If I could, I would give this six stars! This beautiful, luxurious hotel is a short way out of Corte. It has ample parking and the staff go out of their way to be welcoming. It feels very private. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the small gorge and stream that flowed by. The room was spotless and very quiet and comfortable. It was a short walk into town. The grounds are beautiful and the trees are colorfully lit up at night. There is a small bar that is well stocked. The whole experience made us feel pampered and comfortable. I highly recommend this special property!

Fabulous stay in the Restonica Valley. A unique location with a fabulous pool setting alongside the river. Great help from Michaela and Natalie. Rooms are good and comfortable and breakfast is awesome on the patio. No dinner service is provided, so you need to drive to the village of Corte....

Where to start.... a little bit of "Zen Heaven"... well that is a prelude to how you will feel if you commit a few days to Dominique Colonna. Located on the Tavignano River, this property is the ideal marriage of design,comfort, quiet sophistication plus an amazing staff. The rooms are warmly accessorized amidst building materials of the earth. Tile, wood, stone and the evolving wealth of the surrounding forest. I guarantee you will find yourself exploring with an ever widening smile. Breakfast is remarkable with so many beautiful options all lovingly and locally sourced- a great start to any day. Corte also offers opportunities to investigate but trust those stars at the front desk are well versed to head you in the right direction or make dinner reservations at "a Casuccia" or "U Museu" both excellent choices. Many many thank-yous to Natalie, Presley, Elianna and everyone in the kitchen. I wish we were there right now.

On the doorstep of the Restonica valley and biggest mountains on the island, Dominique is a tranquil, beautiful hotel that should not be missed in Corsica. The campus is on top of flowing river, making it easy to spend several days just relaxing by the water. If planning to hike, bike or climb, the location could not be better. After a week of (crazy) driving on Corsica, being a 15-minute walk into Corte is an added bonus.

We enjoyed a relaxing three nights at this intelligently and beautifully designed hotel combining stonework with natural wood and glass to create a soothing restorative environment. We enjoyed a relaxing three nights at this intelligently and beautifully designed hotel combining stonework with natural wood and glass to create a soothing restorative environment. The breakfast buffet offered a multitude of tasty homemade choices, including local cheeses, meats, a superb selection of home-made granolas, fruits, quiches, breads, fresh melt-in-your-mouth little pastries and more. The staff were lovely, with special thanks to Agathe for offering so many helpful tips for restaurants and trains. The pool area is fabulous and you can order from a small selection of lunch items plus wine etc. Beside the river, a more tranquil setting I can't imagine. One evening we enjoyed a night-cap relaxing on the patio. The photos do not do it justice. Wish I had booked for a month. Divine!

This is one of those hotels where you know you have struck gold the moment you walk through the doors! Everything about it oozes style and quality, let alone its stunning location above a river gorge, and the terrace and pool overlooking it. Dinner was booked for us at the restaurant opposite as the hotel restaurant isn't open in the evening (don't let that put you off: our dinner was excellent!) We had a 'river view' room and it was lovely to open the doors to the balcony and hear the sound of rushing water below. The breakfast buffet was one of the finest I have seen, with home-made calls, and a big selection of home-made mueslis and granolas. This is quite a magical place, and we wished we could have stayed for more than one night.

Fabulously located alongside the gushing Restonica river and exquisitely constructed so that the rooms and public spaces take full advantage of the setting, the Dominique Colonna offers a unique getaway experience. But its accommodation is very expensive, and for that you've a right to expect more from a hotel. While the breakfast (a hefty €24pp) was curated with care and generosity, the hotel does not have its own restaurant, and even its promised lunchtime snacks turned out to be unavailable. The bar was operated ad hoc by reception staff as often as not. On the opposite side of the car park is the lesser (and unconnected) Auberge de la Restonica, which thankfully has a full-service restaurant to provide both lunch and dinner to Colonna guests without wheels to take them to restaurants elsewhere. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming, and Isabelle was a stand-out. Just incidentally, the hotel organised a taxi for us, both from and to the railway station, and both journeys had over €30 on the clock before they'd even started.

We loved this hotel as a home base to hike and check out northern Corsica. The outdoor space is stunning, with the chance to walk along and swim in the crystal clear river running through the property, and have breakfast alongside it each morning. Speaking of breakfast, it was one of the best we have ever experienced at a hotel. Marcella, part of the hotel team, makes much of it herself from scratch each day, and it showed with excellent quality and new types of homemade cakes, quiches, and granolas each day. Vanessa who serves drinks throughout the day was a delight as well. The hotel is beautiful but the friendly, professional staff is what made our stay really special. Highly recommended.
