door from Andy another hotel manager, he told us to come and see them tomorrow, which we did and the guests affected were treated to a 100 USD Credit to spend on paid services at the hotel, I’d like to reiterate we are not the type of people to go to hotels to complain and try and get freebies, I think this is just how this hotel deals with situations like this to keep its reputation up. Which is a nice touch. Unfortunately the letter we signed saying we had a 100 USD Credit was lost when we went to check out, I explained to the receptionist who was checking us out what had happened after nearly half an hour we were able to check out as someone sent him a photo of the letter, my advice if anything happens during your stay where you’re given compensation or a service get a copy as it will make check out a lot smoother as it took us nearly half an hour. A la carte restaurants were not on the top of our go to list, the menus were extremely niche & portion sizes left you hungry in my opinion, the buffet at seaside market was a great dinner spot as such wide variety and you could have as little or much as you want, If you prefer to be sat down and waited on then a la carte maybe for you but you’ll be waiting a while at some of them, we waited nearly 20 minutes just for our drinks order in the Mexican one night. Ensure when you’re making reservations with the concierge that you double check the days, as we were supposed to be going to the Asian one day, the day we turned up Jordy the restaurant manager said that our concierge had booked us for the previous night however our itinerary said the day we went, the restaurant manager then said he could not accommodate us as it was to busy we left and I went back to the room to get the itinerary just to prove to him we went the day we were told, when I arrived back I said that I’d raise a complaint as we waited in before going out at our reservation time to get dinner then all of a sudden it was okay and we could be accommodated Jordy mentioned that concierge always seem to do this, so check & check again! Axel the concierge did come round to us the next day to apologise, however I understand mistakes are made but we were made to feel like we were in the wrong for the hotels mistake by the restaurant, aside from that the food at the Asian restaurant was our favourite from the whole stay. We used our $100USD Credit from the hotel due to the inconvenience at the premium pool, for a tomahawk steak on the beach on Mexican night, this would normally cost around $110US for 2 people I believe, so we only paid the difference as we had a credit, the night was entertaining, would I pay over £80 for this? Probably not… I asked for a medium rare tomahawk it was well done, it was extremely fatty, but it was free so I have no complaints, if I was paying the full price, then maybe a different story, this does also include a reserved table of your own at the front. The entertainment we thoroughly enjoyed, fire dances, mariachi band all sorts of really enjoyable entertainment but you can enjoy this for free, there are other packages available instead of the steak. House keeping maids were exceptional, the room was always left clean and tidy every day. There is a safe in the room, iron and ironing board, coffee maker, umbrella, etc… Staff are really friendly and helpful the room service staff impeccable can’t do enough for you, the waiters and waitress round by the premium pool always made sure we had drinks, the sargassum was tackled by extremely hard working teams throughout the day to keep the beach clear and picturesque. I have written such a long review as some people spend there savings coming away on holiday and I wanted to be as honest and fair as I could so you can have just a little bit more of an insight on what to expect. Jose, Maria, Angel, Luis, Benjamin, Luana spend every hour of the day getting you involved with activities and making so much effort to get to know you, they were truly the best part of the entire holiday! 5/5 for everything they provided, I'm going to miss them a lot! The rooms were a bit outdated and in need of refreshment. The main buffet is lacking and definitely smaller / less variety than most all-inclusive restaurants. You are encouraged to dine at the Al La Carte restaurants which are mostly great apart from the Pub (really bad / dry food!) The themed food nights on the beach also made myself and another couple sick - I don't think having an open buffet outside is a good idea. The pool area is lovely and well maintained, I'd definitely recommend the Palms pool over the Infinity / American side

From start to finish, our stay at El Dorado Seaside Palms exceeded expectations. The rooms were huge and all came with a hot tub as standard, which is a magical touch, the grounds were beautiful and there were cute little raccoons running around which was adorable to see. The staff were so polite and friendly and everyone would say hello to you as you passed on the grounds. Also, as the hotel is not as large as your typical Cancun mega resort, there is a real intimate family-feel presence you get there which is truly special. Shoutout to Luis - a wonderful member of the entertainment team, who always brought energy and smiles. And also a big shoutout to Francisco - a wonderful man that drove the buggy’s around, he always made us laugh. The food on the trip was amazing, never lacking choice or options. We didn’t use the buffet dinner any of the nights as there are so many restaurant to choose from, which didn’t make the meals feel repetitive like other hotels sometimes would feel. The star of the trip for us was the Mediterranean restaurant, completely different food to the rest of the place but was exquisite. Full of flavour and the staff there were amazing too. Shoutout to Domingo, a wonderful member of staff that made burritos at lunchtime which we ended up returning to eat everyday. The entertainment was also really good, they had reggae bands and karaoke nights. Coconut paining and insense making. Mexican fiesta night and silent discos. All really fun activities! Watersports were also included - paddle boarding , kayaking etc. The real showstopper of the hotel was the beach. Covered in beautiful palm trees and thick white sand, it was the most unreal beach I’ve ever seen. The seaweed is a massive problem there but the staff work all day long to clear it - I felt so bad for them as it’s so hot! Altogether I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough. It is perfect if you wanted a chilled out beach holiday. Away from the hustle and bustle of Cancun and playa del carmen. But still only a 20 minute drive from Xplor park and the Cenotes for a fun filled day out.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at El Dorado Seaside Palms. We spent our honeymoon here in 2018 and to be honest we were a little apprehensive about returning having read some of the recent reviews. We needn’t have worried as it was just as wonderful as we remembered with the added bonus of some positive changes. This time we stayed in the Premium section. The room was lovely and was cleaned daily. One comment I would make is the toilet doors are frosted with no lock and a large gap round the door. I’d personally prefer more privacy. My other slight gripe was that this time there was no towel art which we really enjoyed our last visit. We spent a lot of our time round the activity pool. Luis, Maria, Angel and Jose worked really hard with fun games and fitness. Special shout out to Andrea who I did lots of fitness classes with. She is sunshine in a bottle and her enthusiastic “shaky shaky” aquafit was one of my favourite daily activities. We ate in all of the restaurants, Mia Casa and La Carreta were our favourites but the food was gorgeous in all of the restaurants. We also went to the Elements dinner which was a BBQ on the beach. Make sure you get confirmation of your bookings at Klay Tlay and Mia Casa as they did not have a record of our booking when we went. We had confirmation though so they let us in. One of the positive changes since our last visit is the availability of some sweet treats and ice cream every day. There is still a little way to go before it matches the "American side" ice cream stall but it’s an improvement. The evening entertainment was also great, Didi on the entertainments team did a good job ensuring everyone had a brilliant time. We absolutely loved the silent disco and went both weeks. We also really liked the use of the Plaza Zocala as an evening venue as last time we went this was a bit of a wasted space. All the staff are friendly and helpful, everyone says Hola to you when you’re walking around. We had an issue with the lock on our balcony. We reported it and it was fixed the same evening. I was a bit disappointed with the four gift shops which sadly seem to have become carbon copies of each other selling the same stuff. There were some very odd African animal sculptures which were ludicrously expensive! I’d rather see souvenirs like Mexican rugs or more pottery. In 2018 the four shops all sold different gifts which meant we managed to buy more varied souvenirs. I booked a facial at the spa for the second week of our holiday and so it was quite annoying being constantly hassled by spa stuff asking if you wanted a massage daily. However, when my spa visit came around it was utter bliss. It’s expensive but worth it for a treat. All in all we absolutely loved our second visit to Elsa and we are already planning to return in a few years for our 10 year anniversary. When we arrived this time they said "Welcome home." It truly feels like our home from home and we can’t wait to come back!

Is my first visit in Mexico and what a great place to stay, the room was good, the pool was wonderful and it was a lot of seaweed on the beach but the guys work so hard to keep it clean. I could like to give a special mention to my friend Luis from entertainment team, he’s a amazing and beautiful soul, he makes up smile every moment that we talk to him, magnetic personality that throws you away. Not got one bad thing to say about our experience at this hotel. From day one we were very welcomed and attended to from the staff, we felt very comfortable and utterly enjoyed our stay. We found the "what we call" the main pool at Arrecifes pool. The entertainment team were so good and made you feel welcomed and learnt names fast. This is the codes and then names of the entertainment team are: Luis made us feel ultra welcome and made time to play games and have a good chat about us and him, on our last day he taught us a new card game that we loved and will continue you play in the future. Andrea was really good at the water aerobics and got us involved! Jose, Angel, Benjamin & Luana were also people we met there and we had the chance to play games and get involved with other guest! Such a great time here and loved the experience!!!!

Fantastic 2 weeks spent at El Dorado seaside suites. Hotel was beautiful but one thing that stood out was how clean everywhere is. Food is great with lots of verity every day to choose from - our favourite being seaside market for breakfast & the Japanese restaurant for tea. Staff were very friendly and attentive - We spent the majority of our day interacting with the entertainment staff around arrecifes pool during the day. Luis personally stood out to us as he came over to where we were lay and introduced himself, told us about what was happening around the pool that day and that if we needed anything he’s happy to help. Since meeting Luis we have joined in with all activities which we wouldn’t usually have the confidence to do and it’s enabled us to enjoy our holiday so much more. The other staff angel and the two girls who also offer entertainment around the pool are very polite and welcoming. We will definitely be returning to this hotel in the neer future.

Me and my wife booked through Tui for our honeymoon at El Derado seaside suite, and boy it didn’t disappoint! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and would bend over backwards to help us with anything we needed. Always smiling and welcoming whenever we saw them. They couldn’t have done enough. The resort is right next to the sea with the jungle to the back of the complex, so it had an abundance of wildlife around the resort which me and the wife both loved to see! Especially the iguanas and coatis. We noticed the staff took time to look after them, leaving snacks/fruit and plenty of water out, to give them a helping hand in the very hot weather. The food at the resort was brilliant, offering plenty of options all over, which kept it fresh and not repetitive. The activities at the pool during the day were a welcome break from sunbathing, whether that was water polo, pool exercise classes, or quizzes. Luis was a great guy, very friendly with us and to everyone and great at getting everyone up and involved! Him, Jose, liana, Octavio, Benjamin, angel, Andrea all did a brilliant job! And the same can be said for all the evening entertainment they put on. They all work so hard and it really shows! We’re looking forward to coming back to Mexico in the future, and will definitely be picking El Derado seaside suite as the place to stay again 🙌🏻 Thank you all!

We have just returned from our second trip to this resort. First time back in 2017 and then this time we returned for our honeymoon/ one year anniversary after falling in love with the place so much first time around. We were a little apprehensive that things may have changed a lot over the years and it wouldn't be quite as magical as the first time but it definitely lived up to our expectations! On arrival to the resort, check in staff had no idea about any TUI honeymoon/anniversary offers noted on our account which we were told were included at the time of booking, which was initially a little disappointing. However, upon speaking to concierge the next day, they were very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay so special. Shout out to our concierge Marilyn for making sure we were so well looked after. She arranged a romantic breakfast to our room on our anniversary, a bottle of sparkling wine delivered to the room, our room was decorated, sweet treats on three different occasions, sorted a great spa offer for us both and a special anniversary dessert in the restaurant on the last night of our holiday. It was made so special for us and we're so grateful for that. The resort itself and the grounds are beautiful. It really is a paradise and such a gorgeous setting to wake up to and walk around every day. It's quite intimate yet still lots to walk around and see. Buggys are on hand everywhere to take you wherever you want to go too. The beach is stunning. Sadly sargassum season is in full force so we weren't able to go in the sea very much. But the guys on the beach work so hard all day long trying to clear it up! We had a swim up junior suite which we absolutely loved. Our room, 4006, was right near to the swim up bar and got fantastic sun all day long. The rooms are authentically Mexican themed, which we liked. They do look a little dated and could probably do with a freshen up and painted brighter but we were told this was in progress. Housekeeping is fantastic. They do such a great job, room is cleaned and refreshed with new towels daily. Mini bar and water bottles are constantly stocked up. And had lots of different towel art on the bed throughout our stay which was lovely. Food is great, there's a good selection of choice. Buffet breakfasts were a little repetitive but good food. Klay Talay and Mia Casa you will need reservations for, via concierge, but are so worth it. Klay Talay was our favourite meal during our stay. Seaside market has a good choice and different themes for evening food. The only disappointment was La Carratera (the mexican) which we absolutely loved last time. For some reason this was closed and temporarily moved into the buffet place at night. Nobody told us this and theres no signage anywhere to say it was closed/ moved. The menu is also nowhere near as good as it used to be which was such a shame. The themed dinner nights on the beach (Mexican fiesta) are amazing, such great food. No need to pay extortionate amounts for a 'private table' which they tried to push, just eat at the shared table and then move to the chairs at the front after to watch the entertainment. There's also a brilliant choice for lunch. Sandwicherie has the best wood fired pizzas, burritos, burgers and all the nachos you could want. Driftwood was also lovely. Although we loved the beach bbq right at the end of the resort, chicken skewers were so yummy! Drinks are plentiful and so much choice. My only gripe is they have got rid of the cocktail menus so I didn't have a clue what I was asking for. I found myself asking what other people had or just telling the bartender what sort of thing we liked and they'd make something up. Within a few days, we'd discovered some fantastic cocktails though. There's a great choice of entertainment. Lots of daytime activities if thats your thing. We did a tequila testing session which was fun. We enjoyed the evening performances (mexican fiesta, fire show, glow night, acrobatic performances). The white party was a little pointless, there wasn't much of a party, just lots of people sitting around listening to some live music. However, the silent disco that followed was so much fun! The foam party on Saturday afternoon is also fantastic. It is definitely not a party resort, there is a dj in the evening at Guacamayas each night but it's a much more chilled vibe. Some party animals there for sure but if that's something that is important to you, this probably isn't the place for you. We think there's a good mix of a peaceful resort and the chance to let your hair down a bit. The app was a bit of an issue. TUI push you to use their TUI Blue app, which is very informative. However, the resort also has its own app/ website which lists activities and info etc. Which we only know about from being on a resort facebook group, nobody actually told us about it. There is also a list of activities on the tv in the rooms. Now the problem with this was they all didnt match up. There were activities listed that didn't happen. Eg, TUI app said a cabaret show one night which we, along with a few others, sat waiting for and wasn't until we asked the bar man who said there was no show. There were a few instances we noticed things not matching up, so we were never really sure what was right. This really needs to be sorted out. There used to be screens dotted around the resort listing activities which were better. Not everyone uses the apps. The choices of excursions are great. We went to Xcaret - a very very long day but worth every second. We also did the Cenote swim and swimming with turtles which was incredible. And also the $1 shopping trip via TUI. The jewellery and tequila factory shops they take you to first are great, we really enjoyed this. However, the shopping trip to Playa Del Carmen... never again. They drop you so far away from the fifth avenue shopping area. Then strip itself is just hundreds of shops selling the same stuff. And scammers EVERYWHERE and we unfortunately were scammed. It did not feel very safe and sadly put a real dampener on the trip. We booked our excursions via the TUI reps at the resort. Marcelo was fantastic and so informative. We had a slight hiccup with a booking error on their part and he got this sorted with no fuss at all. We visited the spa twice during our stay. We had a hydrotherapy and massage offer via concierge for our anniversary. The spa is beautiful and my massage was dreamy. We loved the hydrotherapy treatment so much that we booked it again for the final morning of our stay to relax us for the veryyy long flight home. Don't be fooled by the 'today only' offers though, there's a deal to be had every day. Spa reps everywhere, they're lovely but trying to get commission and actually we got our best offer through concierge. There's lots of wildlife and animals around the resort - lizards, racoons, coatis, capybaras, snakes.. which is really cool even though i'm slightly terrified! The staff are wonderful, every person you walk past says hola with a smile. Tipping is highly encouraged. Being from the UK, its not really our culture to tip so don't feel pressured to do it just because the Americans are because the staff don't expect it. However, we did tip lots of the staff purely because they deserve it, they work so hard to make the stay so special. The vibe of the resort is lovely, everyone talks to everyone and it's super friendly around the pool areas/ bars. Almost everyone we spoke to had been to the resort before, and so many people come year after year. And there's a reason. This place is special and will capture your heart, just like it has for us. Sadly, i'm not sure we will be back (at least for a long time) as we have a little one and with this resort being adults only, it will be difficult. But we remain hopeful to be back one day. We have fallen in love with El Dorado all over again. We can't thank you enough for making our honeymoon so special.

El Dorado – Nearly Perfect in Every Way! I booked this trip as a surprise 50th birthday celebration for my wonderful wife, and she was absolutely thrilled. We arranged private transfers through Canada Transfers, and I can’t recommend them enough—smooth, professional service all the way. The hotel, located on the Palms side, is a true gem. Nestled in a lush, rainforest-like setting, with birds, Komodo dragons, and raccoons roaming the grounds, it felt like a paradise. The entire property is meticulously maintained, creating a tranquil and immersive environment. We stayed in the Premium Section, which is a 6-story building complete with its own pool and swim-up bar—perfect for a romantic getaway. With six à la carte restaurants to choose from (two of which can be booked through the concierge), the dining options were excellent. Each meal was delicious, and the staff were a standout—polite, helpful, and always smiling. A special shout-out to Andrea, the TUI representative, who went above and beyond. She surprised us by decorating our room for my wife’s birthday, and it was beautifully done. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and lovely. A small tip for future visitors: if you're staying for an extended period, bring a dehumidifier bag for the wardrobe. The humidity can cause clothes to dampen, and I found mine about a quarter full after 10 nights. There were a few minor improvements I’d suggest: It would be nice to have some light snacks available while enjoying an afternoon drink before dinner, and the quality of both red and white wines could use some enhancement. Wine lovers might be a little disappointed with what’s on offer. Overall, though, I can’t fault the experience. It was 10/10 all the way. We’ll definitely be returning in the future!

The food is fantastic , the grounds of the complex are beautiful, rooms i would say are somewhat dated , the staff are friendly but like a tip , I guess that's the American influence, if you like the beach and the sea you'd better avoid this hotel , it was like a building site with the JCB up and down all day clearing the seaweed, in all honesty I've never seen anything quite like it.

Entertainment team is amazing here, even though its adults only there is so much to do throught the day and night Jose, Maria, Luis, Angel and Benjamin, luana and andrea are especially great 👍 , resurants are fab here, staff all amazing cant do enough for you x

We had the BEST time at El Droado Palms. We had so much fun doing the activities, especially with Angel, Jose, Maria, y Luis. The couldn’t have adked for a better honeymoon trip. We have made memories that will last a lifetime. We would recommend el dorado to anyone. Gracias!!!!

The entertainment staff are the best! Jose, Angel, Maria, Benjamin, Luana and Luis have made this holiday so much fun for me and my partner. Their activities are always fun, energetic and varied. They have the best energy and are super friendly. They made our holiday 10/10 and we would not have as much fun without them! Andrea is a brilliant fitness instructor, her Yoga, Step, AquaFit and Dance classes are so much fun and a great addition to our holiday. We loved the activities and hope that other guests enjoy as much as we did.

Jose and Luis kept us laughing and moving with fun activities and great music, while Angel and Maria led fantastic fitness sessions that somehow made working out feel like a vacation highlight. Benjamin brought such warmth and charisma to every event, Luana was always enthusiastic and full of spirit, and Andrea’s kindness and professionalism really stood out.
