We spent 2 nights in the most wonderful cabin. It was so clean and had such a comfy bed. We had all the comforts of home. Don is the nicest man. He picked us up from the bus stop and took us on a tour of the town. We were in walking distance of the main downtown. He was so helpful and answered any questions we had. We had a nice porch with a couch swing. We had to take our shoes off before entering the cabin, but that's what keeps the floors so clean. There was a good breakfast place just a short walk from the cabin. This was one of the nicest stays for our 50th anniversary! Thank you Don!

Don was most hospitable and picked us up at the train station. The grounds and cabins are immaculately kept!! The town was picturesque with fun people we meant through our wanderings. We also recommend latitude 62 for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bartenders are super fun. Will be back to visit!

Stayed one night in cabin #3 and was so pleased with everything. Don was very accommodating when we checked in and gave us ideas of places to see in town as well as restaurants to eat at. The unit was huge with two queen beds as well as sink separate from the toilet and tub. Everything was so clean. If we return to Talkeetna, we would stay there again. Close enough to center of town, yet far enough away to avoid the crowds.

We enjoyed our stay at fireside cabins and wish we could have stayed longer. Had a few great conversations with the owner and he had a recommendation for a great spot to see Mt Denali and it was truly one of the most spectacular views I've ever seen!(I'll let him...

We enjoyed our stay at fireside cabins and wish we could have stayed longer. Had a few great conversations with the owner and he had a recommendation for a great spot to see Mt Denali and it was truly one of the most spectacular views I've ever seen!(I'll let him tell you the spot(-:) Also the bed in the cabin was one of the most comfortable we've ever slept on and we've slept on a lot of beds! Highly recommend staying here, next time we hope to stay longer than a day!

You will not be disappointed if you stay in these beautiful spacious cabins. We stayed here for two nights on the way to Denali. Even though the cabins were not far from the road, we never heard any noise from the outside. The cabin was spotless, beds were super comfortable and the location can’t be beat. We walked into town for everything - to shop, eat and just hang out. K2 Aviation is just around the corner, which was so convenient! Don is an amazing person and really takes pride in his cabins.

What an amazing place to stay in Talkeetna. We spoke with Don and he was so nice and so helpful. Denali was out the two days we were there and we could see it from our cabin so amazing. The cabin we had was beautiful, very clean. Everything that we needed was there the bed was comfortable we loved it. Highly recommend this Denali fire side cabins to anyone coming to Talkeetna. The cabin is close to downtown may be less than half a mile walk easy access to everything. Don even picked us up from the train station and returned us to the train station when we left. Thank you again Don for welcoming us, your cabins made our stay perfect!

Great property for visiting Talkeetna. About a 10 walk to the river’s edge to try to catch a view of Mt. Denali and about 7 minutes to the center of town (same route). Nice restaurant, Latitude 42, next door open all day. It is away from the day crowds in Talkeetna. Located between the main road and RR tracks but weren’t bothered by either. Don will provide transportation between bus and train stations and take you on a quick tour of town. This is a lot more cozy than the big lodges and within easy walking distance to the main highlights. Beds are comfortable, stove heaters keep the cabins warm if needed, kitchenette facilities are good. No complaints.

Our cabin was delightful! It was very roomy, spotlessly clean, quiet, and nicely decorated. It's in a great location, just outside of busy downtown and next door to a restaurant and Mahay's for tours. Don was the perfect host.

We never noticed the train at night, the bed was really comfortable and we appreciated having a frig, coffee maker and microwave. Cabin is centrally located near restaurants and shops that are within a short walk. I definitely would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at Denali Fireside Cabins. The host/owner Don is on site. Don was a pleasure to work with setting up our reservation. Upon our arrival Don was very hospitable and shared his expertise and knowledge regarding the area and some exceptional food establishments. Our cabin was spacious and immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable, definitely a plus. We plan on returning to Alaska and will stay here again!
